The X-men run missions and work together with the NYPD, striving to maintain a peaceful balance between humans and mutants. When it comes to a fight, they won't back down from protecting those who need their help.
Haven presents itself as a humanitarian organization for activists, leaders, and high society, yet mutants are the secret leaders working to protect and serve their kind. Behind the scenes they bring their goals into reality.
From the time when mutants became known to the world, SUPER was founded as a black-ops division of the CIA in an attempt to classify, observe, and learn more about this new and rising threat.
The Syndicate works to help bring mutantkind to the forefront of the world. They work from the shadows, a beacon of hope for mutants, but a bane to mankind. With their guiding hand, humanity will finally find extinction.
Since the existence of mutants was first revealed in the nineties, the world has become a changed place. Whether they're genetic misfits or the next stage in humanity's evolution, there's no denying their growing numbers, especially in hubs like New York City. The NYPD has a division devoted to mutant related crimes. Super-powered vigilantes help to maintain the peace. Those who style themselves as Homo Superior work to tear society apart for rebuilding in their own image.

Insults, yada, yada yap...like he really was afraid of a monkey with wings. Sorry sister, but this place was no Wizard of Oz and all. Ignoring the head of warning, his mouth had already sputtered out comments that seemed to drive deep into the 'Alpha'. One moment he was poking about with the meat cutting it up and the next thing he knew hot breath was pouring over him. This wasn't a sewing convention, but apparently someone was out to send him back out of the kitchen in stitches.
His face saw it for a brief moment, long enough that swallowing down the deer meat was all he was able to do. As the right hook came at his face, the weight of the punch with the follow through pushed his head to turn to the right with it. A slosh of spit shooting from his mouth, the damage was done. Hitting him was the biggest mistake of Emerald's life. Cross him once, and forever expect nothing but hell raising actions.
Turning his head back now to face the freak, the squinted eyes narrowed in on the young woman. "Love taps." Reaching over to plate that had the half cut up meat, he took a hold of the slab and swung it up at her face. Was he going for strength hits, of course not, no this was more of an insulted slap in the face.....with her own food.
"Hit me again, you'll regret it mutt." This girl had issues, major issues. Going and punching him in the face while he was eating. That was just messed up. Sure he wasn't exactly the perfect conversationalist, but at least he wasn't physically busting someone's skull open. One thing for sure, if she even dared to lay a finger on him now, oh he was so going to go all crazy apeshit on her. For now, the gargoyle girl wasn't even in his thoughts. It was him and Ms 'I rip my pants for my tail'.

Gina stepped aside, and as she did, she slipped out of Emerald and Hokees' realms of focus and into the background, setting her plate on the counter. Emerald's form went stiff with determination as she rose. Her arm swung back, and with a trained accuracy, connected with Hokee's jaw. As much as Gina hated the Dreadlock Boy, she still winced at the punch.
Emerald told Hokee to bring it, called him a few choice words, and an uncomfortable tension settled upon the room. Gina wavered. She was rather fond of her face, wanted to maintain its unbroken and normative appearance. She already had wings, horns, a tail, claws and freaky feet. The last thing she needed was the face of a hockey player that'd taken too many hits to top it off.
The pause gave way to a return of blows. Hokee took the meat up from his plate and hit Emerald in the face, to which Gina stood a little straighter, her eyes widening in disbelief. Really? If Gina weren't so scared, she might have laughed... it was so... Three Stooges. But truth be told, she was scared. For Emerald, mostly-- she didn't know what the older girl was capable of, and she didn't know what the Dreadlock Boy might do to Emerald.
"Guys, please," Gina groaned, moving a few steps closer, yet still keeping her distance. She really didn't want to wedge herself into this fight, but she would if there wasn't any other choice. Maybe Em would be the bigger person and back down-- she was the eldest present, and the adult in the situation (hadn't she just hit a minor, now that Gina thought of it)?
