The X-men run missions and work together with the NYPD, striving to maintain a peaceful balance between humans and mutants. When it comes to a fight, they won't back down from protecting those who need their help.
Haven presents itself as a humanitarian organization for activists, leaders, and high society, yet mutants are the secret leaders working to protect and serve their kind. Behind the scenes they bring their goals into reality.
From the time when mutants became known to the world, SUPER was founded as a black-ops division of the CIA in an attempt to classify, observe, and learn more about this new and rising threat.
The Syndicate works to help bring mutantkind to the forefront of the world. They work from the shadows, a beacon of hope for mutants, but a bane to mankind. With their guiding hand, humanity will finally find extinction.
Since the existence of mutants was first revealed in the nineties, the world has become a changed place. Whether they're genetic misfits or the next stage in humanity's evolution, there's no denying their growing numbers, especially in hubs like New York City. The NYPD has a division devoted to mutant related crimes. Super-powered vigilantes help to maintain the peace. Those who style themselves as Homo Superior work to tear society apart for rebuilding in their own image.

She considered the options both presented and discarded one right away. The three of them needed to stay together. Their was strength in numbers."A car then, it will be safer together and i don't think sticking him to the wall will help. We can dance later boys for now..." she said as she moved down the alleyway. She waived for both of them to follow, their mild advances lost on Aura. "I don't hurt mutants unless i have to and even then i avoid killing or maiming"" She said though she left out the part then if ordered to she would do anything. Her Aura faded away to nothing, simply fading from view. As Long as this guy could drive, they would be fine, Aura looked over the street and saw several cars, including a rather expensive looking cherry red Ford Mustang.
Aura had little knowledge of car value and so the Mustang being the first one she saw walked toward it and tried to open the handle, it was locked, looking around to make sure no one was looking, Aura formed a sharp spike from her finger, and jabbed it forward, her aura punched through soft metal, breaking the lock, her second try to open the door worked better and she looked back at the other two. SHe could get into a car with little issue, starting it and driving were her issues.
Hopefully a few more Humans would now think twice before considering laying a finger on a human. Once in the car and it was started Aura from the back seat would give directions To sanctuary. "As you can probably tell, i can form my Aura into weapon's or a shield against incoming attacks, and you two?" She asked pleasantly. SHe loved to see and hear about others mutant powers, it was simply fascinating to her how many different powers were out there.

Warren nudged the unknown man slightly with his elbow as they followed the slim yet deadly female. Warren may not trust him or know more about him beside he can stick people to walls, but his attitude and mouth were both entertaining. Besides he was tired of running around this city without friends.
She led them through the alleyways before coming up on the car. It took her only seconds to get into the vehicle, admiring the usefulness of her mutation Warren could only think how much fun and money could be had with your own personal Swiss army knife. Within a few more moments they were in with Warren sitting in the passenger seat.
“Shot gun!” He called as he buckled his seat belt, turning to wink at Aura once more before responding to her question.
“Body is able to move and react at high speeds. What about you blondie, what makes you special?” Asking the man who would soon fill the driver seat. "Or do you just pin people to walls?"
Aura was leading the trio, which he was completely fine with, he liked a strong woman and this one had that 'Do what I say or I'll hurt you' vibe to her. So he thought it was best not to make waves just yet. "That's good to know, the whole avoidance of killing or maiming thing. I'll keep it in mind for later if I ever really piss you off.. y'know, so I know how much I can get away with before I actually have to start running for my life." Hands in his pockets as he followed Aura around the corner to find a car she wanted, smirking at the man who had nudged him along the way. This woman had some damn fine taste in vehicles, and the ease it took her to pop through the like the way she did? She could be handy. "Sorry, I tend to talk alot when I'm nervous. Or bored. Or when I've had too much sugar. Or just in general, really." Shooting off in rapid fire as he slid sideways into the driver's seat, his upper body wedged beneath the stearing collumn to fiddle with the wires. A small zotz! of electricity and he came back up for air with the engine rumbling to life. It would have been racist if he had offered to let the blackguy try to hotwire it first, wouldn't it? Yeah, that's what he thought. "And ceilings, I can do ceilings too.. can't do floors, though. Hm." Looking oddly confused at that fact before he just shrugged and smiled at them. "Which way we going?" Tucking an arm behind the passanger's seat to turn his body, smiling all the wider at Aura as she played navigator.
