The X-men run missions and work together with the NYPD, striving to maintain a peaceful balance between humans and mutants. When it comes to a fight, they won't back down from protecting those who need their help.
Haven presents itself as a humanitarian organization for activists, leaders, and high society, yet mutants are the secret leaders working to protect and serve their kind. Behind the scenes they bring their goals into reality.
From the time when mutants became known to the world, SUPER was founded as a black-ops division of the CIA in an attempt to classify, observe, and learn more about this new and rising threat.
The Syndicate works to help bring mutantkind to the forefront of the world. They work from the shadows, a beacon of hope for mutants, but a bane to mankind. With their guiding hand, humanity will finally find extinction.
Since the existence of mutants was first revealed in the nineties, the world has become a changed place. Whether they're genetic misfits or the next stage in humanity's evolution, there's no denying their growing numbers, especially in hubs like New York City. The NYPD has a division devoted to mutant related crimes. Super-powered vigilantes help to maintain the peace. Those who style themselves as Homo Superior work to tear society apart for rebuilding in their own image.

The day had been long and rather boring. Walking around the parks and checking out some of the main streets hadn't really given Syn any entertainment. Although, once in awhile she would noticed people staring at her. She guessed it was mostly due to how she looked. It was very much doubtful that they knew what she was or what she could do.
Now it was night time and the nightlife of the city was different from the daytime people. More of the night time people were crazy freaks like herself with the exception of being human. She could still blend in with them and interact with them however.
Syn decided to go check out some of the clubs to find some kind of fun. She wasn't being picky as she looked for a place to go. The place she picked was a dance club playing some techno style music. The people going in to the structure were closer to her age than some of the other clubs she had passed. Maybe this would make her night end better than her day did.
Syn picked out a spot at the corner of the bar that was in the dance club and began watching people. In a matter of minutes guys were offering to dance with her and buy her drinks. The funny part was she didn't even have to use her ability, but she decided to anyways. Within 20 or so minutes Syn had the entire place in chaos. People were making out furiously with their dates and other peoples dates. Others were getting mad and started shoving one another. All of it brought a smile to her face.
That is until a couple girls started fighting right by her and knocked into her. Syn got up and promptly punched one of the girls in the face breaking her nose with her surprising strength. Who knew that such strength could be contained in such a comparably small frame? Even though Syn had toned muscles from her cheerleading and workouts it would be physically impossible for anyone to have her strength naturally. She was much stronger than any normal human. Her strength was comparable to someone like a power lifter. so it was no surprise for her to break the other girl's nose, but by doing so she became the focus of the poor girl's boyfriend.
The guy approached Syn and inquired why she hit his girl. His answer was a broken nose of his own and the words, "Because I can." She then kicked the guy in the groin which lifted him off the ground briefly and sent him to the floor with a thud.
While smiling at her handy work Syn decided to have some more fun. She changed everyone's mood to that of euphoric pleasure. Seeing that everyone was in a state of pleasure she grabbed a wooden bar stool and threw it at the alcoholic bottles stacked up behind the bar. She then grabbed someone's zippo lighter and flicked it to life. Taking a last look she flipped the lighter behind the counter and watched a fireball instantly erupt.
Making her way out she grabbed another bar stool and broke off one of the legs. Walking out of the club she closed the doors and shoved the leg of the bar stool through the door handles to slow down anyone from coming outside. Giggling to herself Syn backed away form the building as the fire inside grew and spread. With her influence now gone the people inside began to panic. They screamed, shouted, pushed and shoved. All of them trying to escape the burning building.
It didn't take very long for the people to push the doors hard enough to break the stool leg from the door handles but by then Syn had made her way up the street and well out of site of anyone looking for her. She could hear sirens in the distance as she walked off with a wicked smile. She needed to find a place to sleep for the night.

