Continued from: "First steps to a new life"


While Mandain was walking around the city he reached Time Square, people made more fuss about it then it really was, it wasn't that impressive, Mandain looked around Town Square, not to many people where there, an old pair, some street performers, and himself. Mandain was glad he had meet some people already in this new city, the city of bright lights, casino's, 18+ clubs you name it. He was glad to be outside the mansion where he just came from, meeting some new people is nice, but Mandain needed some time for himself. Mandain looked up to wards the clouds, he was beginning to sink in his thoughts. "It would be nice to be up there, lying down in the clouds, being fr..... His thoughts were interrupted by a brown old man,

"May i clean your shoes, you cant have a laugh on your face without clean shinning shoes" The man kindly looked at Mandain with his cleaning gear around his waist.

"No thanks, but here is some change for you," Mandain reached for his wallet and gave the man 10 dollars, normally he wouldn't have cared, but since he met Ali he had been different, leaning to wards being a good man. Mandain liked that side of him, but being dark and mysterious had also some advantages"

(OOC: Not sure about the 'dark and mysterious' side, but how 'bout the 'spoiled rotten' side? Let me know if you already have something else planned.

”Hmm... looks like someone’s got change to spare.”

A pair of identical faces grinned at the scene. Amp and Vibe were leaning against a nearby wall. From their position they couldn’t see that the man had yellow eyes, or perhaps they would have been a bit more discreet. Not likely, but perhaps.

Vibe, her hands behind her, began tapping slightly on the wall. There was no sound, at least not that a human could hear. Then she and her sister pushed off and walked away, turning a corner, identical smirks playing on their faces. As the beggar turned to walk away, gleeful in his aquisition, a little brown bat left its perch under a nearby window sill and swooped down. It screeched a bit, and fluttered around his head. The man began flapping his arms and shouting; like most people he assumed it was a vampire bat out to bite him. Instead the little creature snapped up the crinkled bill and flew off and around the corner.

Amp held out her hand, and the little bat landed, making soft squeaking noises. She rubbed its head, and took the bill, handing it to Vibe, who pocketed the money. ”Good boy Echo,” she cooed, and placed the creature on her shoulder. It crawled down and snuggled into her shirt pocket.

Confident they hadn’t been seen, they continued on.

(occ, i don't really have an idea what needs happen, let's just write and see what comes out)

Mandain saw the man who some seconds ago asked him if he would like his shoes polished walk away, something strange happened, the man was being bothered by a bat, Mandain couldn't see the real thread about what a bat could do to you, but the man was surely scared for the bat, Mandain wanted to walk to the guy and help him, but then the bat stole that mans 10 dollars.

"What the hell?, That ain't a normal bat", Mandain walked over to the man, "That bat stole my money, please help me"

Mandain looked at the man, but something inside of him raged up, He pushed the man aside and walked around the corner and saw two girls walking away,

"Something strange is going on here" Mandain wasn't himself, he was raged up inside, and became a thread to everything that would stand in his way. He started following the two girls.

(OOC: Sounds like a plan.

Amp glanced into the windshield of a car as they passed.

"Looks like our wealthy friend," she remarked quietly.

>Think he saw us?<

"Dunno." Amp raised an eyebrow slyly. "Shall we find out?"

>Ooo.... let's!<

In sync, the red-headed pair stopped in their tracks and turned to face their pursuer. It was at that point they noticed the yellow eyes.

"You, uh, seem lost friend. Need directions?" Amp asked innocently, watching his mouth carefully. Yellow eyes didn't mean he was a mutant, but it also didn't mean he wasn't. The girls were careful to play innocent until they knew for sure.

Mandain kept going after those two girl, he didn't know what was going to happen but it didn't matter, something was wrong about those two.

After a while the 2 girls stopped and turned around, facing Mandain, Mandain looked em in the eye's,"Hmmm, twins," Mandain checked em out," 18-19 years, slim build, 5'3 long" Mandain walked a bit closer but the twins already came with a question to wards Mandain.

"You, uh, seem lost friend. Need directions?" the twins seemed to look uneasy th the fact that Mandain had Yellow Eye's. "Lost? Hmmm, I'm not lost, but i do believe your pet has something that doesn't belong to you." Mandain had already notice the little bat hiding in her pocket.
"You gonna give it back? or do I need to come and get it" Mandain wasn't in the mood for sticking around to long.

