The X-men run missions and work together with the NYPD, striving to maintain a peaceful balance between humans and mutants. When it comes to a fight, they won't back down from protecting those who need their help.
Haven presents itself as a humanitarian organization for activists, leaders, and high society, yet mutants are the secret leaders working to protect and serve their kind. Behind the scenes they bring their goals into reality.
From the time when mutants became known to the world, SUPER was founded as a black-ops division of the CIA in an attempt to classify, observe, and learn more about this new and rising threat.
The Syndicate works to help bring mutantkind to the forefront of the world. They work from the shadows, a beacon of hope for mutants, but a bane to mankind. With their guiding hand, humanity will finally find extinction.
Since the existence of mutants was first revealed in the nineties, the world has become a changed place. Whether they're genetic misfits or the next stage in humanity's evolution, there's no denying their growing numbers, especially in hubs like New York City. The NYPD has a division devoted to mutant related crimes. Super-powered vigilantes help to maintain the peace. Those who style themselves as Homo Superior work to tear society apart for rebuilding in their own image.

Lady Natalie Bennet wandered through the door and into the Foyer. It was rather pretty; she had lived in a building that looked like this, once. When her family had still accepted her. She shook her head, driving these thoughts out of her head. They wouldn't help her here, at this strange place.
She would need all her wits about her. Joining a group of evil was always a tricky thing. They could turn on her in a second, if they sensed any weakness. Putting her cold mask into place, she looked around for someone to help her find out where to go. She saw a chair, and she went and sat down, waiting for someone to appear.
After speaking with Lisa briefly Syn turned and saw another woman sitting in one of the chairs in the main entrance. The girl tilted her head in a curious manner as she looked the woman over. Straightening up she walked over to the guest.
"Are you seeking a place to stay here in Sanctuary? My name is Syn and currently I'm in charge around here."

Kaz walked in through the large golden doors, two large containers resting on his shoulders. Though only in his normal form, he has more strength than many above average men put together. "In charge is just a point of view Syn." Kaz said with a smirk. His words were ment in jest not to poke buttons and his tone convayed the meaning. He looked at the chick sitting down. "Welcome." A couple of boys came the stairs from below, they looked to be in their older teen years and well built. "Hey, you two." The boys looked at Kaz curiously. "Yes?" One of them asked. "Before you head out, could you bring these containers to the Kid's Wing downstairs?" The boys looked at eachother then shrugged. "Sure." The second boy responded. "Thanks guys."
As each of the boys came forward, he handed one container to each of them. "Careful not to hurt yourselves. Use the elevator if you need to." They grunted under the weight and headed off.
Kaz looked at the girl on the bench. "So what brings you here?"

(OOC: Hope y'all don't mind us barging in. )
The giant golden doors blew open, sending a loud BOOOM!! echoing across the foyer. An unusually rough-looking red-headed pair walked in, practically radiating anger.
The girls were in a foul mood, to put it mildly. Two battles interrupted or lost, and they were in rough shape as a result. Usually vain about their looks, their state of current appearance showed the beating they’d taken. Plus they weren’t used to pain, so they weren’t handling their injuries well, either. Amp was limping slightly, and Vibe was craddling her right arm. Bruises were beginning to show in various areas on their bodies. On top of everything else, the stress of battle had caused their blood sugar levels to drop, and both girls were starting to feel dizzy and listless.
They headed shakily toward the hidden stairs, and the infirmary, paying no attention to Office Barbie or the others gathered by her desk.
Syn looked at the twin girls as they walked by. They looked like hell. She had never seen them before so she decided to speak up. "What happened to you two? Are you new here?"

Kaz looked at the twins as they came through they door. He knew they liked to get into misjiff, but their current state seemed much farther than just a few pranks gone wrong. He looked to Syn, "Don't worry too much about them. They're capable gals. I told them about Sanc not too long ago, shortly after they started living here. They're a couple of pranksters, Amp and Vibe. Looks like the pranks got out of hand though." He watched as the girls went down the stairs. "I'll go check on them later. No worries."

Just before the girls disappeared down the stairs, Lisa's computer monitor began to spark and smoke. Abruptly the screen shattered. Twin glares were sent in the groups direction. Then they were gone.

Kaz watched as the computer monitor broke as the twins walked past. Sighing, Kaz put his fingers to his lips and blew. An extremely high pitched whistle that no one could hear except himself and Vibe. Not only was it high pitched, but it was loud, strong and piercing. "Chill out you two!"
Vibe cringed, her ears ringing. Mentally she let loose a few colorful curses at Kaz. Amp looked at her, then yelled back at him, "Go bury yourself in a sewer, ya jerk!" Friends or not, he'd managed to catch them at their worst.
They were both too tired to do more than yell, and even that little bit hurt.
"I think I'd like to have a word with those two." Syn turned to kaz and the woman. "Kaz I'm sure you can inform our new arrival of the facilities here. If you need any help then have Lisa page for me." With that Syn headed off to find the twin girls.

Natalie realized that she had been staring off into space while being spoken to...how rude. She turned to the woman, Syn, who had spoken to her, but she was walking away. What would she do? "Ms. Syn?" she called. If she didn't come back, she had no idea what she was going to do!
Syn heard her name and gestured that she would be back.
Once her business was done with the twins Syn walked back to the front desk to see if that new woman was still there. To the girl's surprise she was. "You know my name but I don't know yours." She looked the female over as she tried to guess what her powers might be if she had any.

She blushed. Even though she wasn't speaking with her parents anymore, they had ingrained her with a sense of courtesy. "I'm sorry; my name is Lady Natalie Bennet. I'm just new here to town, and I really don't know how things work around here yet. Could you help me? I really don't have anywhere to stay...no family that will accept me," she muttered. That still stung that her own family did not support her, even though they had raised her...her own mother had turned away from her. Pushing down those feelings, she took a deep breath. Emotion would not help her now, she thought.
"My powers are minimal for now, simply the ability to manipulate the weather. I am only capable of manipulating lightning and wind, enabling me to fly. It's one of the things I really enjoy about my powers. That and being able to shoot lightning at whoever makes me angry." Realizing that sounded sort of childish, she continued, "well, only if they really deserve it...I mean, you can't go around shocking everyone, can you? So, what is this place, anyways?"
"Welcome to Sanctuary Natalie. Your powers sound intriguing. Perhaps with time and effort you'll be able to do much more than control wind and lightning." She looked at the woman a little curious. "How is it you know my name anyways?"

"Well, even though I had been daydreaming, I must've remembered your name when you introduced yourself earlier. Usually, I pay a little closer attention, but I'm a little tired right now. I've been traveling a long way. I had traveled to Asia, in search of a singularly unique piece of jewelry. I was unable to find it, and now I have returned. I have no place to go." Natalie stretched and stood up. "Do you have a place I can crash? I'm rather tired."
