The X-men run missions and work together with the NYPD, striving to maintain a peaceful balance between humans and mutants. When it comes to a fight, they won't back down from protecting those who need their help.
Haven presents itself as a humanitarian organization for activists, leaders, and high society, yet mutants are the secret leaders working to protect and serve their kind. Behind the scenes they bring their goals into reality.
From the time when mutants became known to the world, SUPER was founded as a black-ops division of the CIA in an attempt to classify, observe, and learn more about this new and rising threat.
The Syndicate works to help bring mutantkind to the forefront of the world. They work from the shadows, a beacon of hope for mutants, but a bane to mankind. With their guiding hand, humanity will finally find extinction.
Since the existence of mutants was first revealed in the nineties, the world has become a changed place. Whether they're genetic misfits or the next stage in humanity's evolution, there's no denying their growing numbers, especially in hubs like New York City. The NYPD has a division devoted to mutant related crimes. Super-powered vigilantes help to maintain the peace. Those who style themselves as Homo Superior work to tear society apart for rebuilding in their own image.

She didn't remember Valentine's Day, or the fight that left her heart broken. She didn't remember the fight with Forte. She didn't remember the pain. She didn't remember breaking her wrist, or getting taken to the doctors. She didn't remember freaking out when they tried to look at the broken bone, and she didn't remember calling the doctors nasty names. All she remembers was falling backwards, and a crack of floor against skull. Then there was darkness. When she woke up, she was laying on a bed in an empty room, and she didn't know how she got there.
Tses didn't remember. Not her name, not where she was from, or how she got to the clinic. She didn't know how she broke her wrist, or why she was in so much pain. The doctors kept asking who she was, but she couldn't tell them, and they couldn't tell her. In the end, neither of them knew what to do. In the end, they just loaded her into a cab, and told the driver to take her to 'that mansion place'. At least there someone might recognize the lost little mutant who's hands kept glowing green when she was nervous. Tses didn't remember if it was normal for her hands to glow like that.
But that wasn't anything new at this point.
The ride to the 'mansion' was long, and the 22 year old woman curled up in the back seat of the cab like a child rather than an adult. She was dressed in jeans and a t-shirt, with her typical arm bands, and her wrist was splinted and bandaged. They had tried to put it in a sling, but Tses couldn't stand how it felt. Somewhere in the back of her mind, it felt too restricting. Just like the seat belts in this car.
Then, she was there. Sitting in front of the gates of a grassy lawn, uncertain what to do. The cab had left, and here she sat, confused and alone. She stared at her boots, and tried hard to remember, something, anything. But there was nothing but a throbbing pain from her body, a dizzy feeling nausea, and an empty space somewhere in the back of her mind where her memories used to be.

It was a fairly nice day and Regan had decided to try and get a little more work done in the green house to get things tidied up some more so more repairs could be completed. She managed to get a few things organized and in their proper place, when her stomach let out a familiar growl. It was already time for something to eat, so she left the green house, locking it up, and headed towards the front doors.
On her way back to the mansion, Regan noticed a blond haired person slumped in a ball on the other side of the large iron gates. Curious, Regan walked over to the gates and took a quick sniff of the air. The scent of medical grade cleaners mixed with the crisp scent that was Tses, made Regan growl and storm off towards the gate.
“What the hell are you doing here Tses? Come to egg the mansion, or spray paint the cars? Oh I know, you must be here to pick another fight with me, am I right?” Regan growled and bared her fangs at Tses. Regan may have walked away from the last fight, but she was not going to let Tses ruin her home, she was on Regan’s territory and she wasn’t about to back down this time around.
The voice that was approaching sounded angry, and when Tses glanced up in shock she found herself facing what looked somewhat like a person, and somewhat like a tiger. She wasn't sure if she should feel surprised by this girl's appearance. She didn't feel surprised, and wondered if it was normal. The girl had red hair, white fur with green stripes, and there were small smudges of dirt on her leftover from the greenhouse. Tses didn't know that was where the dirt came from though. She wondered if the girl had just been playing outdoors somewhere.
T...ess?
The word sounded like a name. It sounded familiar. But it sounded wrong. Tess. Was that her? Did this person know her? She hoped not. This person seemed awfully angry. 'Tess' scrambled to her feet, and blinked with wide deer eyes at the figure prowling up to her, her hands unwillingly shaking as she blinked at the angry figure. "Egg the mansion? Spray paint....fight? No, I... is that something I'd do?" She squeaked, voice sounding quiet and bewildered. She wasn't sure she liked the sound of being 'Tess'. She seemed like a bully.