"Lost? Hmmm, I'm not lost, but i do believe your pet has something that doesn't belong to you."

>Well, that's answers that question,< Vibe snickered silently.

"You gonna give it back? or do I need to come and get it."

In sync the girls raised one eyebrow and exchanged a mischievous smirk. Vibe pulled the ten out of her pocket and held it up, like the lure on a fishing pole. The tilted their heads.

"Come and get it," Amp replied in a sing song taunt.

The twins pulled out ten pockets,
"Come and get it," Amp replied in a sing song taunt.

"Hmmm, they are really pushing my nerve" Mandain thought it while biting on his lip. He wasn't really in a battle suit, just in his normal business suit, not that he was one, he just liked they way it looked.

"Lady's don't force me to do something you will regret for a long time, Ill give you a hint, you won't be able to move anymore for a time that I cant predict. Mandain hoped those twins just gave the 10 dollars back," I mean it is only 10 dollars, you willing to pay a high price for that"?

Mandain looked them deep into there eye's with his Yellow eye's, the look of those yellow eye's usually kicks in some fear, fear that they choose to have.

"Lady's don't force me to do something you will regret for a long time, Ill give you a hint, you won't be able to move anymore for a time that I cant predict."

"Ooo... sounds like a threat to me. Doesn't it to you Vibe?" Amp pretended to be shocked as she turned to her sister. Vibe snickered silently as she gave the man a once-over.

"I mean it is only 10 dollars, you willing to pay a high price for that?"

Amp scoffed. "Pfft! Ten buck ain't high for nothin', especially not for a show. So what do you say Bright Eyes. You gonna give us a show?"

Both girls held his gaze solidly, boring back with their own almost-neon green stare. Vibe replaced the bill in her pocket, and placed her hands on her hips, tapping her foot. Up above them, the buildings seemed to rustle, as the pigeons began figeting restlessly, responding to a sound too low for humans, and most mutants, to hear.

(OOC Hey, I asked at lady j if I could do a huge profile change to Mandain, so can this thread rest like 1-2 day's cuase if the profile change is aproved, this wil be much more intresting ^^ )

(OOC Hey, My new Profile changes got approved so we can go on ;D Maybe you have read it maybe you don't so here is a brief word about it, Mandain has an alter-ego, so that's gonna be some fun stuff to write about, Mandain doesn't know he has one but eventually he will find out, And now the story go's on ;D)

Mandain was pretty amused about that the twins were so bold to really go on for this about 10 dollars. Mandain looked up seeing the pigeons became fidgeting restlessly. What the cause of this was was still something Mandain didn't know, all he knew was these Twins weren't going to give the 10 dollars back without a reason. The pigeons were still not easy with the situation, Mandain was getting slight uneasy about those pigeons,

"Hmmm, Let she show begin", Mandain raised his hand to wards the pigeons up above them. A huge purple blast came out of Mandain his hand palm, in less then 3 seconds those pigeons fell down on the ground, they hadn't survived the 4 meters fall.

"You girls enjoining the show?, How would you feel if it was you laying down in the ground? Mandain said it with an evil smile glancing on his face.

Mandain hoped the girls would back of and be polite enough to give the dollars back. Not knowing how the girls would respond Mandain raised his hand again, this time to wards the twins.

(OOC: I read, and looks very interesting. Let's see how this plays out.

Purple fire came from his hands, aimed at the restless flock above. "You girls enjoining the show?, How would you feel if it was you laying down in the ground?

Amp shook her head and sighed as the pigeons fell to the ground, stunned or dead, they couldn’t tell. ”You want impressed, next time make it rain money or men. But I suppose it’s a decent opening act. Can’t you hear the applause?”

Twin smirks adorned their faces. Even as Amp was speaking, a steady roar had began building, as if a train were passing nearby. Her last statement was actually shouted in order to be heard. There was a slight tremor below the ground, but hardly noticeable or worrisome. Then without warning, the ground directly below Mandain cracked and buckled, dropping where he stood about an inch. A chunk of cement, about the size of a golf ball, shot upwards toward his face. The tactic wasn’t meant to attack, merely off-balance their opponent. Then instant the depression appeared, Amp and Vibe threw themselves sideways onto the ground, rolling out of the line of fire.

