The X-men run missions and work together with the NYPD, striving to maintain a peaceful balance between humans and mutants. When it comes to a fight, they won't back down from protecting those who need their help.
Haven presents itself as a humanitarian organization for activists, leaders, and high society, yet mutants are the secret leaders working to protect and serve their kind. Behind the scenes they bring their goals into reality.
From the time when mutants became known to the world, SUPER was founded as a black-ops division of the CIA in an attempt to classify, observe, and learn more about this new and rising threat.
The Syndicate works to help bring mutantkind to the forefront of the world. They work from the shadows, a beacon of hope for mutants, but a bane to mankind. With their guiding hand, humanity will finally find extinction.
Since the existence of mutants was first revealed in the nineties, the world has become a changed place. Whether they're genetic misfits or the next stage in humanity's evolution, there's no denying their growing numbers, especially in hubs like New York City. The NYPD has a division devoted to mutant related crimes. Super-powered vigilantes help to maintain the peace. Those who style themselves as Homo Superior work to tear society apart for rebuilding in their own image.

“NO! NO! Please… Someone Help me PLEASE!!..... NOOO!!” He screams filled the cold night air as Warren raised the bloody pistol again and slammed it into the soft tissue at the side of her the skull. A bloody thud silenced her screams; another whack caused a slight splashing sound. His fury filled eyes eased slightly as he looked down at her limp form.
‘Is she…’ Warren asked himself staring down at her as he backed away slowly. The red fluid from her skull flowed down her body soaking her blue uniform shirt, coating her New York police badge. Warren kicked her foot with his leg, she didn’t respond. He reached for her neck to check her pulse, but remembered he would leave finger prints. Another kick to her leg, still nothing.
“Oh shit she’s dead!” He exclaimed a bit louder his blood soaked hands rising to rest on top his head, his mind thinking of a way to get out of this mess. It had all been an accident really. Warren was in need of cash and had snatched a purse. Natural she saw the crime and unbeknownst to Warren had followed him here to this alleyway. She surprised him, he reacted. And now he was a cop killer. He reached down pulling her gloves carefully out of her pocket. They needed to get out of this alley and fast. Looking around Warren spotted an old abandoned row house.
‘If I could just drag the body over there’.
Circling around her he gripped the woman beneath her arms and proceeded to walk backwards towards the building. Suddenly the woman eyes shot open and she screamed, hands reaching up to begin clawing and scratching at Warren’s face. He screamed before dropping her, his hand drawing that fire arm, three shots rang out as she fell motionless again, this time dead for certain. He fell back to catch his breath, realizing that the commotion would draw attention soon, even in the heart of the inner city. He needed to get out of this alleyway and into that building. Bending down he reached beneath her arms again. Then a sound in the alley before him, he waited then heard nothing. Figuring panic and fear was getting best of him he took it off as nothing… 'Or was it..'

His eyes maintained their lock on that dark alley still unsure whether or not he was alone at this time. He needed no witnesses to this act especially human ones at that. The static relay of her radio snatching his attention back to her form, he didn’t know much about call signs but he had a gut feeling that they were looking for her. “Unit 256 come in…..”
*crackle* static * Crackle*
“Unit 256 again what’s your twenty, please report…”
*static*crackle*
‘Did she call out before she made the approach, did the radio send out a GPS signal of their location?’ Warren’s head flooded with these thoughts, a small film of sweat starting to layer on his forehead, he was getting nervous, and he should just run. The howl of police sirens filled the air, they weren’t close by still the fact that he could hear them meant they were in the area.
“Unit 256 be advised, we are dispatching units to you location, do you 10-4?” *Static *crackle* “All units in sector 20 be advised, we’ve lost radio con tact with..”
*click*
Warren turned the radio off he couldn’t think with that damn lady talking all the time. He heard another sound and grabbed for the bloody cops uniform dragging her closer and closer to the building, he cared nothing for the trail he left behind, or the amount of forensic evidence her body held beneath her nails from clawing her face. Right now he needed to get of the open.
