The X-men run missions and work together with the NYPD, striving to maintain a peaceful balance between humans and mutants. When it comes to a fight, they won't back down from protecting those who need their help.
Haven presents itself as a humanitarian organization for activists, leaders, and high society, yet mutants are the secret leaders working to protect and serve their kind. Behind the scenes they bring their goals into reality.
From the time when mutants became known to the world, SUPER was founded as a black-ops division of the CIA in an attempt to classify, observe, and learn more about this new and rising threat.
The Syndicate works to help bring mutantkind to the forefront of the world. They work from the shadows, a beacon of hope for mutants, but a bane to mankind. With their guiding hand, humanity will finally find extinction.
Since the existence of mutants was first revealed in the nineties, the world has become a changed place. Whether they're genetic misfits or the next stage in humanity's evolution, there's no denying their growing numbers, especially in hubs like New York City. The NYPD has a division devoted to mutant related crimes. Super-powered vigilantes help to maintain the peace. Those who style themselves as Homo Superior work to tear society apart for rebuilding in their own image.

The limo pulled up outside the lab and Sabrina stepped out. Walking straight past the guards she went inside and lead Jebidiah to a waiting room. “My employer will be here shortly.” She said before turning to go.
After she was out of sight she asked a guard where Hunter was and went straight to James’ lab. “Hunter, I have Jebidiah waiting for you upstairs.” Turning away from James’ latest experiment Hunter smiled.
“I knew I could count on you. That’s two Kabal members that you’ve brought in now.” Hunter headed out of the door and towards the waiting room to meet Jebidiah. It had been almost thirty years since he’d last seen him, he wondered if he would remember him?
OOC: Jeb, I'm sorry that I can't be with Hunter to meet you. Maybe Hunter will send you to pick me up when I cause a little trouble. Anyways, can't wait to meet you and shake your hand

As the man Jebidiah assumed to be The Employer approached, Jebidiah raised an eyebrow slightly. Have i met this man before? He looks.... vaguely familiar. No, he couldn't have met him he decided. Nobody he had met recently looked liked this man. Jeb gave him a blank look as he approached, hazel eyes staring into those of the hunter, waiting for him to speak.
Jebidiah had aged, which was not unexpected, but those eyes were the same he had seen years ago. He walked over to him and took a seat opposite him. “Greetings Jebidiah, My name is Hunter Antonescu, and I am the one who requested you be brought here. I have recently formed a team of mutants code named the Kabal, and wish for you to become another member of this group.”
“Currently three members are out doing reconnaissance of groups who may oppose me in the future, but one of them is here in the lab. Your addition to the team would bring a strong combatant for when someone takes strong objection to my work.”
“In return I am willing to give you whatever it is you seek in life, be that money, or something more lucrative. If you serve me loyally and faithfully then I will do everything in my power to help you. So, are you interested?” Hunter assumed he was, seeing as he was here. If he was Hunter had a specialised piece of equipment to show him.

Well he might as well give it a shot. He still had basically no idea what the group was about other then that he would be an errand boy. Well for the lifestyle he is offering me, why not? I could use a little work out anyway...
"Well I wouldn't be here otherwise would I? To start off, how about a place to stay? I haven't got that quite figured out yet. My stuff is currently in a hotel, but we can worry about that later. And is this going to be our headquarters? A tour would be nice if so. I like to know my workplace...and on that note, what exactly is your goal? Why have you hired us as a team?"
“The team’s overall objective is furthering my goals, which will remain secret for the time being. Our current objective is gathering intelligence on those who may seek to oppose us. For accommodation, I already have an apartment in New York set aside for you if you want it.”
Hunter paused for a moment considering whether or not Mondragon labs would be a suitable base of operations. He saw no reason why not, the control rooms here allowed him to see the others in the field, and the equipment that they used was being designed and built here.
“Yes, we are based out of this facility. While there are areas that are off limit’s due to the research going on, the majority is open for use, including an open area where I tested the other team members. Would you be opposed to a little test of your abilities?”
Rather than wait for an answer Hunter headed towards the testing chamber, telling a worker to go and prepare things.

Jeb silently followed The Employer. What kind of test did he have in mind?
Jebidiah wondered about all of this. Where did all the money come from? How is it possible that he could foresee him joining? "Yes, I would be happy to take the apartment." Best not to ask for too much before i have done anything... but if I can have anything I desire, why not something a little more luxurious then an apartment?
What if this is all some sort of set up? I have made enemies... and this is all so strange...
Hunter stepped into the training chamber which had been cleared of the equipment that was used in the other’s tests. Instead all that was there was a table with a sword on it. This was Hunter’s pride and joy, a sword made for him over two hundred and fifty years ago. He had kept it in immaculate condition, and had it modified by James.
Now, at the push of a button, the blade is sheathed in a strong, but short ranged magnetic repulsion field. No metal can come within an inch of the blade while it is active. With his enhanced reflexes he can deflect bullets with it, and will stop Jebidiah slicing through his sword like he had the thug’s gun.
Picking up the ornate blade he turned to face Jebidiah. “You’re a skilled swordsman, but the only way to truly test your abilities is to test them myself. So I propose a duel, first blood wins.” He activated the field and took a ready stance.

