The X-men run missions and work together with the NYPD, striving to maintain a peaceful balance between humans and mutants. When it comes to a fight, they won't back down from protecting those who need their help.
Haven presents itself as a humanitarian organization for activists, leaders, and high society, yet mutants are the secret leaders working to protect and serve their kind. Behind the scenes they bring their goals into reality.
From the time when mutants became known to the world, SUPER was founded as a black-ops division of the CIA in an attempt to classify, observe, and learn more about this new and rising threat.
The Syndicate works to help bring mutantkind to the forefront of the world. They work from the shadows, a beacon of hope for mutants, but a bane to mankind. With their guiding hand, humanity will finally find extinction.
Since the existence of mutants was first revealed in the nineties, the world has become a changed place. Whether they're genetic misfits or the next stage in humanity's evolution, there's no denying their growing numbers, especially in hubs like New York City. The NYPD has a division devoted to mutant related crimes. Super-powered vigilantes help to maintain the peace. Those who style themselves as Homo Superior work to tear society apart for rebuilding in their own image.

"I wanted to take you into the Adirondack mountains, see the contrast of the world relatively unaffected by the mortals and then after we have taken in the peace, the quiet, the serenity of two supreme beings in a world untouched. We shall return back to the world of men and bathe in the sensation of the chaos their nightlife produces."
He weaved in and out of traffic like a needle through a fine seem. expertly timing every move, He finally came to a smaller road and took the winding road up into the mountains and the glass house there. It over looked one of the finest scenes he could imagine.
"I wouldn't say its a surprise so much as a treat for us."
They climbed the curved road up the mountain side and came to their destination. the perch seemed to over look the whole of the natural world countless conifers spread below them like blades of grass finally splitting to surround an expanse of water and framed with mountains.
"We have the cabin as long as you like, We can return here every night from now til forever if it pleases you. I thought that a night free of anyone else might please. before we delve into visiting the mortal masses."
"As soon as you wish we can return to the city and take in the night life. Clubs, bars, theater During the day we can take in the culture, museums, galleries, shopping."
Jupiter was easy lead to the bed room and more than happy to play the innocent, He was happy to hold the woman he had missed for what seemed like millennia. He slept quietly, occasionally drawing Xavia back in, waking up and covering her and dozing back off.
His eyes popped open as he noted the spot that should have been occupied by his dryad was now empty, he scanned the room with his eyes, finally falling on her at the window, quiet sadness seemed to emanate from her. it could have been that she was simply tired and concentrating. Her eyes moved to his.
The librarian looked somewhere caught between shock and disbelief, the word like wasn’t fitting and he certainly did much more than like her, but what if Venus had said he didn’t like her to his… daughter? Mars smirked at the woman, mocking, slightly hostile. He was going to add that she was looking for another tall, red and handsome man, but the still present confusion was so very amusing.
“ Actually, if it is anyone’s business, it is her business.” Mars said and looked down to the books he collected. “ Surely as a literary, you have some eye for detail. Think about it and deduce what doesn’t add up.”
He looked to Kaitlyn with an absolute look of amusement at the further confusion that compacted upon the woman’s face. You would have thought she was pondering the meaning of life or been answering a question of great importance.
“Come away dear, I think we have broken her.” Like a sunrise on the horizon an idea dawned on the woman’s face. She pulled out her cell phone dialed a number from memory no less and called. As Mars attempted to lead Kaitlyn away, The librarian could be heard exclaiming, that Venus was never going to believe this but there was someone that looked exactly like him in the library.
At the table Mars proper open the books to pages of information that Kaitlyn might find useful and made a quiet offer to read them to her. He had a feeling he was going to be carrying out a peacefully sleeping girl out of the library. Whether from the knowledge they gleamed, the safety of his arms or the now peaceful environment the den of knowledge presented.