Everything would be so much easier if everyone was a wolf. Emerald would have been able to end this feud quickly and swiftly with a quick bite to the scruff and a pin to the ground. Instead, this gave the boy a chance to throw the piece of meat at her, which she chuckled lightly at.
Was he really that stupid? He thought that would insult her, oh no, he had gone beyond insulting her now and all she wanted to make him do was to make him hurt or to submit. He made her feel pain that she did not want to feel, anger that was not fully directed at him, but the words that he said and he deserved to be punished for it.
Emerald would about to swing again, this punch fully intending to put his lights out and end this little feud of there. She came fairly close to striking the young man again, her hand coming inches from his nose when Gina spoke. Then, all at once, the she-wolf stopped, lowering her arm and taking a step away from the Dreadlocked boy.
That smell, she knew she had smelt it before and it wasn't coming from the person she wanted it to come from. She wanted to be a good Alpha, someone who was fair and just to those who were with her as well as those against her. The last thing she wanted was for a member of her pack to be scared of her and Gina was right, this really wasn't worth it. Hokee wasn't the opponent she wanted, he wasn’t a honorable fighter, clearly not a fellow wolf in disguise. He was just another weak two leg who thought he could challenge an Alpha female without any obvious repercussions.
I don’t want to scare Gina anymore, even if I do want to beat the hell out of this kid. Emerald thought, knowing what she had to do. The wolf girl's body language relaxed and she took several steps back before turning to walk over to Gina, her face filled with guilt, but not for hitting Hokee. In fact, she did not even acknowledge his existence after that
"Hey...do you wanna go somewhere else," Emerald asked softly, blue eyes far softer than the furious beast Gina had seen before. Normal Emerald seemed to be back to stay this time and despite her extreme fury that Gina had seen before, she seemed a little more subdued now. “Sorry you had to see that, just bad thoughts that’s all.”
Someone needed a time out, and it wasn't him. This girl was really itching to start something she would regret. Now a smart person wouldn't have kept egging her on, but doing things the practical intelligent way wasn't his style. He did have one thing with him today, and it was luck. Luck in the form of a mutant girl he would tease mercilessly with no rhyme or reason. He couldn't help it, it was just to easy. With a face that looked like it belonged on the side of some freakishly old church and wings which looked more awkward then the 80s. The tail, now that was a joke of its own, the thing had its own zip code.
Despite it all, there the little monkey was asking for them to chill or whatever. He certainly wasn't doing anything. Sure he slapped the gal with a slab of meat, but he certainly didn't punch her in the face. One thing for sure, tomorrow was going to be a milkshake diet day. The hit was actually a really good one. Better then he had anticipated, but wasn't going to tell her that. Give a girl and inch and they take a whole yard. Give one a drawer in your dresser and get stuck with their whole closet.....or he thought thats what he heard it being summarized as before.
Squinted eyes stayed focus on the fist ready to smash in his nose. Not blinking at all, he could feel his own body moving towards her while throwing his arms back behind him. What was a hit or two. The girl would eventually give up, he had a thick enough skull, he could take it. The blood vessels in the side of his face along with the muscles on the other hand, well they would be staging their own formal protest within the next forty-eight hours.
"Thought so." The fist inches from his nose had retreated away from him along with the body of the so called Alpha. For being an Alpha, she sure seemed like a lot of talk and not much behind the words. Big shot. At least with his running mouth and cockiness, he was actually what he said he was....to a degree. While Emerald went to comfort Gina, Hokee made his way across the kitchen. Picking up a frying pan, he came up from behind and gave a heavy swing to her back with the frying pan recently used for cooking. "You're the only mutt here, no Alphas, get it right." Okay, not the most diplomatic way to say things, or go about them. But if he was going to be supporting a rather sore face, she could walk away with something a bit tender herself. Resourceful....and a bit comical her own frying pan used against her.

It worked. It actually worked. Em decompressed and took a step back. Then another. And another. Then she turned around and went over Gina, expression remorseful. A half-smile tilted at the corners of her mouth as Em drew closer.