Regan blinked and tilted her head to the side as Tses appeared to be utterly confused. She raised her brow and looked at Tses with a firm stare. “You’re kidding? Are you on ‘the drugs’?” Regan asked with utter confusion in her voice. Her brow was still slightly furrowed as she spoke. “Seriously what are you doing here, you hate us ‘mansionnites’. You know with our good will and rule following.”
Regan studied Tses and instead of her usual guarded and ready to fight posture, she looked like she had seen a ghost. There was something very different about Tses. Either she was high on something or something had happened to her. Or worse, she was playing head games in order to get into the mansion grounds and cause some trouble. Either way it went, Regan was on her guard and watched Tses closely. If she needed help, she would help her, that was just the way Regan was.
Tses blinked at the girl's question, and she reached down the grass, and held up a small paper bag with a doctors label on it. "The doctors gave me these for my headache and my arm." She said, and looked down at the ground, toeing it with her shoe. "Don't know if that's what you mean though... They just told me to come here. I'm sorry if I shouldn't have, but we didn't know what else to do." Tses was regretting listening to those dumb doctors. They seemed all grumpy when she talked with them, and they made her arm sting, and even though they bandaged up her arms and her legs where they were skinned, they hadn't seemed too happy about it. She looked at her jeans, and the frayed jeans still had little blood stains on them. She wished she could change. She wished she knew where to get clothes to change into.
As the cat-woman spoke, Tses felt tears prick her eyes. She had obviously been taken to the wrong place. 'Tess' didn't seem to like the people here, and they didn't seem to like her. This was a bad idea. She hugged her broken wrist to her side and didn't look back up. "Sorry. I just.... they knew mutants were here and thought someone would remember me... I can go back and try somewhere else. If there is somewhere else. I..." Her lip started to shake and she sank back to the grass, burying her face into her bandaged legs and the smell of iron from dried blood filling her nose. Salty tears ran into her mouth as she murmured into the fabric. "I don't know what's going on, and I don't know what to do, and I hurt, and my head is fuzzy, and I have a headache and I just don't know what to do." She said. It felt undignified, but she was exhausted and in pain, and frightened by her lack of remembering.

Regan watched as Tses picked up the paper bag and showed it to her. She mentioned a doctor and some injuries. Something must have happened to Tses and landed her in the hospital. That would explain the smell of the medical grade cleaners that Regan kept smelling. Listening to Tses story, Regan sighed and shook her head. What the heck had happened to her?
As Tses started crying and her thoughts jumped all over the place, Regan opened up the gates and came out to sit on the grass next to Tses. She placed a comforting arm around her and pulled her close. “Shhhh, Tses, shhhhhh. It’s ok, you came to the right place. I know who you are, well who you were anyways, and I told you then that I would help you if you needed it.” Regan sighed again, she couldn’t believe she was going to do this, but she was. Something was wrong with Tses and right now Regan was the only person she had. “My name is Regan. You are Tses. This is the mansion where mutants come to live and learn. How about we go inside? I think I have some clothes that you can borrow. We can get you cleaned up, get you something to eat, and get some of those medications into you so you can start feeling better.” Regan wasn’t about to mention to Tses how much Tses hated her and for reason she didn’t really know. Best to leave that part out until she could get Tses back on her feet and her head on straight, maybe Tses would even appreciate all this once her mind was her own again.
The woman's touch felt fuzzy, but in a nice way. Almost like a cat brushing up against her, but still human. Her fur was soft, almost softer than a cats, and it seemed to match her voice and the melodic nature. That human element showed through in the hug, and she relaxed into the her touch. Regan. The girl's name was Regan, and she was Tses.
Sniffling, she brushed her tears from her eyes, and sniffled away the last bits of moisture. She got to her feet, and rubbed a fist against her eyes, feeling exhausted but relieved. "Ok... Thanks Regan." She whispered, and gave a little smile. "I am kinda hungry. I... I don't know what food I like though. Maybe I'll like something you do." She said warmly.