Aura Slid Into the back, the car door would close easily enough, but the lock was shot. "Both interesting powers she siad assuming the last thing brody said was about his powers. It did not seem like a direct answer but the man seemed nervous. Aura had no idea why, though eventually reasoned it might be because the cops could be after them. Cops could be dangerous, luckily not so much to Aura herself, who could deflect them for a time.
As Aura pointed out the directions, provided nothing happened they would make good time to Sanctuary. The golden doors of the mansion stood out easily. "welcome to sanctuary" she said and then pointed brody on in a way that would bring them into the Mansions good sized Garage area. Their were many Black vans in the garage as well most unmarked.
"Sanctuary provides shelter and food to all mutants who wish to stay here regardless of your background" she explained sounding a little more cheerful. She was happy to be win in the walls of her home. "their are nbo humans allowed in sanctuary she said happily, as if their were no better bews.

Warren admired the golden doors as the reached their destination. He had heard of this place through the streets and knew most of the wanted mutants in the city resided here. A huge upgrade from the vacant apartments in Brooklyn he often stayed in.
‘A place like this would be very beneficial to right minded person, and someones got to pay for all this.’ He thought to himself quite impressed with the set up so far, and they weren't even inside yet. Still he felt the question should be raised.
“So who or what funds a place like this Aura, if you don’t mind my asking.” Warren stated, opening his door so he could exit the vehicle. It wasn’t that he was being nosey, but Warren was smart and a place like this would needs funds to operate independently without human or legal interference. And if there was money to be gained he wanted in.
“I mean something got to keep the light on.” Attempting to force the issue a bit more, his gaze would fall over to the still unknown man. A fact that was now present on his mind.
“You know besides Aura both of us have failedto introduce ourselves. I’m Warren.” Looking to the other guy with his hand extended.
Driving under Aura's directionss - going the speed limit, signalling every time he turned or changed lanes. After where they had just come from, in a stolen car no less, it was best to avoid any extra attention from damn near everybody, he figured. When they drove up on the mansion he finally realized what Aura had meant earlier - not a sanctuary, THE Sanctuary. So many things going on in your head at once and you're bound to miss a few details here and there.
Once out of the car he took a moment to look up and around at the grounds. He could see himself setting up in a place like this. Granted, at the same time he could see himself getting tossed out on his ass by a mob of angry residents. Both could be fun. Listening between Aura and Warren he offered the man a smile when he made the first move on introductions. "Yeah, must've forgotten in all the excitement" Forgotten, deliberately misheld; whichever. Taking Warren's hand in an enthusiastic handshake he gave his own name finally. "Brody, Hi." Looking secondly to Aura with an offer of his hand. Looking hopeful he won't be pulling back a bloody stump, even though she was beginning to seem less psychotic than her reputation had initially lead him to believe. Maybe she just likes him enough to tolerate him? If only.
"Sooo.. we invited in, just like that? No secret handshake we need to learn or humiliating hazing we have to go through?" Warren had already started to ask the really important questions which left Brody with the task of making the silly jokes. It was turning out to be a good partnership already. "Anybody we should watch out for while we're here; an overly protective boyfriend, maybe?" How he's survived this long with such a lack of subtlety and tact is anybody's guess.
"Sanctuary is funded by Faust pharmaceuticals, it is through them Sanctuary provides free room and board and food to it's residents. I have no idea why they do, only that they do so she said easily. It was not the entire truth, she knew the CEO and her current leader, Lori quite well. "It has been my home, for a few years now she said with a smile as she removed herself from the car. The golden doors were beautiful every time she saw them.
