Other features: Cody has very large "Lana Del Rey" style lips.
Everyday clothing style: Sometimes called a "hipster", Cody dresses eclectically. He prefers to dress in clothes he finds at vintage stores. He wears a lot of skinny jeans, tank tops, old oxford shoes, varsity jackets, and leather bombers. He's also fond of bracelets and necklaces, sometimes wearing as much as 10 different accessories at one time.
Uniform: Not Applicable
Sleepwear: Boxer briefs. Nothing else.
Miscellaneous clothing: Cody also carries a bag with him almost everywhere he goes. He has one nice leather couture bag he found at a vintage store and bought in an instant.
Character
Personality: Cody loves spontaneity, adventure, travel, meeting new people, and variety. He has the curiosity of a cat and longs to experience all life has to offer. He can often feel bogged down by the same mundane routines week after week. Cody loves change. He has an upbeat, inspiring personality, and when paired with his good looks, it is generally easy for him to make new friends, but he has never really experienced a true friend. Cody is also a sensuous individual, but it makes him a bit materialistic. Art, fashion, food, and other sensory experiences are essential to the enjoyment of his life. Cody is often viewed as a wild child by teachers and other adults. His own desires often get in the way of responsibilities, which he shoves aside to get the most out of life. On top of all of this, Cody is reckless. Danger rarely worries him and is overzealous in his approach to difficult challenges. Cody is also a social butterfly and an extreme extrovert, but as said before, he has trouble making true friends and has never experienced love or the pain that comes from a love lost.
Hobbies/ Interests: Listening to indie pop music, DJing, getting tattoos, shopping for vintage clothes, spontaneous walks at night, and skateboarding.
Job or part time job and description: A senior in high school.
Fears/phobias/concerns: Cody is worried that his addiction to his power will grow too strong for him to shake. Purposefully hurting himself to feel the euphoric state just leads to depression and a hard crash, but the pleasure is irresistible. Cody has a big secret he's had buried inside him since he hit puberty, which is that he's gay. He already feels out of place with his mutant power, and the thought of placing yet another great divide between himself and others, terrifies him.
Special talents: Skateboarding, DJing, and finding vintage treasures for unbelievably low prices. He seems to have a special talent for getting himself into trouble, but thankfully he is equally as good at talking himself out of a jam.
Morality
Good/bad/neutral/other: Good. Despite Cody's rebellious behavior, obsession with tattoos, unusual fashion, and skater punk style, he is quite a good person. He opens doors for others, helps old ladies cross the road, always says "please" and "thank you", gives pocket change to the homeless, and generally cares about strangers around him. He truly wishes that everyone could just get along and especially doesn't understand discrimination based on mutant powers, race, sexual orientation, religious affiliation, or gender. It just goes to show you that you can't judge a book by its cover.
Mutations
Mutation description: Masochism
A rather unique power. Simply put, Cody has the constant ability to percieve pain as pleasure. This means that any pain felt short of a lethal blow will actually give him a temporary high. It is a sudden rush of pleasure, which energizes him akin to an extreme sugar rush. Cody doesn't move any faster, hit any harder, or think more clearly. His power also does not negate the effects which caused the pain. The pleasure Cody feels is stronger depending on the severity of the pain. The more painful something would be for a normal human, the more pleasurable Cody would find it. The pleasure is an instantaneous rush and slows down just as pain does. If Cody had a gaping open wound, he would constantly be feeling a euphoric high, but if it were just a small paper cut, it would only last about a minute.
Strengths: The euphoria associated with things normal humans find painful allow Cody to withstand a lot of physical abuse while taking pleasure in it.
Weaknesses: Cody's power has multiple weaknesses. First off, despite his body making Cody feel like he has experienced something pleasurable, Cody is still just a teenage boy. Any injury he suffers needs to be treated as such. His power does not enable him to heal his wounds any faster than a normal human and he must be treated appropriately for any injury he receives. If his arm were cut off, it would be like pure ecstasy, but now his arm is cut off and he might even die from blood loss. He can still die in the same manner any other human might die. Second, Cody's power is extremely addicting. There is a reason Cody has so many tattoos. Getting a tattoo is a perfect manner to feed his power and get that high Cody has come to long for. That isn't to say that his tattoos are meaningless, but they are a perfect way for him to relish in the ecstasy of his ability. It is not uncommon for Cody to purposefully hurt himself in an effort to feel the pleasure. Finally, Cody's power only works with physical, tangible pain. Any mental pain associated with love, life, depression, or even psychic attacks works normally on Cody.