>> "Hey...do you wanna go somewhere else? Sorry you had to see that, just bad thoughts that’s all.”
"I understand," Gina breathed, "Yeah, let's go."
Gina didn't care where they went, as long as they got away from him. All he was was bad news. Gina didn't want anything to do with him. He was cruel and meanspirited, just because he could be. Just because she spared Dreadlock Boy from getting his face inverted by the werewolf's fist, didn't mean Gina felt any inclination to defend him further. She cared about Emerald. And in this situation, only Emerald.
Emerald's form blocked the petite gargoyle's view. Had Gina seen Hokee coming, she might have cautioned Emerald, she could have prevented it. But she didn't. Gina didn't see the frying pan until it was being swung towards Emerald's back.
In a cartoon, this was funny-- a person could take suck a blow and walk away unharmed-- yet a person could also get blown to smithereens, hit by a car or a train, or shot, and be just fine in a cartoon as well. This was no cartoon. This was the real world. It took only moments for the pan to come into view and connect with Emerald's back, and in the few moments following, Gina brushed past Emerald.
Gina's open palm caught Dreadlock Boy by the shoulder and pushed him back, forcing him away from the two girls as Gina stepped forward. Her eyes that were typically jovial and laughing were dulled by a scowl, which touched her lips grimly. It wasn't a rough shove, by any means, but if Dreadlock Boy happened to stumble over his own to feet and fall, all the better. He couldn't go after Emerald from the floor.
"Leave her alone," Gina growled, her wings subconsciously filling the gap between the counters as she attempted to seem bigger than a meager five-foot-one. Gina had had her fair share of scuffles-- what, with three older brothers and rambunctious friends of said brothers. Heck, she'd even taken on a murderer and lived to tell about it. She didn't really want to fight Dreadlock Boy, but if push came to shove, Gina would rise to that challenge.
Alpha’s always have ways to test their opponents, whether it was directly or indirectly they were always testing things. Turning and walking away from Hokee was probably one of the better things she could have done because she knew that if that fight escalated he would probably get hurt far worse. Not that he didn’t deserve it but he just didn’t deserve to be beaten up in the way she was planning on doing it. Now she was giving him a test to just walk away and not be chased off this territory. The wolf girl took a half a step forward before she was unfortunately met with a rather large and rather hard object connecting with the back
No pain showed on the wolf girls face as the awful thing struck, she didn’t even look like it affected her in the slightest, even if her back throbbed a bit. Emerald had been hit by heavy things before so the pain that exploded in her backwas no surprise, however, this didn’t mean it hurt any less. Luckily the wolf girl had a higher pain tolerance than most people, so this blow wasn’t nearly as debilitating as the Dreadlocked boy wanted it to be. That said, she had been injuried on her run as Shred during the previous night and had been burnt on her back by a fire manipulator so that wound may have been reopened.
This was when she felt Gina push gently passed her which caused the wolf girl to panic a little. Her big sister/Alpha instincts were kicking in big time and she didn’t want Gina to get hurt by the stupid boy that hurt her earlier. The she-wolf turned around, but slowly not wanting to open up the wound too fast, just in time to see Gina take the fighting position in front of the dreadlocked menace. This was a surprise for Emerald because she never pegged Gina being the fighting type especially with that form-wait a second.
She’s using the same pose that I used when I was about to fight him. Emerald thought blue eyes focusing on the two, her back aching a little. That pan that he hit her with was a cast Iron pan, one of the biggest pans in kitchen and due to its age in addition to its make, it may have done far more damage than she thought.
Emerald placed her hand on her back out of curiousity, and touched something wet and warm, when she took her hand away, there was blood on her hand and a fair amount of blood covered her hand, not nearly as bad as it could have been. After all he could have hit her head instead. The wolf girl looked at the two, noticing Gina’s look, knowing the younger girl wanted to beat the hell out of him as much as she did.