Aura had watched the act of violence with a smile. It was a cop after all not her favored prey but an evil humans employed. Still they fought back and often died bravely though Aura had to question why the city never seemed to run out of this type of human. She froze when Warren looked her way and watched as he began to drag the body away, to hide the evidence. He was cleaner then she was, that was for sure, Aura rarely moved bodies from where they fell. Lori would like Warren, and he seemed to have a personality type she liked more each time she saw him.
Aura heard a loud crack, as in Aura spike on the heel of her foot crushed the radio into oblivion, a moment later the Spike deformed and flowed back into her Aura though she knew Warren had to of seen her now, well heard her. The cops were on their way though and Aura knew they would love to capture her and cage her before finally killing her like some dumb dog. Aura walked closer prepared to help Warren out.
"Need help?" she asked moving to help him with the body, she could do little about the blood, but Aura knew the area well and could open many locks. "You do this often?" she asked curiously, in a tone that could have been used to ask for about ice cream. Aura was unbotherd by the corpse any more then she would have been a deer. "Any plans? she asked wanting to get onto the same page as him, after all the cops tended to be more responsive when their own died.

A flash of pink caught his attention long before the crushing of the radio. Warren lacked super speed in his arms but as fast as that weapon was drawn one wouldn’t be so sure. By the time his sight lined up with his unannounced guest he sighed in deep relief. >>“Need help?”<< “Aura….” He spoke barely above a whisper but loud enough that she could hear. He knew of her sexual orientation but hell she was still stunningly attractive, especially when surrounded by that mutation of hers. He started to explain how it was an accident, but realized that most likely she didn’t care and he should just appreciate that she was here to help. Tucking his pistol back into his pants her nodded in response to her question. >>”You do this often?”<< She asked him. He wasn’t sure if she was being serious. “Kill cops or hiding dead bodies? Because it all depends on the day of the week.”
Replying in a joking manner, in an attempt to calm his nerve, yes he was nerve and with good reasons. Let consider the punishment for murder, and then add that it was a cop. So yeah this was little steeper than what he was used to.
>>”Any plans? ”<< He looked her dead in the eyes before speaking his reply. “Hell yea, get the heck out of here before her buddies arrive. Now grab her legs and help me lift. On the count of...”
His voice trailed off as he saw the familiar cherry and berry colors of police light bars flashing around the corners of the alleyways. They were definitely running out of time. Then slam or a car door followed by the patter of boots on concrete. Warren’s eyes turned to the direction from which Aura had appeared, eyes widening at the site of another uniformed patrol officer.
Apparently the officer was just as surprised, his mouth was ajar as he started at the bloody scene, eventually training of took logic and he reached for his pistol with one hand and his radio with the other. “Dispatch I got two unknown subjects, officer down send immediate back up…! Freeze don't move!"
Then fear seemed to grip his soul as he pulled his weapon and pointed it at Aura.
“IT”s Aura Its Aura send immediate MRC support!!! Warren felt the man had said enough as the sounds of siren wailing begun to increase in volume around the block, in an instant he was on the man, right hand grabbing the man’s right wrist. Waren pivoted to his left, sending his heel square into the man’s sternum at 50 mph, the force enough to crush the mans sternum and shatter various connecting ribs. Still holding the man’s arm he watched as he fell face forward onto the cold pavement. Gurgling as he attempted to gain his breath. He would drown in his own blood, no longer a concern.
“We need to get back to the Sanctuary…” He picked up the police radio and listened to the calls coming in, there would be sending twenty units, and heavily armed MRC support units were in route. Taking the pistol and radio he looked to Aura.
"yea me to, u clean up better" she said honestly waiving a hand toward the body, Warren was carrying. She usually left the body's where they fell moving them only if she felt the need to carefully extract a bone. This was not a case where she would have time for that she knew. This was a cop and that normally meant back up would come once they noticed their missing heard member. Aura wanted to go unnoticed in the sense of this, after all she had not even had the pleasure of the kill.
It turned out their plan's would not get off the ground. An officer appeared as f by magic and even he seemed confused, until his eyes rested on her. The moment she was seen the man called for MRC support which was no surprise, after all she had chewed through a good number of police since she arrived, she was more amazed the man never shot at her. Maybe it was because he had heard the folly of the action before or because Warren moved so fast, but either way the man would not bother them again.