Venus’s eyes widened slightly as she nodded, She was planning on taking advantage of him? He wouldn’t have guessed it, but he would let the woman spring her trap on him if she liked. He wasn’t one to resist after all. He wondered at what marvelous things were going in that head of hers that were managing to get such a lovely shade upon her cheeks. He might just have to give her the chance in the some secluded spot.
“An art garden?” That might just be the perfect place to let her come out of her shell, if she wanted to. “ I’m not familiar with it but if we ask enough people someone is bound to know, if we wanted to try for it today after the Mall.” The red man lured her into a position that she might find more accommodating to her subconscious admissions. And if it was Venus’s imagination getting the better of him, they could still have a very fun day regardless.
“Oh Sweet Mahadevi, I do not know that the world will ever be ready to behold you beauty. However It will certainly be better for it.” Venus bowed his head to the young goddess and gave her a spin around the room.
Venus walked with the woman through the temple halls, the temple workers had already cleared the hall, much to the relief of Venus, he wouldn’t have to lift the woman out of any worshippers reaching hands, that begged blessings. He walked her out to a small parking lot reserved for the staff and opened the passenger door to the bugatti Veryron it was the most expensive car in the world, only fitting for a god and a goddess. He loved the car for one its best features. He actually felt like he had space in the sports car and not that he was being stuffed inside.
If Adarsh was sending guards after them he hoped they could fly. Venus pulled onto the road and cruised in the city streets until he found an open strip on the outskirts of the city far enough that traffic wasn’t an issue and opened up the ridiculous power of the sports car. The car flew up interstate 87 and toward the Adirondack mountains, his brothers and he considered laying waste to them when they thought Syn was dead and stopped themselves upon seeing them.
There was a beautiful little bed and breakfast near the vanderwhacker mountain wild forest. It would do for a good stop if she decided that she didn’t want to be in the wilderness its self. He thought that if she hadn’t seen the city, then it wasn’t likely that she had experienced much of the natural world either. at an easy pace of a hundred miles per hour they would be there in a couple of hours. and back in time, when they wanted to be they could certainly be back in the city that night when things truly got interesting.
School started, on top of that I hadn't personally had this thread bookmarked so i lost track of it. I am still interested and now have the thread book marked if you'd like to continue. Don't get too discouraged, if you are running a mass plot sometimes it takes some work to keep it moving in the right direction and people herding. Look at the AoS plot, absolutely everyone was psyched for it and one of the first threads to start still hasn't concluded or had much happen in it. town vs. Amazons.
Chin up Rook.
At this point you need some goodies to step in with questions about the connections in the trial after that our hooded npc baddies would need to step in to do the fire bombing.
Jupiter nodded blearily to the waitress as she looked at him to offer another drink, He was pretty sure at this point they were counting on getting him drunk enough to pass out so he didn’t cause trouble.
He kept his mouth closed as he listened to Calley and was slightly perplexed. Not only was he possibly considering visiting with someone, that plain as day said they didn’t want to be caught with them in public, but it was his father.
“For the record I would be just as happy turning all the little humans into mutants. But death would suffice. If you pointed your family out and said they should be spared I wouldn’t mind in the least. Why you would spare a man that won’t even be seen with you in public in a place he might be recognized and even then you can’t be yourself. I can’t fathom. He passed you those genes, or he helped your mother do so. He should be proud of you. He should be supporting you. Has he even met slate? Doubt it. if more mutants are asses than humans are, ask how that came to pass and you’d see the answer quick and easy. The Humans make us that way. You say ninety percent don’t care? Try wearing the x gene on the outside of your skin every day, tell me it wouldn’t change that percentage. You think there is one human in the city that doesn’t care when they see me walking down the road?” the look on his face said there wasn’t, a calm shake of his head confirmed the look.
“Do you honestly think they wouldn’t wipe us out if they got the chance? We would all still be in shock collars or worse if we weren’t stronger than they are. Raped, beaten, killed, starved, all under an act of the government. Land of the free, Home of the brave. My ass.”