“Gina, he’s not worth it, he’s just a dishonorable two legged pup who knows nothing about how the world works. I knew he was going to do that, only cowards attack from behind after the Alpha has given them immunity,” Emerald told her friend, not even acknowledging Hooke’s existence other than talking about him once again. The wolf girl placed her hand behind her back again to stop the bleeding, feeling it start to dampen the blue t-shirt she wore fairly well. This was an inconvience for her, she would probably have to get it looked at sooner rather than later.
First though, she had to make sure Gina didn't try to beat this guy up because if she did, Emerald would have no choice to join in and beat the crap out of him too.
His aim was a little bit off, but thankfully the back was a large enough target he was able to hit it. Surprisingly enough he got a better hit in then he had expected. His initial intents of just a solid blow to Emerald's back ended up turning into a knocking success. The blood on the other hand, well he didn't expect that at all. The pan was a blunt object, and he honestly didn't expect that much blood to appear from a slightly miss aimed hit. For a split second, he had the notion he might have actually caused a great deal of damage that might have ended her life a bit prematurely, though that wasn't the case. Good or bad, that was yet to be determined.
However with his successful hit, there was a re-precaution to it all, the figure of a dwarf gargoyle monkey pushing his body back. He didn't fear her small form and was not intimidated by her. How could he, she reminded him to much of the flying Monkeys found on TV. It was in the balancing himself after his connection of pan with head that his body was still recovering from the thrill and excitement of it all, that the funky hands were on his chest pushing him back away.
Yes the freaky monkey may have pushed him back a bit with her little arms and all, but he still had a frying pan....with blood on it. "Touch me again and I'll flatten your face." Eating the steak in the same room with them was one thing, having to deal with their tails twitching about and talking about sewing and all was another thing. But their hands on him was something totally different, no one touched him. Well a hot girl could, but neither of them were that.
Raising the pan up, he took a batter's stance. "TWO legged PUP. Bring it b****!" No he was not going to be left on the same level as those two. No way on earth or even in the fire infested gates of hell would that ever happen. He wasn't some tailed freak like them. He was not a pup. He was a man. He had a car, a job and wasn't living with parents, he was a man....the other two were just....freaks. Freaks of nature that he was about to beat with a frying pan. Sure Gina was trying to block Emerald from him with her big fat old wings, but it couldn't take to long to take her down if need be...

>> “Gina, he’s not worth it, he’s just a dishonorable two legged pup who knows nothing about how the world works. I knew he was going to do that, only cowards attack from behind after the Alpha has given them immunity.”
Gina hummed and didn’t otherwise acknowledge Emerald. Gina couldn’t look back at Em, with her wings puffed up so that she was both barricading Emerald from going after Hokee, and defending her from him. She glowered at Hokee, her eyes thinned.
>> "Touch me again and I'll flatten your face."
“Then you’d better not give me a reason to touch you,” Gina snapped waspishly. Hokee wasn’t afraid of her, and the feeling was mutual—Gina didn’t fear a frying pan-wielding boy with an attitude.
>> "TWO legged PUP. Bring it b****!"
Dreadlock Boy directed his attention towards Emerald, which Gina found ironic—Gina was still acting as a human-shield between the two of them, so if her wings were doing their job, Emerald wouldn’t be able to see him.
“She didn’t mean it like that,” Gina said flatly. If this kid didn’t have such an aversion to schools, he would have known what a metaphor was. He was acting like a pup in the sense that he was being immature and acting like a child who was throwing a tantrum. With which Gina could wholly agree.
“Don’t you have anything better to do, than to antagonize people?” Gina demanded in exasperation. If this boy had such a tiff with mutants, it had been a cruel twist of fate that had led him to a mutant school. Someone up there had a sick and twisted sense of humor, “Particularly when we’d done nothing to you?”