Fighting Style
Explanation: Cody is a typical teenager with no unique fighting abilities. He has been in multiple scuffles with peers, but nothing serious. That being said, he is quick on his feet and throws a mean uppercut. His power allows him to act as a human punching bag and come out smiling, but he tends to be overzealous and despite how he feels, his body suffers for it the next day when he wakes up to bruises, cuts, scrapes, and even open wounds.
Pros for fighting style: Cody can withstand a lot of normal physical pain and he is not scared of fighting on the front line.
Cons for fighting style: He doesn't have a lot of moves. He isn't an acrobat, a martial artist, or a ninja. He simply swings and hopes to connect his fist to someone's jaw.
Faction Allegiance
The X-men/The Order/The NYPD/Unaffiliated: Unaffiliated.
History Of Your Character:
It all started when a young, beautiful American model fell for the charming guy with the French accent. Cody's Mom and Dad had him out of wedlock in Los Angeles, California where he spent the first year of his life before his parents finally tied the knot and his Mom followed his Dad back to Paris, France. Cody grew up as the single child in a household where money was never an issue. His father worked as a businessman at a French entertainment company and his mother (who modeled in her youth) opened a studio and became a locally famous photographer. Cody was an ugly duckling. As a child, his big lips and shaggy brown hair looked awkward on his tiny frame and he found it difficult to manage his appearance, but by late middle school he really grew into his good looks. He had a growth spurt the summer before his fourteenth birthday and went from being one of the shortest kids in his class to being one of the tallest boys in the school. He went to a coed private school near downtown Paris where he spent more time on the roof of the school (after stumbling upon the hidden entrance) with his friends than he did in class. He wasn't a bad kid, but he hated school. He enjoyed art class, literature, and gym, but he felt out of place in the other classes. He could never picture himself growing up to be a doctor or scientist and didn't understand why he should even bother studying biology or mathematics.
His parents led awfully busy lives and weren't home often. They had a spacious apartment in downtown Paris near one of the major shopping districts. He lived just blocks away from the subway and had easy access to some of the trendiest and most fashionable places in the city. In his teenage years he became interested in street fashion. Not just in France, but around the world. His parents weren't frugal with their money and often spoiled Cody in an effort to make up for the time (or lack thereof) that they spent with him. Despite that, Cody preferred to shop at vintage clothing stores and wore some really off-the-wall outfits. He was sent home from school multiple times due to dress code violations.
When he was fifteen he got his first tattoo. A friend that had recently gotten a tattoo informed him of a place that was a little less than reputable, but willing to do business to underage kids . He had just recently finished reading "Le Petit Prince" for possibly the 50th time. It was his favorite book and he seemed to always be reading it. He ended up getting a snake eating an elephant tattooed on his right ankle. The shopkeeper had asked if he was over eighteen. Cody nodded and smiled, "oui!" His love of tattoos grew from there and he turned out to be quite the valued customer.
Cody was also an avid skateboarder. He preferred it as his general means of transportation. Since he lived close to the best areas, it was easy for him to use his skateboard to get around the city. He also hated waiting for trains and despised crowded subways. His friends often skateboarded with him and Cody picked up a few tricks here and there.
There was one person in Cody's life whom he cared for above all others, his Grandmother. His Grandma on his father's side lived in an apartment a few blocks away from where Cody lived. Since she was old and spent most of her days at home, he visited her often. They would listen to music on an old record player, drink tea, and eat cucumber sandwiches. Despite her age, she was remarkably intuitive, liberal, and hip. She surprisingly enjoyed it when Cody would bring in old school hip hop vinyls to listen to or crazy clothes to dress her in. His parents only ever visited her on holidays or on their prearranged monthly dinner get togethers. Just before Cody's sixteenth birthday, his Grandmother finally passed away. She passed away quietly in her sleep and no one was very surprised. Even though it was sad, Cody dealt with his emotions well. She had been in her nineties and everyone suspected that it would be coming soon, including him. To his shock, Cody found out that his Grandmother had left him a large trust fund, which he wasn't to allowed to touch if he didn't graduate from high school.
