The X-men run missions and work together with the NYPD, striving to maintain a peaceful balance between humans and mutants. When it comes to a fight, they won't back down from protecting those who need their help.
Haven presents itself as a humanitarian organization for activists, leaders, and high society, yet mutants are the secret leaders working to protect and serve their kind. Behind the scenes they bring their goals into reality.
From the time when mutants became known to the world, SUPER was founded as a black-ops division of the CIA in an attempt to classify, observe, and learn more about this new and rising threat.
The Syndicate works to help bring mutantkind to the forefront of the world. They work from the shadows, a beacon of hope for mutants, but a bane to mankind. With their guiding hand, humanity will finally find extinction.
Since the existence of mutants was first revealed in the nineties, the world has become a changed place. Whether they're genetic misfits or the next stage in humanity's evolution, there's no denying their growing numbers, especially in hubs like New York City. The NYPD has a division devoted to mutant related crimes. Super-powered vigilantes help to maintain the peace. Those who style themselves as Homo Superior work to tear society apart for rebuilding in their own image.

Sukra was surprised when a large burly man appeared next to her. He was more of a surprise than the four wolves ahead of them. He looked capable enough. At that moment, Sukra looked back and saw the wolves had not noticed her and were focusing on the man. (Free action) Sukra focused on her innate magical abilities and became invisible where she was crouched. She moved out of the brush to the left side of the wolf farthest back. She drew her rapier back and swung to strike the wolf when she got into position.
Sukra disappears from the Barbarians side. The bushes move slightely, and the Beasts ears swivel, searching for a ghost sound. Blood splatters from the farthest wolf, and it yelps in pain. As the blood lands on the invisable Sukra, she suddenly becomes visable. (CRITICAL 6+2+3=11 x2= 22)
The beast is severely injured, but is still standing.
The Barbarian dashes forward, his footwork a site to behold. His first powerful slash misses completely. He had swung too short, and his sword embedded itself in the ground ( Rolled a 1). That did not slow the killing machine down however. Spinning around, he slashes horrizontally, and connects with the beasts face as it tries to dart away, leaving a bloody slash across its face. ( attack, 13+1 = HIT, 8+4= 12 damage)
The beast growls angrilly, and then, it atually speaks out, in a language, that neither aaremeth, nor Sukra know. The words sound foul and full of hatred all the same.
The Beast huddle around the two, and only has has to move to accomplish this (5 fot step, free action)
I Few of them mutter some more to eachother, in the same, strange language. Their growling becomes partial laughing, but is cut short as they begin their assault.
Two snap at Sukra with their jaws. The bite at her legs, but alas, the effort is fruitless, and she easily shakes them off. (13 and 15 vs. AC 20)
The other two try feircly to bite into the barbarian. He kicks one in the face as it tries to bite his leg, but as he does, the other one jumps up and bites into his shoulder. (9, 17 vs AC 15) The bite is deep, and gushes with blood. (3+4 =7 damage) The wolf tries desperately to pull him to the ground, but the barbarian is stronger. (trip attempt 16 vs. 23)
Each dark wolf jumps back, unsatisfied with their work, snarling once more.