As The Employer challenged him, a malicious grin reached the corners of Jebidiah's mouth. He wants a sword fight? He must be joking. He must not know my abilities as well as he thinks. He dropped his cloak where he stood, revealing jeans a and a T-shirt. He pulled his blade from his scabbard, a metallic ring filling the air.
Jebidiah stretched each shoulder individually while clenching and unclenching his fists, loosening and tightening his grip with his right hand on his sword.
His looked down at the ground... and started to chuckle. "Heh heh heh." While looking back up his eyes were a painfully bright blue and his left hand suddenly unclenched with a burst of blue flame, colder then any dry ice. He spread his legs and raised his sword with both hands, flame dancing along the already shimmering blue blade to his other hand, taking the stance that decades of practice had taught him worked best.
Hunter almost laughed out loud when he was referred to as “boy”. He had four centuries of sword fighting under his belt to this mans four decades. Smiling Hunter swung an obvious attack that Jebidiah effortlessly blocked.
However, there was no ringing of steel, at the blades never connected. Instead the repulsion field kept them separate. “You’re not the only one with a fancy sword,” He pulled back and took a deliberately flawed defensive stance, leaving a small opening for Jebidiah to try.
No human would have the reflexes to stop an attack at that point, but Hunter wasn’t human. Smiling tauntingly at his opponent he readied himself.

He cannot be serious, can he? He is obviously a flawed swordsman. Now, look at that stance... i can strike from plenty of different angles... He better be prepared to parry because...
Jebidiah lunged forward, aiming directly for his chest, using both hands on his blade. Surprisingly The Employer did parry. With an inhumanly quick flick of his wrist The Employer had successfully knocked his blade to his side, turning his body slightly to the right, despite the strength that he had put behind the attack. With speed that may have even surprised The Hunter Jebidiah continued his turn all the way around, dropping down low and letting go of his right hand to increase distance, he swung for the shins of The Employer...
Rather than blocking or stepping back from the low strike Hunter did something Jebidiah would not expect. Launching himself into the air he flipped right over Jebidiah, landing in a crouch.
From there he whirled around to opponent, swinging his sword diagonally upwards. Jebidiah was a good swordsman, and clearly knew what he was doing, but Hunter’s edge in ability and experience was telling.

Wow his is quick That was all he had time to think of as he turned around and saw the blade coming. A blur, that was all he saw, yet he still managed to block by pure instinct. A sword coming from below, diagonally upwards would best best be stopped (from his position) by a quicker blade coming up beneath it hard, hopefully dislodging it. However Jebidiah was not given enough time to do would be best. While still low to ground, he did what instinct demanded, he thrusted his blade in front of him... at a horribly weak angle. As his steel was hit by the magnetic field, it was very nearly dislodged from his hand, but instead was sent upwards, pullling his body with it to a standing position and an outstreched arm, leaving him in a vunerable position.
However, instead of trying to pull the blade back down, which would give The Employer enough time to strike he assumed, because of his quickness, he brought up his right hand from his side while unclenching it palm up. This caused a flickering blue ball of flame to emerge heading in the direction of the hunter.
Hunter grinned and was half way to striking out when Jebidiah unleashed his blue fire. Bending backwards to avoid the flame he put his free hand too the floor and pushing off with his legs flipped over onto his feet after the fire had passed. As soon as his feet hit the floor he was moving again.
Driving forward he swung his sword in a powerful horizontal slash, putting a lot of his strength behind it. He didn’t want to give Jebidiah the chance to start hurling blue fire at him, so kept pressing the attack.

He is relentless!
Jebidiah had barely enough time to bring his sword back down to a decent fighting position by the time The Employer was back on his feet, striking. The move itself wasn 't unexpected: The power was. Jebidiah did not take The Employer full on, blade to blade; if he had done so, it would have been finished.
Instead he had tried to parry The Employer by knocking his blade to the side and bringing his leg up to kick his kneecap, if he had been turned by the move. However, he had not been expecting the power behind the attack and was completely thrown off balance. He successfully parried the attack but was knocked backwards so hard he took 4 steps just trying to maintain balance, leaving the next move up to The Employer
