((OOC: All Shin and Aurum parts written by me!))
The glass fogged. He stared at it like a child stares through the glass of a pet store window. It was something wonderful. Something he wanted. But even worse... so were all the other ones.
"You decide yet?" Aurum asked. His back was against the wall of the store. His arms were crossed. He was watching his Asian friend gawping from 10 feet.
The Asian didn't shake his head. His eyes were fixated on one of the rings through the breath-fogged glass.
Maybe that one?
But no.
That one?
No.
That...? No.
His eyes lit up. "That one!"
Aurum's back pulled away from the wall as he moved forward, to rejoin his friend and eye the girly jewelry.
The woman behind the counter was freed from the spell. She had been transfixed. Never before had she had such an enthusiastic customer. Sure, plenty were excited! But not like a kid in a candy--.. no. That was the wrong metaphor. Not candy shop. Pet shop. Looking at... arf arf... rings. Yes, she'd been floored by his enthusiasm. And now...? "You found one you like?" She beamed.
Aurum shifted a glance her way. Crossed his arms again. Waited on Shin.
Shin's head bobbed in true bobble head fashion. He pointed at the ring in the case.
"That one, please! To go!"
He'd been saving up for an awful long time for this. Cracked his piggy bank something fierce. But. It'd be worth it.
The lady nodded happily. "Should I set you up with a bow?"