“Hell, If we could weed out the hateful ones and make some mutant human utopia, that’d be fine too. Recently, Mutant kids have been disappearing. Not one has been found and returned to the parents in the last eight months. You know how many human kids they find? Half.” He could tell Calley the real numbers if he was sober, but those numbers were far away right now….those numbers were close enough.
Jupiter’s brows furrowed as he stared at the new pitcher. “Sorry Calley, you are right. I would kill your family and have a hard time feeling bad about it.” He took a swig. “You’re right. Its not cool.” He felt bad that he wouldn’t feel bad.
He glanced at the pitcher. “I don’t know who is winning..”
Abyss grinned as the boy turned a phrase he hadn’t heard into the worst curse word he had. You could make any word a swear with the right inflection. He smirked as the boy turned phrase after phrase, He wasn’t sure where he learned to talk but he had a mouth on him.
“I’ve never had the problem, I always took what I wanted at the source and skipped paying altogether, bat least back when I stole.” He shrugged with a smirk on his face. “ You take enough and then reinvest it and you won’t have to steal again.”
He nodded to the logic. “ I recommend next time keeping those attributes and applying to an older gentleman on wall street, plenty of that type down there, and they wouldn’t be able to throw cars at you as you flew away.”
“As for permission and forgiveness, I would and will help you out more than the contents of my wallet would. Are you pocketing for survival or pleasure?” he then nodded back toward the street. “ come on I was just abot to grab something to eat.”
Abyss shot back as he was likened to Lucifer “Hmmm, A devil shows mercy to the angel who steals from him, something is mixed up in this tale, but have it your way.”
Abyss chuckled quietly at the young man’s observation and recantation. “And you have wings. Now then, I was going to simply introduce you to the sanctuary, They take in strays of our kind, but if you have certain talents and a taste for the morally grey, Well, it goes further than a simple homeless shelter. ”
He looked to be sure he had his attention before he continued. “ We take a bit of a firmer stance on what freedoms mutants should have and do have. Sometimes we go about ensuring those rights in the legal channels, more often than not however we take the other route.” He paused there to see if the wild mouthed teen would be interested in something bigger than pick pocketing the most dangerous person on the street.
Large red arms wrapped around the petite frame and his chin rested on the top of her head. He simply sat there and enjoyed one of life’s simplest pleasures, holding the woman you cared about in your arms. He had thought she was lost to him but here she was out of the blue. He still wasn’t completely sure he wouldn’t be waking up any moment now wondering at where she was.
He relaxed his embrace a little bit and let himself take in her presence, trying to memorize every little detail of her. As did so he began to quietly doze off the warmth and happiness of her plus the previous evening’s events had him worn out and absolutely content.
Mercury paced along and found himself off the beaten path, he hadn’t really been on this particular trail before. But liked the shade and peace, if you could tune out the traffic and ever present noise of the city you could almost imagine you were in some peaceful meadow or forest….with an animal digging through a trashcan in the middle of it.
He had reached in and grabbed a stray cat once in hopes of catching a raccoon of his very own but it was just a mean tom cat that didn’t care how big or strong he was, at least until he launch the thing into the air after it scratched him, it probably cared once it was flying. But they say cats land on their feet, so he was probably ok.
Mercury creeped closer to the trashcan to get a better look at what little creature was making such a big mess, and his eyes widened as he saw a little green foot sticking out of the trash. Mercury watch curiously for a moment dodging a piece of trash here or there and then tired of waiting for the little green guy to come up for air.
He reached in and snatched the foot raising the little monster to eye level, thought the little green man was upside down. He grinned in a friendly manner and asked. “What cha doin?”