Regan smiled as Tses got up and looked slightly relieved. She walked with her through the gates and towards the front doors of the mansion. “Maybe you will, but even if you don’t, the kitchen here is stocked with pretty much everything that is edible. We are bound to find something that you’ll like.” She opened the door the mansion and let Tses walk in first and take in the majesty that was the mansion’s foyer.
After giving Tses a few minutes to adjust and take in the mansion. Regan grabbed her hand with her furry clawed one, and gently pulled her towards the stairs. “My rooms up on the second floor, I have a roommate but she’d not in right now. We can get you a change of clothes and you can freshen up in the washroom before we head down to the kitchen for a bite to eat.”
The grounds had a nice earthy smell that filled Tses' nose, and moving towards the large building relaxed her. She didn't feel as afraid now, and while her head still hurt and she felt sore, she was hopeful. Regan knew her. Regan would help. Maybe she didn't remember, but someone did. With a slight spring in her steps, she followed Regan up the stairs, being pulled along behind Regan towards the room "You sure it's ok? Think you have something I could wear? You have a tail after all and I don't really have a tail, but I don't mind, and I hope that didn't sound rude. Awe, I bet it sounded rude..." Tses blurted out into a long stream of words.
It made her head hurt again. She needed to take it easy on the talking.
"I like your fur. It's really pretty. Green is a nice color and your stripes are really cool." She said, staring with fascination at the color of the girl's fur. She smiled slightly, a rather strange expression on her normally sour face.

Regan couldn’t help but chuckle as Tses went on a little rant of words, asking questions and making statements. She shook her head as they kept walking towards her room. “You are only a little shorter than me so my clothes should fit you well enough. Not to worry about my tail, I wear clothes that fit under the base of it so there won’t be any holes in the pants.” She giggled softly, she was actually liking this Tses, she was rather cute. “It’s fine, I know you didn’t mean it in a rude manner. I’m used to people being a little curious about me and my extra appendage.” she said giving her tail a playful flick.
They were almost to her room when Tses continued to talk about how much she liked Regan’s fur. Regan turned and smiled at her, also noting the fascinated look and smile on Tses face. “Why thank you. It’s such an odd coloring, but I quite like it really. Though being a cat is something I don’t like as much. I think I would appreciate my fur a lot more if it were attached to someone else.” She chuckled softly and shrugged her shoulders. She hated what she was, always had, and most likely always would, but it was just something she’d have to accept. She may look like a monster, have a monster inside her head, but the real Regan was just a nice person wanting to help the world, and right now helping Tses was her goal.
Tses giggled as Regal flicked her tail, and was relieved she wouldn't have to worry about wearing pants with holes in them. Not that she wasn't already wearing pants with holes in them, but it seemed like it would be more awkward to have the hole on her back. As they moved, Tses wondered how she could forget such an interesting person. It felt like green stripes and red hair would stick out in her memory. She tried hard to think back, try to figure out where they had met before. But that only gave her a dizzy feeling, and she paused walking, leaning against the wall to keep from falling over. She almost put her arm out to catch herself, but then she remembered it was broken. At least she didn't forget that.
Waiting for the pain to settle, she moved after Tses, and gave a weak smile. "Sorry... Guess my brain doesn't like thinking that much. Can't force myself to remember. I just have to wait and see if it sorts itself out eventually... I hope..." She sighed, and looked at Regan with a tilt of her head. "At least you knew me, right?" She remarked.