As an added measure, Amp sent a signature ear-piercing sonic shriek directly at Mandain’s ears. Hopefully the combined attack would distracted him long enough for a more direct attack. For the moment they contented themselves with going on the defensive.

(OOC: Horus speaks broken English so it's a bit like how Yoda from star wars would speak)

A steady roar was building up, it was like a train passing by, the only strange thing was, there was no train nearby. Mandain was feeling rather uneasy with this situation. He knew that there was more going on with these twins then he knew

"You want impressed, next time make it rain money or men. But I suppose it’s a decent opening act. Can’t you hear the applause?”
The Girl was shouting to be heard, the train noise was very load.

The twins were getting enjoying with their answers, they clearly knew how to do that, Mandain was trying to figure out what to do, but those thoughts came to an end when the ground beneath him was falling apart, the ground was lowered about an inch, "Oh sh*t," Mandain knew he was in trouble. that thought also was interrupted by a chunk of cement, about the size of a golf ball, it only missed his face with less then an inch. Mandain ran back to a dumpster, to find some cover, while running to wards the dumpster, he shot a few beams to the twins that already were running around in a defensive position. Horus felt that Mandain wasn't handling the situation to good, since Mandain not really used his powers lately he was a bit rusty about thinking over his tactics.

Mandain started feeling sick, his stomach was turning around and everything around him was spinning, he looked over the corner of the dumpster and instead of seeing the twins he saw about 20 of of them.
He turned back and sat down, he closed his eye's and took a few breaths, then passed out. After about 10 seconds Horus took over of Mandains body.

Horus standard up from behind the dumpster and started walking to wards the twins

"Hahahahahahahaaha, You face me, you die." Horus was speaking the English words a bit broken and with an Egyptian dialect. Horus raised his hand to his upper right shoulder where Mandain had tattooed his sword. He flash of light came, it wasn't blinding, but it sure was bright.
The sword Mandain had tattooed on his arm came to life, and was being hold by Horus in his right hand. "Mandain want what of you?" Horus stopped walking and waited for a response.

"Hahahahahahahaaha, You face me, you die."

On the other side of the car, Vibe rolled her eyes. "Spoken like a true hero," she scoffed sarcastically. "Wonder which movie he pulled that line from?"

Amp merely grunted. She was more interested in the sudden appearance of a sword in the man's hand. "Nice trick," she remarked quietly.

"Mandain want what of you?"

The girls exchanged a curious look, before ducking back behind the car. Amp began emitting an echolocation call, to keep the man in 'view', of sorts. It enabled the two of them to 'see' the weapon he was holding, and if, and how, he was moving it. Then Amp threw her voice in several different directions, so it sounded as if she were all around him, not just off to one side.

"Who is Mandain? And who are you?"

>And who taught you how to talk?< Vibe added with a silent snicker.

"Who is Mandain? And who are you?"
The twins clearly had no idea of who they were facing, although he is in human form, don't underestimate a god.
Horus started tapping on the ground with his sword, the tapping sound of the sword started making little ruptures in the ground.

"Hahahahahahaahaha, foolish you are." The laugh was cold and full with hatred. Now out of the ruptures came Horus his little friends, a dozen of them. 12 little black blueish scarabs came crawling to the surface threw the ruptures. They were now circling around Horus, shining without even a glance sun.

" Mandain is mutant host me for, Underestimate not him nor me. As said I, What Mandain want of you?" Horus started walking slowly to wards the twins again, his head to wards the ground, looking at his little friends who were following him.

>Ugh!! Beetles!!< Vibe reflexively scratched her arms; she hated creepy crawlie things. Amp cringed as well, and began sending out a sonic pulse shield to keep the bug at bay, if they decided to swarm. She also sent out a series of sonic calls to the bats roosting in the area. The scarabs were fairly large, so she doubted the bats would be able to eat them, but perhaps they would at least be able to keep them occupied. She kept her eyes on the bugs, while Vibe kept her ears on the man.

" Mandain is mutant host me for, Underestimate not him nor me. As said I, What Mandain want of you?"

"Mutant host?" Amp said after a pause. "So.... you're telling us you're not a mutant. I find that hard to believe."