"Sanctuary accepts all mutants who come to it's doors regardless of reputation or criminal acts. It's a human free environment where we are free to use our abilities" she said with pride and a smile. Aura did enjoy displaying her Aura in plain veiw where she could. As they approached the golden doors, and her hand reached for the door handle, Aura recalled Brody's other comment.
Opening the door, Aura turned and smiled. "I'm into woman, and no, no overly protective girl friend either" She said as she slipped incide and waited for the others. At the far end was woman working at a desk, a woman whose workload never seemed to cease, Lisa, Sanctuary secretary. Various seating area's were spread through the room, and mutants seemd to wonde rin and out freely.

He grinned nodding his head slightly as he listened to Aura’s word, shaking his head slightly. It was a rehearsed response the type someone would tell someone who needed to mind their business without sounding rude . ‘She’s good, although I should’ve expected nothing less from the great Aura.’
Warren thought to himself, he had been in his line of work for a while and has learned to read the small signs when someone was nothing telling the truth or whole truth. But that was fine by him. Who couldn’t respect a decision like that after all it wasn’t any of his business.
“I think that’s great, but the people here aren’t worried about Faust asking, or thanking something in return. I mean nothing is free in this world…” His eyes fell on to Aura as she replied to Brody’s comment. A grin spreading across his face.
‘Sounds like my type of girl.’ He thought to himself as he followed her through the golden doors, eyes widening with the first sights of the place he would hopefully call home. If everything Aura said was true he would need to establish himself immediately. Places like this always had a hierarchy and he wasn’t about to take crap from anyone if he didn’t have to.
"Yo, Brody seems like you’re not cute enough to be her girlfriend.” Laughing slightly before approaching the registration table. “Peace ,Warren..”
He was listening as he looked around - up to the ceiling, over the walls, around at anybody else walking around. He just made looking absolutely oblivous easy. But it was a lot of hard work! Really, it was. He snapped back to Aura when she spoke to him again, looking keenly interested in every word that came out of her mouth. 'She's into women?' That'd be his luck. But still he smiled back at her just the same. "Whattaya know, I'm into women too.. we've got so much in common already"
Warren's comment on it got a quick snort, and a not so well thought out retort. "I'm plenty cute" Stopping then to think if he had really wanted to say such a thing to another guy - or anyone at all. For a second his eyes looked upwards, working back and forth slowly as though he were in deep contemplation over it. "Yeah"
Watching as Warren headed off now towards the table with the other lady sitting on the otherside of it, actually curious about what was going on over there with them. "Is this an open invitation kind of thing?" Tossing another question at Aura again. "I may need a little time to think this over.. not that your setup here isn't great and all.. I don't usually like to tie myself down with a lot of people keeping tabs on me.. and as free as you say this place is, me coming and going as I please, there's got to be someone keeping an eye on all of it." His eyes started to roam around again. "But you never know how things will turn out.. "
"been here three years and no ones asked me for anything, though i do enjoy helping out she said evenly. It was true, she just wouldn't mention that helping out entailed working for the order. "The place is basically a homeless shelter, some people stay for a day and some for years. To many the concept of a human free environment is appealing and they stay others simply have no where else. Either way the population of sanctuary changes all the time. Mutants are asked to show their powers and fill out a paper asking for name and mutation. she said honestly and with pride.
"Sanctuary houses all ages and and people of various levels of control over their powers. For example an 11 year old blew up the kitchen awhile back and i have been known to on ocasstion level the furniture in my room in flashbacks from the old days" she said considering just a few of the things she had seen happon in this place. In was chaos some days and eerily quite other, and still others just went up with a boom.
To Brody she smiled and nodded. "Any mutant is welcome at any time, even if you stay only sporadicly it is acceptable. I just spent a few months in japan for example" she said honestly, leaving out only why she had ended up in japan. "their is no rush to decide to stay or go, i can show you much more if you like" she said honestly. Sanctuary had a lot to offer she felt.