Regan reached the room first, but as she turned to face Tses, she saw that Tses was hanging onto the wall and looking a little faint. She ran back to her and placed an arm around her waist and helped keep her upright while minding her broken arm. She hoped that she would start feeling better soon, though she hoped that she wouldn’t turn back into that mean Tses that wanted nothing more than to make a tiger skin rug out of her.
Regan smiled back softly and slowly started leading Tses back towards her room. “Hopefully it will all come back to you eventually, just have to give it time I suppose. No sense in making yourself sick or causing yourself to fall over.” She smiled and continued. “I did know you somewhat, we weren’t friends or anything like that.” She didn’t want to swamp Tses with all of the details right off the get go, but she wasn’t going to lie to her either.
Helping Tses enter the room, Regan sat her down on her bed and went over to her closet to rummage around for some clothes. She pulled out a pair of clean jeans and a T-shirt that she had tucked away. It was bright green, but it was all she had and she didn’t think Tses would want to wear a tank top. She handed them to Tses and pointed her towards the washroom. “You can change in there. There are face cloths and towels in the cabinet by the sink if you want to freshen up. Soaps are in that cabinet as well.”
With Regan's help, Tses made it into the room and she gave a little smile of thanks. Then she felt a small frown take it's place when Regan said they weren't really friends. "Yeah... you didn't seem very happy to see me outside... I just... I wish I knew why... or maybe I don't. Maybe I don't want to know who I am... doesn't really sound like that much fun." She remarked, and then she accepted the clothes being given to her.
"Thanks. If I don't come out in 30 mins, make sure I didn't pass out or something." She gave a laugh at the bad joke, then grinned and wandered into the bathroom. Once inside, she wiggled her way out of her shirt and jeans, and found one of the clothes to help clean up a little.
The doctors had cleaned around the wounds pretty well, but she still had a little bit of tried blood that had run into her boots, and she cleaned that up with the boots set to the side. It felt nice being barefoot. The boots felt awfully uncomfortable to her, although she felt like walking in them was something she did naturally. She undid the arm bands around her arms, and wiggled her fingers a little, enjoying the air on her skin. She wasn't sure why she wore those, really. The bandages around her forearms were protecting the raw skin, but the arm bands didn't seem to have a purpose. When she took them off though, she noticed her skin was dotted with lots of little white scars. For some reason, she kinda liked them. The little marks were pretty and reminded her a little of Shammy's stripes.
Pulling on the pants, they were a little baggy on her, but she could manage, and the shirt hung down a little low but wasn't bad. She was fairly slim so the clothes draped comfortably, and it helped because her side was still pretty pained. The doctors said she had broken a rib, and if she coughed up blood, she should keep an eye on it to make sure she didn't have permanent internal damage or something. they weren't going to do any serious surgery there, but the minor patching up was fine. Tses hadn't been coughing much more yet, so she thought she'd be ok.
Humming to herself, she left the bathroom and padded over to Shammy, grinning at the tiger girl. "Look! It's like I have stripes too!" She remarked, holding out her scared arms. The bandages around her forearms covered up most of the marks, but from mid arm down to her hands there were a number of longer marks that supported the statement.

Regan frowned herself as Tses spoke. She really felt so badly for her current situation. She wished that she could just make it all better. “Well I can tell you if you really want me to. But I’m not sure you will like what you hear to be honest. You are quite different now then you were when I met you the last time. But I won’t lie to you, I promise you that.” She smiled at her softly before she walked into the washroom.
Regan paced a little as she waited. Her enhanced hearing allowed her to hear Tses moving wround in the washroom. If she heard a thud, or stopped hearing movement all together she would bust down the door and see what was wrong.
Just then Tses came out of the washroom and was grinning. She showed Regan her arms. She had white scars along them that did oddly look like stripes and it made Regan smile back at Tses. She wondered what had happened to her, what had caused her scars, but asking her about them was rather pointless. “That’s pretty neat, now we just have to get you some ears and a tail and we’ll match.” Regan laughed and opened up her door to lead Tses to the kitchen. At this point Regan was starving, she didn’t know when the last time Tses had eaten so she made a point of making that their next destination.
Tses gave Regan a smile, her mouth slightly higher on one side than the other in her normal crooked grin. In many ways, she still acted like Tses. Her movements were still catlike and agile, her footsteps light and with a small prance to them, her actions quick and pointed. But then there was something else; her natural curiosity had a different form of caution to it, her movements weren't quite so reckless, her personality lacking confidence. The feline type grace she had was not accompanied by the same sure of herself attitude. She didn't have the memories that gave her that bold nature. The lost look in her eyes from their last encounter was there, but transformed now. She had felt confused, uncertain of who she was because her morals were changing. Now she just felt confused about who she was in general. The lost little will-o-wisp had just turned into a lost ghost with no memories to guide her.
But, she smiled. She laughed. It was like loosing her memories had freed her from that pain that had haunted her. It was sad, in a way. This 'tragedy' was the nicest thing that happened to her. Sure, she was in pain, and it was obvious she'd been beat up fairly badly with bruises starting to form on the skin that was visible, including areas on her throat. But that physical pain didn't match the emotional pain she had been carrying. as she scurried after Regan to the kitchen, she laughed.
"I think the tail would be fun. All I do is glow... at least, that's all I know I do. I haven't really been able to control it, it just seems to happen." Tses muttered, looking down at her hands. There was a small flicker of green energy, but it didn't seem to form right now. Little did she know, it was already the New Moon, and that meant her powers were mostly hibernating now.
