Since the existence of mutants was first revealed in the nineties, the world has become a changed place. Whether they're genetic misfits or the next stage in humanity's evolution, there's no denying their growing numbers, especially in hubs like New York City. The NYPD has a division devoted to mutant related crimes. Super-powered vigilantes help to maintain the peace. Those who style themselves as Homo Superior work to tear society apart for rebuilding in their own image.

MRO is an intermediate to advanced writing level original character, original plot X-Men RPG. We've been open and active since October of 2005. You can play as a mutant, human, or Adapted— one of the rare humans who nullify mutant powers by their very existence. Goodies, baddies, and neutrals are all welcome.

After the events of the 2020 Harvest Moon and the following Winter Solstice, magic has started manifesting in the MROvere! With the efforts of the Welldrinker Cult, people are being converted into Mystics, a species of people genetically disposed to be great conduits for magical energy.

A shadowy group is gaining power, drawing in people who are curious, vulnerable, or malicious, and turning them into Mystics. They are recruiting people into their ranks to spread the influence of magic in the world, but for what end goal?

A new city was always hard to get accustomed to. And one as large as New York was no exception. Despite all the place Gill had been, NYC was by far the largest. The size did work to his advantage, however. With all the skyscrapers there were plenty of small unnoticed buildings that could be employed for certain...activities. And out of the millions that lived here, there were to be many that were involved in these activities. Gill just had to fin the right ones.

It was suggested to Gill that NYC was the way to go. With so many other things to focus on, the law overlooked underground fighting. It was supposedly safer here in New York. Only problem was finding the fight club. Gill only had the name of a hole in the wall restaurant that was supposed to employ a guy who could help Gill find some fights. All he had to do was find this small restaurant and the guy who worked there. Then convince this guy he was to be trusted.

Upon arriving in the city, Gill drove around to locate a tourist information center. He got a map and asked the guy working there if he knew the “Terrabloom Pub” sadly, but as Gill expected, he did not. Gill drove around for a while, looking for the place and occasionally asking people who were walking down the sidewalk. He was having no luck. But in a city this size, it was to be expected. It was starting to get late, and Gill was hungry. Fishing out his wallet, Gill counted out $20. It was going to have to last him until he found this “Terrabloom Pub.” Gill Parked in front of a Burger King, and walked in

Gill ordered some food, again asking the cashier if they knew of the restaurant but to no avail. Taking his food Gill went and sat down to eat.