Aura seemed to roll this stuf off her tongue like an accomplish real estate agent, she true was gifted at selling this place.
‘Or maybe she really did enjoy it here that much?’ That thought crossing Warren’s mind as he continued to fill out the registration form. He could perfectly understand Brody’s hesitance. Nothing was free in this life and no one just invest in something without getting a profit out of it in some way shape of form. But for Warren the choice was simple, no cops allowed. That meant no matter what the crime he would be able to avoid the punishment. Yea, this place was going to be great.
>>"Sanctuary houses all ages and people of various levels of control over their powers. For example an 11 year old blew up the kitchen awhile back and i have been known to on ocasstion level the furniture in my room in flashbacks from the old days" <<
“Old days huh? Maybe one day we can sit down and talk about it.” Winking real corny and slow at her. He knew he wasn’t her type but eh, why not. It wasn’t likey they would meet again, and for now it was his only entertainment. >>"Any mutant is welcome at any time, even if you stay only sporadicly it is acceptable. “I think a tour would be nice what do you say you wanna to take a tour, buddy?”
He walked over to Brody and leaned in a just a little.
“Think about it man, a place away from cops! Forget the humans but safe haven from the cops. With our powers we could hit one bank a month.” He leaned in just a bit more.
“And if there is one hot psyco babe in this place, theres got to be more…”
He stepped back and smiled that charming yet cocky smile at Aura. “I’m down for a tour!”
Aura really did know how to sell this place. If he hadn't seen her out trying to carve people up not so long ago he may have infact felt like he could trust her with how personable she becomes on the subject of 'mutants helping mutants.' Warren's pitch was by far less subtle; but nobody in Brody's situation could deny how alluring it sounded. All the chaos and mayhem they could cause and nobody could do squat to stop them? That sounded good. Putting people just like himself in their place when they took it too far? Even better. Anything to keep himself amused, really. That's what most of his life boiled down to lately - what could he do to keep himself entertained.
Raising a single eyebrow at Warren's close in, almost over the top leaning, clearly putting in serious consideration of what was being said. "Alright, sign me up too. For a tour, I mean. Still on the fence about full on membership in this hive of villainy you've got going." It couldn't hurt to get the lay out of the place - they may infact have something that'll change his mind, and knowing where everything is can help with robbing them all blind. Oh, the temptation. Just to see if he could get away with it.
"I would gladly tell my tale, however i must warn you it is a rather violent story" she said honestly. Aura did not mind sharing her past with others because she liked to hear about others pasts. The fact that hers was quite less unpleasant then many others, was a different story entirely. Aura had heard many tales living here at sanctuary. "Some nights i can steal hear the gunfire and screaming" she said shaking her head a moment.
"A tour however i can certainly do, i know this place like the back of my hand" she said which was entirely true. She knew more then the average sanctuary resident actually, far more. These two seemed to think Sanctuary however was a personal sanctuary and what was worse they were fools. The thought surprised her however, had she no thought like these two when she arrived? She had been been raised in a forest though, she knew not these two's excuse. f700c5]"You are aware Law enforcement had put together a Unit known as the MRC or mutant related crimes division, a group of Mutants including one who can nullify other mutants powers" she said with a shrug, what they did with that information was their business. "Don't get me wrong, i have hit a bank or two before, im just saying it's best not to hit the radar" she said never quite understanding what radar itself was but knowing the concept of the saying.
"I am not psycho however their are many woman here" she said with a smile. As if on Cue a girl whose mutant power had given her a shape like a praying mantis walked by and left out the front door. She waived for the two of them to follow and they took a corridor which seemed to be lined with many doors. They stopped at one whose door was open and the contents empty of personal touches. "Each room is like this, how you choose to decorate or do with it is up you, I Like to decoarte with bone" Aura said cheerfully.