"Very nice, but no i can't hit much with those thing's. Either way we should try and get away" She said honestly. She had few reservations about carving a line through the police and the MRC as well, but Lori did want her to have any more TV air time, however it looked like that was not to be avoided today. Aura's aura took on a much more angled appearance to it so that it was hard to find a flat surface that extended more then an inch or so.
"Leave the body" she said with a devious grin and walked up beside Warren even as her hand grabbed a silver cylinder. Her right hand formed a dagger like blade and Aura made a quick cut and slipped the cylinder in, humming gently over the gurgling. Aura finished the prep, the pipe bomb would go off when the body was moved. Aura had never tried it before but she knew how to rig an explosive. "let's go, they won't play nicely, now that they know im here" she said standing up, flicking the blood to the ground from her Aura. Aura waived to Warren and moced down the alleyway, she knew them extremely well.

His eyes studied her carefully as she went through the motions with the cyclinder. An approving grin appearing on his face as he finally caught on to what she was rigging up. “And your good with explosives. I think I’m in love.” He stated jokingly as he checked the clips in both pistols. By now the sounds of screeching brakes could be heard outside of the alleyway. Warren didn’t know much about Aura’s reputation with the cops but they certainly seemed to be high cautious in their dealing with her.
*static crackle static* “I want five men at ever exit and entrance out of this alleyway. NO units I repeat No units are to Enter the alley way until I give the …”[/b] *Crackle Static Crackle* “Signal Helio -1 and give me some damn air visual…”[/b] “I can take to the roof, while cut through the house and draw their fire, I’ll flank them from the sides and we can handle it from there?” He wasn’t a gloried strategist but it was a better plan then what they had right now. Anything was better than sitting in one spot while waves of police came rushing in from all sides, and this plan would atleast get them out of the alley. The radio erupted with various calls of units checking in and status updates of the situation. But one transmission caught Warren’s attention.
*Static * “Prep the gass bombs and send in entry team one and three. I don’t want them getting into the streets.” He shot Aura a sharp look, a ‘….we better get the fludge outta of here now!” Kinda of look.
Fantastic, Lori was going to have Aura stuffed and served as a dinner for this and it was not even her fault this time. "Sound's like a plan, i can hold them until then" she Said with a smile. She was confident the Humans would not win, she had no idea how many were there, but knew she would either carve a path to freedom, or die trying, she cared not which. Warren Flanking them might work to, they were scared of her she knew, and might not even consider the man until it was to late.
Upon hearing the word gas, several japanese swear words exited her mouth. "well that Leaves one option" Aura said. Even if they took to the roof it was likely a helicopter was already there. They had to break through, Aura considered where they were in the Alley and turned to the shortest Route to where the police would be, Aura charged forward, the weapon's on her right wrist grew, forming around her arm and out eight inches, her rarely used Aura chainsaw. It was harder to use then other weapons, as she had to keep the chain part moving, but it was effective.
Aura saw the police while they were still prepping their bomb, they were in in heavy bullet proof vests and had brought rifles instead of hand guns. Th first few rifle shots deflected from Aura's aura. Then with a single swing of her weapon the officer prepping the gas bomb dropped over the case that held them. Aura knew the man was dead without needing to look, it was going to be a closed casket funeral. Her Second swing knocked a rifle from the hands of an officer. They had over looked one thing, the rifles while providing power, were useless at point blank.
He could hear the chaos and havoc from around the corner once Aura wen to action. Tightening his face Warren took a deep breath, charging that energy through his legs he ran up the wall and leapt onto the fire escape. His parkour making the climb quite easy. From the roof top he watched the violent dance that was Aura. Blood flew from the unit as they desperately tried to contain the beast that she was. Their cries and screams adding soundtrack to the lovely destruction. Leaping from the roof he indeed managed to get behind the second oncoming wave of police. They were oblivious to his presence, the amount of sheer attention they put into Aura would be their down fall. Warren could feel something inside of him stir as he approach an officer who was lagging behind. Not use to carrying all his equipment.
