The X-men run missions and work together with the NYPD, striving to maintain a peaceful balance between humans and mutants. When it comes to a fight, they won't back down from protecting those who need their help.
Haven presents itself as a humanitarian organization for activists, leaders, and high society, yet mutants are the secret leaders working to protect and serve their kind. Behind the scenes they bring their goals into reality.
From the time when mutants became known to the world, SUPER was founded as a black-ops division of the CIA in an attempt to classify, observe, and learn more about this new and rising threat.
The Syndicate works to help bring mutantkind to the forefront of the world. They work from the shadows, a beacon of hope for mutants, but a bane to mankind. With their guiding hand, humanity will finally find extinction.
Since the existence of mutants was first revealed in the nineties, the world has become a changed place. Whether they're genetic misfits or the next stage in humanity's evolution, there's no denying their growing numbers, especially in hubs like New York City. The NYPD has a division devoted to mutant related crimes. Super-powered vigilantes help to maintain the peace. Those who style themselves as Homo Superior work to tear society apart for rebuilding in their own image.

(And because Sukra is damn hot! ) ((Also when Sukra speaks in <> That means she's speaking Dwarven))
Sukra enjoyed the hike, it was refreshing, even if she preferred the city. At the beginning of each day, Sukra payed to Ehlonna and Fharlanghn, for their guidance and support through her journey. She never prayed to Olid, for her whole life was dedicated to his way, the way of the rogue.
The barbarian was a quiet one, at least he had been for most of the journey. It didn't bother her one bit, though she found it curious. She had pulled her cloak closer about her as the wind chilled more with each mile. As they approached the encampment, she saw the giant eagles. She was in awe of them, though she felt sorry for them to be tied down.
She looked at the Dwarf who spoke. 'I've never seen a Dwarf with his height.' She thought to herself. She stepped forward, holding her hand out. <We're making our way along the trails. I'm headed after the Avalanchers. I was told about the trouble they were giving the merchants and tradesman, decided to head out and do what I can.> "Name's Sukra Aija. Well met." She clasped the Dwarf's arm as he did the same. "I've seemed to have picked up a traveling capanion, though he doesn't talk much I'm afraid. Though his prowess with those two bastard swords is quite impressive."
She pointedly looked at the eagles. "I don't mind to prod, but why are they tied down?"
He reguarded the barbarian with interest as Sukra introduced him, but his attension was brought back to sukra with her queston. The dwarf looks behind them, as if he has forgotten exactly was behind him, and then laughes.
"Oh those. Well actually, those were our solution to the avalancher problems. See, they often lose their nests to the avalanchers, but because their never really on the ground, they always seem to survive. You can see more and more of them these days just circling the skys, not sure what to do with themselves anymore, and afraid to land anywhere. We were gunna see if we could train some of these, and fly them over the mountains to hunt the Avalanchers. We found them them without homes, and hungry, and used bait to catch them. The beast are very proud however, and our ranger is having alot of trouble training them."
(hehehe, I'm geussing you've seen the show Kargoth the barbarian eh Abyss?)
"The... feathers you say?"
The tall dwarf seemed to contemplate this, turning to look at the eagles whilst runnng his fingers through his black beard.
The eagles themselves did not look particularily troubled by their situation. A few could be seem picking at the remains of a deer carcase, which one could imagine used to be covered in flesh when it was first thrown to them. The rest sat on the grass and wildflowers, picking and cleaning their wins.
The quiet of the mountains was quickly disrupted by a suddenly load crackfrom higher up on the mountain top, and a slow rumber. The eagles heads snaped up to see what had caused the noise, aswell as the dwarves.
To the north, up the mountain a ways, you can see a flow of rock tublin down the mountain. It is not headed for the encampment, and you are safe here, however, the dwarf seems worried.
"That, my friend, is most likely, an avalauncher. Our friend Erond, the ranger, headed that way in search of more game... he may be hurt!"
He looks to the other dwarves, who also pick up battle hammer, though much smaller in comparison to the first dwaf's, and nod to him. They begin running along the mountain towards the avalanche.