The look in Ginas' eyes spoke the obvious truth. She wouldn't move. For Dreadlock Boy to get to Emerald, or vice-versa, they'd have to go either through or around Gina. Gina didn't look like much, but looks were often quite deci“Particularly when we’d done nothing to you?”eving. The righteous, human-faced children could be the jerks that were victimizing everyone else-- while the kids who looked like demons were perhaps the most civil ones present.
This kid was really lucky that Gina was there and standing between the two of them because if she wasn’t Emerald really didn’t know what she would do or say for that matter. While she did want to completely ignore his punk self, he just happened to be there, ruining her day.
That seemed to be how all her encounters went with people that she didn’t like. She saw them, she punched them and they still somehow managed to ruin her day with every word that came out of their mouth. Maybe it would be better if she just started punching their mouths first. It would probably make her days a lot quiter and easier for that matter, rendering them speechless in a literal sense.
Speaking of ruining her day, the wolf girl reached behind her again to feel that wound on her back, bringing her hand before her face again, it was still bleeding. The wolf girl grumbled a little, realizing that she may have been burned yesterday more than she thought she had been.
“Damn, looks like that flaming tree did more damage than I thought.” Emerald muttered very quietly, wiping the blood off on the front of her jeans.
The wolf girl straightened up a little trying to think of her next plan of action for this whole thing, there was really no point in her fighting in any way shape or form, even if the kid was just plain pissing her off. Gina was there and she didn’t want Gina to see the truly ugly side of her nature, the younger girl was too nice for that.
“I think I’m starting to realize why my oldest sister hates other people so much,” Emerald groaned, her head starting to throb from all of this stand still, yelling and just stress in general. This was not the time or place for this at the moment. “If you are just annoyed by our existence, boy, then you better get get used to it, no matter what you do or say it’s not gonna drive us away and unless you really want to fight and be touched by two things you obviously hate then I would suggest you leave.”
That was it, he officially lost his appetite for life now. There was no way on earth he was ever going to eat again with the combination of the two girls in the room. That was if you could even call them female. Freaks of nature was more like it. Tailed girls with major problems. He didn't need to deal with this, not now and not ever. Tossing the frying pan at the messed up monkey, his back turned on the duo of estrogen. "Blah, blah, blah."
Twisting the knob for the stove, Hokee plucked up a can of PAM cooking spray. "This place is going to the dogs." With that, the teen strolled towards the door. While in the frame, he tossed the can of spray at the stove. Not like he cared one way or another on what would happen next. He had to get out of the house and get fresh air. Find a chick, do something. Anything was better then staying around the kitchen with freakish mutants.
"Freaks."
With that, the last of the dreadlocks flicked out of the room leaving the two girls with a pressing matter. A flying can of PAM. Time was a funny thing. It could rush past, slow down or seem like it wasn't moving at all. For Hokee, it was a fleeting moment. There were better things to do right now then deal with the mutants living in the mansion. Finding a car to get some fast cash was high on the list, he needed repairs to his car and more importantly he needed a large quantity of currency to get what he needed. Life was brutal like that, making things so difficult and hard to do. Not much he could say about the matter, he just had to push through and deal with it. Much like the flying can of PAM.

Gina didn’t look back at Emerald, but she heard her murmuring to himself about a burning tree and an older sister, before her attention was directed towards the shouting Dreadlock Boy.
>> “If you are just annoyed by our existence, boy, then you better get get used to it, no matter what you do or say it’s not gonna drive us away and unless you really want to fight and be touched by two things you obviously hate then I would suggest you leave.”
She reiterated what Gina had just said, except a little less mild-mannered in the address. Gina didn’t turn to look at the older girl, nor could she had done so, because she was still barricading the walkway with partially extended wings. She didn’t trust either mutant to give-up or give-in, thus would remain defensive until one or the other took their leave. She didn’t expect either of them to leave, though.
Which was why Gina was incredibly alarmed when Hokee seemed to just give-up. He threw the frying pan in Gina’s direction—the cast-iron, still mildly warm frying pan—and rather than attempt to step aside (for she couldn’t have dodged to projectile well, she extended her hand, and dipped down to intercept it. It connected with a dull pain and a mild burn, but the pan skittered to a stop.
