The X-men run missions and work together with the NYPD, striving to maintain a peaceful balance between humans and mutants. When it comes to a fight, they won't back down from protecting those who need their help.
Haven presents itself as a humanitarian organization for activists, leaders, and high society, yet mutants are the secret leaders working to protect and serve their kind. Behind the scenes they bring their goals into reality.
From the time when mutants became known to the world, SUPER was founded as a black-ops division of the CIA in an attempt to classify, observe, and learn more about this new and rising threat.
The Syndicate works to help bring mutantkind to the forefront of the world. They work from the shadows, a beacon of hope for mutants, but a bane to mankind. With their guiding hand, humanity will finally find extinction.
Since the existence of mutants was first revealed in the nineties, the world has become a changed place. Whether they're genetic misfits or the next stage in humanity's evolution, there's no denying their growing numbers, especially in hubs like New York City. The NYPD has a division devoted to mutant related crimes. Super-powered vigilantes help to maintain the peace. Those who style themselves as Homo Superior work to tear society apart for rebuilding in their own image.

Serena smiled weakly as the girl thanked her and dashed off to get Serena something to get to eat and drink. She giggled after the girl had left the room, feeling slightly light headed. A small, more clear headed part of the girl'd mind knew that she should be fine shortly, provided she got some food and water in her.
She was so very happy that she had been able to help her little friend. She remembered the first night she had arrived at the mansion, broken and possibly in shock. She had just lost her brother and Victoria had let her stay in her room as Serena hadn't found anyone who could set her up with somewhere to stay.
As Victoria entered and brought Serena a glass of water and piece of fruit, she smiled to the little girl and smiled, then began to drink water and munch the apple.
A couple of minutes later, she drank the last of the water and finished devouring the fruit. Some colour had begun to return to her face, not much, but it was slowly happening.
She smiled to Victoria. "Uh...Thanks, Victoria... Could you just give me a few minutes to get my thoughts... back... together." Serena's bloodloss had made her more than a little dizzy. So her words were not coming out as they were intended to.

Smiling that Serena accepted the food and drink Victoria sat down next to her friend. She watched as color slowly started to return to Serena’s face. It was quite amazing really. “Take all the time you need Serena.” A smile and a gentle hug followed.
Serena leaned back against the wall, letting herself rest and regain some strength. She felt Victoria wrap her arms around her in a hug. She smiled and gently rested her arm on Victoria's back.
She smiled down at the little girl. "So, Victoria... What do you do for fun? You seem to be a relatively awesome girl." she said in a motherly tone. She really liked the girl, she was so sweet and innocent.
Cuddling felt nice and Serena was comfy. It was good that they were able to help each other. Victoria liked the older blonde more and more. She was sweet and caring. That meant a lot to the little vampire.
“For fun?” The question caught the girl off guard for a moment. “I go for walks around the gardens at night. Sometimes I go to the music room and play some of the instruments and sing or hum songs. What do you do for fun?” Victoria figured Serena would have different interests since she could be out during the day and was older than herself.
Serena smiled sweetly as the Victoria responded to her. She let the girl rest on her and was thankful for company at night, even if it was after giving said company her blood so that they could survive.
She thought about it for a moment. "Hmm, Well, I do love reading. A lot. Probably too much... And I also love walking, and I love swimming! It's so nice..." She gently stroked Victoria's hair and relaxed.
She was starting to feel much less light headed. The whole recovery from blood loss part of her power was awesome.
"You've got a really nice voice, I bet you've also got a really nice singing voice." she said, the smile clearly there, even if it wasn't visible.
“Oh! I didn’t think about reading. I probably don’t do it as much as you but I read sometimes too.” Serena’s compliment made the girl blush. “Aitah! I used to sing with my mom. She taught me how and she taught me how to play some musical instruments as well.”
Serena smile again down to Victoria. "Your mother sounds like a lovely person." she then proceeded to giggle. "I don't think there are many people who read as much as I do..." she gave the girl a grin.
Serena wondered what Victoria's Family was like, she didn't speak about them with any sense of sadness, so she assumed they were still both alive and were the ones who had sent Victoria to the mansion due to her rather young age. Probably after they found out about the young Vampire's mutation.
It made the Haemokinetic wonder what her mother had been like... She had heard brief mention of her before from her father before he passed away, it always came out in a rather sad tone. And she got brief impressions from her older brother, but she also got the feeling that he didn't ever know her terribly well.
It was sad, the fact that Serena knew extremely little, nearly nothing about her mother, apart from the fact that she had died shortly after Serena was born.
Not really knowing what to say in regards to Serena’s reading ability the girl responded to the compliment about her mother. “She is! She’s very caring and helpful. I miss my family.” She had been so caught up with meeting new people since she had arrived at the mansion that Victoria hadn’t thought of her parents till now.
Serena gently stroked the young vampire's hair. "I can imagine missing your mother a lot if you've lived here for a while..." Serena's voice sounded almost sad.
In truth, Serena had never met her own mother, her Father had told her when she was about 12 that she had died in childbirth, Serena had always resented her father slightly for telling her that, why did she have to be the one to live? Why did her mother need to die.
But now, he was gone too, and she could never say sorry for the way she had resented him, or the things she never said and should have said.
She had actually come to terms with her fathers death a long while ago as it had happened several years before hand, but that didn't mean she didn't feel slightly numb every time she thought of him.
And then there was her brother... Well, she still wasn't quite ready to deal with that.

Having someone like Serena around made the younger girl feel better. She was caring and understanding as well as being all round sweet. Victoria was very glad to call her a friend.
The stroking of her hair and the showing of compassion led the smaller blonde to start humming happy little songs. She felt very comfortable with Serena.
