The X-men run missions and work together with the NYPD, striving to maintain a peaceful balance between humans and mutants. When it comes to a fight, they won't back down from protecting those who need their help.
Haven presents itself as a humanitarian organization for activists, leaders, and high society, yet mutants are the secret leaders working to protect and serve their kind. Behind the scenes they bring their goals into reality.
From the time when mutants became known to the world, SUPER was founded as a black-ops division of the CIA in an attempt to classify, observe, and learn more about this new and rising threat.
The Syndicate works to help bring mutantkind to the forefront of the world. They work from the shadows, a beacon of hope for mutants, but a bane to mankind. With their guiding hand, humanity will finally find extinction.
Since the existence of mutants was first revealed in the nineties, the world has become a changed place. Whether they're genetic misfits or the next stage in humanity's evolution, there's no denying their growing numbers, especially in hubs like New York City. The NYPD has a division devoted to mutant related crimes. Super-powered vigilantes help to maintain the peace. Those who style themselves as Homo Superior work to tear society apart for rebuilding in their own image.

Shin wasted no time in destroying as many zombies as he could shoot shards at and Raina felt bad for the guy having to kill his own dog. But there was no more room for feelings with something like this. Jumping beside him she iced two zombies feet to the floor and with one quick move of her tritant sliced off their heads. "geesh." she said "I never made this much use of this thing before." she turned it over in her hands and waved to the others "let's move and get in here before they come back!"
ooc: sorry, short... I didn't wanna move it along too quickly but inside will just be typical war room stuff so anyone can steer us in!
It was something like this: when someone asks ‘who the heck are you?’ you expect to get a few names out of it. Of course, that is if there isn’t some zombie apocalypse going on and people decide to act… different.
Alexandra narrowed her eyes, unsatisfied with the answer. Best friends, this woman said. Alexandra raised her eyebrow. Temporary allies certainly sounded better. Disposable temporary allies, sounded even better.
Looking at the bag the woman had thrown at her she bit her lip. Guns sounded attractive when zombies were involved, but she wasn’t trained to use any of them. Sure, pull the trigger but was everything as easy as it looked? Mean while, her sword proved quite good, along with the use of her powers. Blue eyes sparkled in the night as she threw a look to the gate. If these two had come to the mansion then the city wasn’t safe either. She sighed, and turned back to her new buddies, a hand on her hip, the second still holding the blade.
“Hmmm, guns look yummy right now but I never used one.” she finally spoke, then her eyes shifted to her blade as her hand raised it in front of her. Blue eyes followed the contours and she gave a small smile as metal began to move, in seconds forming a really long double sword.
While thinking that the training sessions she had to learn long range combat were probably the best idea ever, she looked back at the female then moved on to the male. “Okay, seeing you here makes me think that the city is also filthy brain eating scum, right? Please, correct me if I’m wrong.” She threw a quick glance at the mansion who seemed to be swallowed by the darkness now and wondered if anyone was alive there. “But if I’m not, we need a way to get the heck out of here. As far as I know, the Mansion has a Jet. We get to it, we’re saved. ”
Her eyes moved again from the man to the woman trying to guess their reactions. “So, shall we?” Her sword pointed to the dark mansion entrance, her eyes slightly shifting to it as well.
“Mrrrr…”
She sighed and shook her head. Why was this starting to look more and more like some stupid movie? Alexandra took a step back, her body already alerted and in fighting mode. “But first, a healthy dose of killing.” she muttered completely unhappy, as the sound got closer and closer. More bad news: it sounded like that thing had called friends.
"If Central Park's any indication," Lenna cut in, taking over for The Ranger. "We're looking at something full-scale and threatening. Hordes of swaggering flesh-eaters... shame you don't know how to use a sub-machine gun. A little back-up spray-and-pray would've been a godsend. Ah well." The corners of her lips turned upwards in a devilish smirk. "I'm sure I can cover for you both.” Her eyes slid to the brunette’s S&W and she shook her head. “Though with the quality of the hordes these days, I don’t think they’ll stand much of a chance.” Those guns did, as he so-cleanly noted, explode heads real well. Apparently, special operators in the military got to take home their toys with them. A groan from beyond their position caught her attention, and she jerked a handgun from a holster at her side and trained it that way.
They shambled out of the shadows, a group of ten. Arms swung. Flesh hung. Matted yellow strands clung by threads amid the roughly-hewn texture of their skeletal faces. Those blank hollowed voids of eyes made her wonder how those soulless monsters saw, but the way they clawed at the air in front of their faces took precedence over thoughtful observations.
“Looks like those toys of yours will get a fair test sooner than we thought.” Lenna muttered as her eyes narrowed down the sight of her pistol. “A real true corpse corps… time to break up their ranks.” Her trigger finger bore down. The lead zombie’s head exploded in a ping of red. The two flanking him on his side opened gaping mouths in a dual roar and charged forward to fill the vacancy. Lenna took a step back, gun moving from one to the other. They stepped over the body of their leader, and a shot tore through the muscles of the right zombie’s knee. She swayed from the loss of mobility, dropping to one leg in a crawl. Lenna bit her lip.
“Though with the quality of the hordes these days, I don’t think they’ll stand much of a chance.”
"True, but if for whatever reason one is needed it is nice to have a high caliber weapon."
“So, shall we?”
He turns to looks at girl, "Sounds a fine plan to me."
He hears zombies approaching, the groaning and dragging of their feet announcing their presence. He raises his 9mm in the direction of the groaning and the attached light illuminates the ten undead. Anya having now taken down the leader and nailed another in the knee he watches as that one continues to crawl and then shoots another in the head, the zombie staggered a step and collapsed.
"Shoot them in the head or they'll keep coming"
He fired again, another zombie collapses as rotting brains fly out behind it. He figured if this kept up long more zombies would be attracted by the noise, they had to get inside and make their way to the jet.
"If we don't move soon it may become more difficult to get inside, I'll hold off what is still here and yall head for the mansion. Don't worry about me I got an idea to handle them."
At this he holstered his gun and ran toward the zombies sliding his Sig from his back and holding it by the barrel to wielded it like a club. Stopping in front of a zombie he raised the gun and as his power enhanced his torso strength he slammed the butt down on the head of the zombie squishing it like a pancake. He kicked over the zombie over and then swung the gun in an arc, nailing a zombie in the side of the head ripping its head off of it's body and sending it off into the night. He then looks forward and can see a wave of zombies approaching. Crap...