Although he had a lot riding on it, Cody still found it difficult to do well in school. He spent even more time with his friends now that his Grandmother had passed away. By this point, skateboarding had become an art to him. He relished in trying out new complicated tricks. Landing them for the first time was such a natural high! One day he was skating down a railing and fell hard against the concrete. He arm lay twisted at his side, broken, but instead of crying out in pain he was filled with a filling of pure pleasure. His friends ran to his side and gathered around him to make sure Cody was okay, but Cody sat there with an odd grin on his face, his mouth hanging open and his eyes in the back of his head. It quickly became apparent that something was different about him and he had this strange power. His parents found out and didn't know how to react or care for him. They never told him "everything will be okay". They seemed to be even less involved in his life and distance themselves even further from him than they already had. Cody ended up taking one of their credit cards and buying a plane ticket to New York City. He found a loft in Williamsburg, Brooklyn and put it all on the credit card before his parents noticed that he had left.

Cody sighed loudly and tapped his foot. The L train was always late! He stood at the Bedford subway stop where he had been waiting for the last 20 minutes for the L train into Manhattan. It was a quarter past 1 am on a Friday night, so it was no surprise that trains were running slowly at this point, but Cody had plans to meet his friend at a house party in the Lower East Side. Cody was leaning against a nearby pillar and listening to a Yelle remix on his ipod. He was wearing brown Oxfords, dark blue skinny jeans, and a white tank top which said "Coeur De Pirate". He was also carrying a black leather bag and had a blue and gold varsity jacket tied around his waist.
There weren't many others waiting on the platform. It was especially empty for a Friday night. There was a Caucasian homeless man walking towards Cody pushing a shopping cart full of bags and old clothes. The man stopped in front of Cody and looked the boy up and down. The man grinned, displaying a nearly toothless smile and sending a stench of rotten eggs rushing through Cody's nostrils. The man uttered some words, which Cody couldn't hear over the electronic beat of Yelle, and extended his right palm open towards Cody. Cody nodded, but didn't speak because he was holding his breath trying not to get another whiff of the rotten smell emanating from the man. Cody stuck his hand inside his bag, dug around for a moment or two, and pulled out a half over a cucumber sandwich that he had planned on saving for the ride home from the party and handed it the old man. The homeless man took a bite, smiled, and moved on. Cody let out his breath and smiled because at that moment he caught a glimpse of the train lights approaching the station.
The train was rather empty as well. He sat down in a seat near the door and across from a slender woman who appeared to be in her late 30's or early 40's. As the train started to move, the door connecting the adjoining cars slid over and a group of guys that looked to be college students entered the car. There were 3 of them. All around six-foot tall and wearing a t-shirt and jeans. One of them had on a Boston Red Sox cap. They all seemed to immediately take notice of Cody and over the sound of his music, Cody could see them glancing at him and occasionally laughing or pointing.
The one wearing the Red Sox Cap plopped himself down right next to Cody and looked over at him saying something. Cody reluctantly took out his earphones, turned off his ipod, and put it away in his bag before saying "excuse me?"
"I was just talking with my friends here..." the older boy began to say while trying to stifle his giggling, "and you see, we made a bet." The boy's friends were standing nearby and listening intently as he continued on, "We were just wondering, you see..." he was obviously having trouble holding in his laughter by this point, "are you a boy or a girl?"
Cody sighed loudly, stood up, and started to walk past the guys towards the other train car. The guy in the Red Sox cap stood up too and one of his friends pushed Cody hard into the subway car's closed door, slamming Cody's face against the glass. The attack provided a short burst of pleasure and he turned around to smile at his attackers. "That was a bad idea," He grinned.