>> "Blah, blah, blah. This place is going to the dogs."
Aerosol can chucked at the stove, Hokee considered his job finished and departed. Gina waited until he was out the door to closer her wings and run for the stove. She flicked it off, plucked up the can, and gave an annoyed huff.
>> "Freaks."
“Butthead,” was Gina’s artless, murmured retort. Kids like her had been called freaks since Day One by kids like him. Stove off, PAM can brushed aside, Gina took the opportunity to stare at her hand. The outer rim of her palm had been slightly burnt, but not much. She’d keep an eye on it. She looked towards Emerald coolly.
“That guy really bothers me,” the gargoyle observed, her gaze flickering over Emerald… Emerald, who was surveying her hand, which had blood on it. Gina drew closer, “Did he nail you? Where?”
If it wasn't for Gina blocking the way, Emerald Lupin would have probably gone after Hokee, especially after she saw that Hokee had thrown the pan at her. While Gina had deflected it, it no doubt must have hurt. A low warning snarl escaped her lips as he left the room, and she wanted nothing more than to go after him. She didn't, though, because her concern for Gina was far greater than her anger at Hokee. This was when Emerald noticed the can of Pam which Gina removed from the stove before Emerald got the chance to.
The she-wolf was about to ask Gina about her hand when of course Gina noticed the blood on the wolf girl's hand. With a small grimace, Emerald wished that she had washed it off before Gina had gotten over there. The redhead hated it when other people worried about her too much.
"He didn't nail me as much as he reopened a wound on my back: burning tree fell on top of me while I was hunting. Burned my back, it just reopened up when he hit it, but I'm fine!" Emerald reassured, trying her best to be as reassuring as possible but failing miserably to do so. Her eyes showed more concern for the other girl than herself, even if the wound was minor.
"Is your hand okay? The pan was kinda heavy and it was hot. I should punched it away or something,” Emerald explained, feeling sort of bad for not being able to defend Gina from Hokee's pan attack. She really despised that dreadlocked boy with every fiber of her being and sort of hoped he got hit by a bus.
The she-wolf touched her back again and unfortunately came back with a blood covered, sticky hand and a wince. The blood had partially soaked through the blue t-shirt she was wearing. The wolf girl winced, the pain now starting to kick in. Her pain tolerance only took her so far; It didn't take her far enough to be able to ignore a reopened burn wound. The day before was still burned in her back and her mind as well. She couldn't help remembering that she could have saved those people if she had just run faster. If there was one thing she knew, it was that she would get the guy that did this, one way or another.
"Okay... maybe It hurts a little," The wolf girl admitted, her voice carrying a bit of pain it it as she wiped the blood on her pants.

>> "He didn't nail me as much as he reopened a wound on my back: burning tree fell on top of me while I was hunting. Burned my back, it just reopened up when he hit it, but I'm fine!"
Gina frowned, blatantly and thoroughly unconvinced. She was more concerned with Gina, Gina was more concerned for her… and neither seemed to think much about their own injuries.
“You were hit, by a burning tree,” Gina reiterated slowly, “But you were fine?”
She sounded seriously skeptical.
>> "Is your hand okay? The pan was kinda heavy and it was hot. I should punched it away or something,”
“A little burned, a little sore, but my skins’ really quite tough,” Gina confessed. Nothing that a little visit to the DocProf couldn’t help. And it wasn't nearly as bad as getting hit by a whole damn tree. Emerald surveyed her own wounds, and it came out with blood.
>> "Okay... maybe It hurts a little."
“Come with me,” Gina instructed, looping her arm through Emerald’s and gently guiding her forward, “We’re going to pay DocProf a visit.”
And it was not a request, Emerald could not contend with her. They both were going to go see DocProf, whether Emerald wanted to or not.