“Need some help?” He asked to novice uniformed officer, who failed to even look up before handing an assault rifle with various attachments. “ Yeah man thank-“ The futuristic sound of the rounds traveling through the silencer filled the air as Warren fired into the man’s helmet at point blank. Decimating the equipment and anything it was meant to protect. Straping the large rife across his chest he approached another group of officers readying a bazooka?
“Aww hell no!” He cried before opening fire on the crowd. Sure they were out gunned and the officers wore armor. But nothing is bullet proof at close range.
Warren collected the fallen officer ammo and guns, stopping he eyes the readied bazooka. ‘Hmmmm…’ ’ He looked towards Aura, she was handling her fight quite well. But the sound of the helicopter arriving drew him from his admiration. Flying right over him the copter took position over Aura and the crowd of officers. *Helio one open fire!* Warren heard over a radio. * But sir the other Offi-* *I said open fire on Aura before she kills us all!* Warren was pushed forward as the rocket was fired from the bazooka, it’s aim settled on the helicopter. If they were going to fire they wouldn’t get the chance now. But Warren now was the time to make the escape. Grabbing a bullet proof vest and helmet from a Humvee he sped onto the battlefield where Aura was hoping to snatch her up and get out of here before the city got serious. “Aura we’re leaving!!” He yelled as he accelerated towards her at 90 mph, arms held out in a cradle fashion. Hopefully he won't run her over.
It was quick bloody work, but Aura's blades danced, in quick violent strokes. Her SMile, revealed a glee, a sense of living within her nothing else could. She loved this feeling, this ever fleeting feeling. She almost did not realize more officers had arrived and their was even a helicopter she could hear. She felt a few more bullets strike her, one failed to glance off and Aura took the full force of it, she felt a bi of her Aura diminish a bit, but she Simply smiled knocking the hand gun away from a man not quite dead yet. She admonished herself for the inefficiency.
Aura saw what looked like a very big gun pointed at her. She was not sure what it was but had a feeling it would not be good. Somthing that size would never deflect and could do serious damage. She smiled as she looked over and saw Warren remedy the issue. Aura was glad, in meant a lot in her eyes that he had not simply left. Annoying as the bullets were Aura knew each one was taking wisps of her Aura with it. If the rate contuned they could overwhelm her.
Aura reformed one of her swords, into an Axe and brought it down on a female officer and Aura knew this was not going to look good on the news. She saw the Humvee moving and noted it was moving very quickly. Aura jumped aiming for Warrrens arm's as she did, her aura quickly began to smooth out around her, as well as soften it as much as she could, trying to minimize the impact she would hit warren with. She felt a rifle bullet strike the back of her leg and felt her Aura fade a bit further. "I like you more and more" she said to him with a wild smile.

Warren grinned as she landed into his arms, the hail of gun fire and bullets whizzing by as he ducked and dodged into another alleyway. With the air support down Warren knew that there were few things they had that could keep up with him and he planned to take advantage of those precious minutes.
>> “I like you more and more..”<< His quickly becoming new best friend said as they made a dash into cover. “You should really get to know me then.” He replied as he set her down in the alley. “If you climb on my back I can get us to the Sanctuary within a few minutes. We should do it now since they got no birds in the sky ya know.”
Turning his back to her he knealt down slightly, remember to hang on I can get above one-twenty with a person on my back.”
Aura had no idea how fast 120 was, however she knew their situation was going to be getting far worse. Even humans could think well enough to regroup and bring adequate weapons. Aura hid it well but bullets would take their toll eventually, every strike wisped a bit of her Aura away. Aura was good at hiding the weakness however and for the most part bullets that deflected drained way less energy then those that really hit.
Aura climbed on his back without comment as she reached her hand's around him, they did not quite touch but Aura connected her hands with a length of aura from finger to finger. She Liked warren, so far he had proven to have deposition for humanity that was not unlike he town. Weather that was because of mutant rights or not she could not say. She would have time to ask more about it later she guessed.
"get us back to Sanctuary and we might well get to know each other better yet" she said unaware that her idea of getting to know him and his might be quite different. Aura was impressed with Warren and with a few questions was considering making him an offer she made to few people. Sh thickened her Aura on her back, to give them some added protection in their escape. Thsi would be a very new experince for sure.