Sukra watched as the barbarian swung at the wolves, missing one, but landing a nasty hit on the other. Her own blade had done a number on the wolf in front of her. They began to yip, yelp and growl in a weird way. Sukra was about to enact another one of her innate abilities when all four wolves attacked in unison. The barbarian smashed the the nose of one as it lunged towards him, while another bit hard on his shoulder.
While she was concerned about the man in a general sense, she focused on her own self more. The remaining wolves attacked her and bit her legs. The sensation was interesting. She began to giggle and laugh. "Stop it..please, it tickles." As the wolves settle back for another go, Sukra lashes out at her target, the one with the nasty gash. "Why do you attack us? There are many Avalanchers about."
"Exacly," Responded the blooded wounded wolf, who apeared to be the alpha male of this groupe, "The avalanchershave kill many goats and deer. They eat our food, and run away when we try to eat them!" (Diplomacy Standard action, 21-10= 11 Disposition remains the same) The Wolf takes this as his chance, and attacks(14+7= 21 vs. 20 AC).
He bites into her shoulder much like his followers did to the barbarian, only this time, the wolfs teeth do not even pentrate the skin. ( 4+4= 8 damage, DR12). Still, with its firm grip it tries to pull her to the ground. Though its wounds were greate, and it struggled, Sukra found herself losing her step, thanks to a inconvienently placed root. (trip attempt 5+3 vs. 2+3, success)
Now prone on her side, Sukra was stairing at these creatures from eye level, and could truely see their hunger in thier eyes. Acting quickly, and with great finess, Sukra rolls backwards and avoiding their snaps and bites, and gets to her feet (Tumber check 16+4= 20 vs. DC15) Once standing, Sukra taps into her inate magic abilities once more, and disappears from site.
Aaremeth's ravid behavior begins to to dihearten the wolves. Their tails and ears drop low, and the one to the left of Aaremeth uranates in fear. They already seemed demoralized by the severer injury to their leader, now they seemed ready to run. (Intimidate 19+8 = 27 + 1 cercumstance bonus =28)
The Barbarian continues his wild attack this time with much more success (13+6, and 20+6). The one who had received the first slash in the face, now found itself with the bastard sword embedded in its skull. (9+6 damage) It slumps to the ground awkwardly, brain matter an other fluid leaking out of its head. The second one who had wet itself now shoot in fear as the blades came for him aswell. The swung past the wolf, and for a second, he thought the man had missed. But then, emense pain struck it, and blood spewed forth from its throat. ( 16+ 6 Critical confirmed, 8+6 x2) The worf stood for a second, and its legs seemed to wabbl. It slumped to the ground aswell, the ground turning a deep red beneath it. (Failed fortitude save for massive damage)
The ravanous man stood over the bodies, his body and blades soaked in the blood of the black wolves. Surely he was not finished with his rampage yet.
Where there once was four, two were left, and was was nearing death. With the disappearence of the woman, their sites had turned once again tot he barbarian. The bodies of their comrades were enough to discourage attacking the man beast.
"Go! Tell the rest of the pack," the large, bleeding wolf snarled to the other.
It did as it was told, turning tail quickly and about to run out through the brush. (failed attack of oppertunity 7+3=10) The Wolf was gone and seconds, leaving the battle behind.
The other focused it gaze on the barbarian. They were the only two in site in the clearing, and with his injuries, he new he could not escape. It charged forward, and attacked. However, its wounds were to great, and by now, it's move, emts were highely uncoordinated (charge attack failure 3+7+2- 1=11). The barbarian simply sidestepped the beasts charge. Taking his chance, he attacked, but the wolf refused to die yet. It eveaded the Bastard sword, and took up a fighing stance against the barbarian. (4+6=10 failed attack of oppurtunity)
End of enemies turn, end of round 2. Round 3, Sukras turn!

Sukra, still invisible, spoke. "This doesn't have to end with your death. We can attack the Avalanchers together. It would be to both our benefits. You can track them, and we can kill them." While Sukra spoke, she moved next to the barbarian, and placed a hand on his shoulder. Speaking softly to him, "Don't attack." (Attempt Diplomacy at the Alpha)
*End of Combat (Classic Final Fantasy Vicory song)*
(both of you gain 1200 xp, level up you character as soon as possible)
The worge growls at the unsean speaker, but lowers its' head. It knows it has been defeated. It might also be that its hunger is also adding to it's reluctance (Diplomacy of 17+4= 21, raises disposition from Hostile to unfriendly)
"Ha! My pack will not help the ones who have killed their brothers. They will wait in the forestd for the Avalanchers to kill you, and we'll feast on your flesh them."
The beast desperately tried to move out of the way from the impendin attack, but to no avail (11+6=17 Hit) the wolf is instantly cut down, what little strength it has left depleted. (5+6= 11 damage)
Three wold bodies now sit in the glad. The only survivor now long gone through the mountain forest.

"Stupid beast." Sukra said as her invisibility faded. She was crouched down next to the dead Alpha, wiping the blood off of her rapier.. "Probably be best to leave this place behind and soon." Pulling out her dagger she slit the Alpha down it's neck and belly and began to skin the canine, taking the hide and flank of the wolf. She headed out of the clearing after cleaning off the dagger and gathering the wolf parts. Looking back. "You need to get those treated, or at least get some rest. I'm no good with first aid, sorry." She walked through the brush onto the road, continuing in the direction she had been going before the wolf attack.
(I'm assuming Aaremeth's gunna follow Sukra... because he's lonely ;D)
Again, they travel along the road. The forest quickly changes. The few broad-leaf trees have now all been replaced by Pines. The number of trees dwindle greatly, and the rocky terrain only permits small, hardy undergrowth to flurish. Three days travel along the path, crossing over streams and rocky roads, and there are no longer trees to speek of. Only hardy, ugly bushes, and stubborn wilflowers. The climate has gotten colder aswell, and the road steeper.
The path is now headed for the great pass. Easily recognised, it is the large split between two great mountains. This is where the road crosses from one side of the mountains to the other. You come across an encampment of dwarves who have set up camp along the trade road.
A relatively tall dwarf greets you.
"Ah! What brings you lowlaying folk up to the mountens eh?"
His hair is black, and he wheres a pair of sparkling goggles, and above his right eye, there seems to be a birthmark in the shape of a hammer. He carries a rather large hammer over his shoulder aswell... so large in fact, you doubt most humans could use it.
You notice that tied up behind him, five giant eagles have been tied down to a huge boulder. Two other dwarves sit outside the large tent smoking pipes and laughing loadly.