Venus looked down at Adarsh, Speaking in soft tones ensuring the man he would not let her out of his sight and keep her safe. Adaarsh bowed politely and thanked Kamadeva again for his reassurances. It was unheard of to not protect the goddess, but what were they to do when she said she required no more protection than the large red god. Someone in this place was a fantastic seamstress as he was presented with an outfit to match Mahadevi’s, his was white with turquoise accents.
He walked into Mahadevi’s chamber and sat cross legged waiting patiently as she prepared, he wasn’t sure how long the woman would take as some were notorious for taking their sweet time. From what he had seen thus far, she looked fantastic and she was going to walk through the world simply and modestly adorned. He appreciated her as she appreciated herself.
He nodded quietly it was an interesting concept, caring for ones parents, he had gone off the assumption that most parents were rotten, the majority that ended up at the sanctuary certainly hadn’t received the ideal bunch to raise them..” I am glad your mother and sister have each other. “And I am glad for my nonsensical escape then. I’ll have to thank the rhino sometime.”
His tail snuck over as if without his permission and tickled at her tiny, lovely ankle. “No matter the letter or the confusion or the antics that it took me to commit to get us here, it is of little concern so long as it brought us here. I missed you as well. I haven’t pursued anyone else.” The last he said quietly, almost embarrassed by the confession of loyalty. “ It is sill to say you didn’t know if it was what I wanted, no matter the situation, I would have wanted to know you were alive and well., safe and sound.” He sipped at the water.
"So?" kissing was easier than talking. Conversations took concentration and women were emotionally taxing. She was tiring him out. It wasn't that he was annoyed. Jupiter was simply used to being able to physically conquer things that frustrated you. Like life and problems. This was out of his comfort zone, he couldn't smmash the fact, that time had torn them apart and they had to get reacquainted. if he could!
Jupiter barely stopped himself from doing a spit take. swallowing the beer in his mouth and let out a small cough. “We made the news did we?” The camera man must have done the smart thing and stayed the heck out of the way. “Did I not mention, meeting a friend for drinks recently and things getting slightly out of hand?” he couldn’t help but chuckle at what he could remember of that particular night.
He nodded solemnly. ‘She’s Mean for the most part, tough as nails and she went through something similar to what you did I’d imagine. I can’t see her appreciating my mentioning it but.” He shrugged slightly. “ She can be fun, but I think she is still settling in for the most part, she found an old flame and seems to be better off for it. so that’s good. She’s a little thing, but fiery.”
Jupiter stood and took their empties to the kitchen setting them in the recycling. It was a question of manners; he felt at home here and behaved thusly. He grabbed a pair of water bottles from the fridge and returned. Setting the water in front of her. ‘how about you Xavia, do you have any siblings running around?”
He smiled guiltily, if this was selfishness, he wondered what a selfless Xavia was like. He was happy to catch up with her on all levels. It wasn’t simply about her delicious lips. Or teaching her to be dangerous. “ I won’t pretend I’ve changed much.” he paused.
“My sister disappeared and has been returned to us as well as a couple nieces. There is a Russian mafia trying to move in on our territory. They’ve left it in my hands to make that difficult. I’ve started bouncing at a bar called the shadows light. For the most part, it has been mostly status quo. ” He failed to mention riding a rhino late into the night, simply because in his life that wasn’t too fantastical to find absurd.
He looked to her feeling stagnate as if he had simply been watching the world go by for the last year or two. And that had been just what he’d done.
Jupiter nodded and answered with a simple. “Done.” She would be a damn dangerous woman by the time he was finished. He was the only one of his brothers to embrace the art of war, the art of violence. For the rest of them their strength was enough, but what if they happened to cross someone that was as strong as they were. Or someone invincible or a plethora of other things that could happen, no, he started how to hurt people effectively, in ways that someone as gentle as Xavia could render a man to wish he were dead. But that could wait.
For now, her sweet supple lips were moving towards his, and he wouldn’t have it any other way. The flavor of imported beer on soft lips was a wonderful thing to behold. This was a good way to get reacquainted.