Glare and Nightdream stepped out of the airplane and down the stairs to the ground below. This would bet he first time that Ezekiel had set foot on American soil. As his feet hit the ground, the feeling felt good. Very good. Behind him, Beth smiled grimly and spoke, "I have bad feeling about this Zeke..."
Ezekiel shame!ed his head to one side and heard a siren in the distance. probably just a few crazy Americans doing what Americans do on a Saturday night. Party. Zeke replied, "It's fine, let's get into the city, I'm starving."
The two grabbed their luggage and walked through the airport. Within thirty minutes they had cleared the security and walked through the front doors of the airport, into the crowded city streets of downtown New York City.
Zeke looked up and down the street, and could see comotion everywhere. These Americans certainly knew how to make things pretty interesting. Everywhere he looked, people were on the move and caught up in their own little worlds. They acted as if no one existed except for themselves. Maybe nobody did...
Beth spoke to break the silence between them, she had to yell to be heard over the constant din of voices around them, "Why are we here Zeke?"
Zeke grimaced and turned to face the girl he loved. She was the most beautiful thing he had ever seen. He loved her more than he loved herself, yet his dream had told him a faint glimpse of what would come to pass in the next few minutes, and it could be very dangerous. Zeke was a good man, but yet he had a dark streak, (as his killing of Shma had shown) and he was selfish above all, like most people. In fact, in Ezekiel's mind everyone was selfish and every decision made was a selfish decision. There is no such thing as "selflessness".
He turned back to the street without replying, and started to walk in a general direction. Beth followed close behind, continuing to ask why they were here. Finally, he spun on his heels and replied, "We are here to find other mutants... the dream led me here."
Beth said no more, simply nodded and followed. Zeke turned down a street and glanced around. Looked deserted. In the far distance he could see an orange glow. Looked a little like a fire. He was getting an uneasy feeling in this alley. Carefully, he pulled out the unopened water bottle the flight attendant had given him, and opened it slowly. Once the seal was broken, he closed it again and kept walking down the alley. Both him and Beth had a sense of unrest in this dark street.
Suddenly, out of the corner of his eye Zeke spotted something. A young girl, not older than twenty he guessed, was moving quickly down the street, huddled up against the wall it seemed. Then he remembered, this was a scene from his dream. A scene that the dream had to resolved. This could be problematic. He whispered to Beth, "That girl, see her?"
"Yes."
"Get ready, I'm very wary of her, she was in the dream, and I'm not sure that's a good thing."
Beth nodded and started to concentrate a little more. She might hae to use her powers sooner than they thought. Zeke stepped out of the shadows and into the light, where his power could be used more effectively if needed. Finally, he spoke to the moving figure, "Hello there??"

OOC: He's speaking to Syn as she is heading for a place to sleep.
While walking around looking for a place to get some sleep Syn’s attention was suddenly snapped to attention by someone calling out “Hello there”. The voice came from a male who was accompanied by a female. The two of them were walking towards Syn. This act made her somewhat nervous because she didn’t know if they had seen what she did at the club.
Deciding to confront them instead of ignore them she faced them. “Are you calling to me?” she asked.

Glare blinked a little. Was she serious? This could be a trick. Cautiously, Zeke stepped further into the light and exposed himself to the full view of everyone in the alley, all two of the others. Beth stepped up behind him and stood there. The two would wait and see what this girl did.
"Of course I'm talking to you..." Zeke called out. He could sense this one was not good. Not good at all.
Beth concentrated hard on the girl. Suddenly, a thought sprung to her mind. She read the other mutant's mind and realized that this mutant had actually killed innocent civilians only minutes ago. She quickly conveyed the information to Zeke via telepath.
Ezekiel's mind recieved an urgent message concerning a club and the murder of US citizens. And this mutant was involved. In fact, this mutant was the killer. Interesting... dangerous. Very dangerous. But what was Zeke to do now? He couldn't just let a killer walk the streets of NYC could he? Not when he had the power to stop them.
"Whoa there, stop right where you are." Zeke exclaimed. "I know what you've done, and I can't let you get away with it. Either turn yourself in, or I'll have to deal with you now."
This was going to be very dangerous very soon. Even a non-telepath could tell that.

OOC - Syn's post:
IC:
“I know what you’ve done!” yelled the guy.
How could he know what I did? No one was near the club when I left. She thought as she surveyed the two people who were now approaching her. She looked them over good. Neither of them seemed to have any visible weapons, but they did out number her. Perhaps she could do something to allow herself to escape yet keep them from following.
“You have no idea what else I can do!” she yelled back at the pair as she bolted down the alley.
The alley had a secondary path between a couple buildings with ended in a T intersection. Syn darted down the second alley. She picked up a trash can full of junk and waited for a couple seconds before tossing it up into the air in the direction of the first alley way. This was only a distraction of course. As the pair avoided the trash can and quickly made the turn down the second alley their vision was caught by a large dumpster barreling towards them. Syn gave one last powerful shove to increase the speed of the dumpster. And then turned the opposite way and ran as fast as she could.
She had only traveled twenty or so feet when she heard the loud crash of the dumpster as it collided with what she hoped were the people chasing her. Otherwise it would at least slow them down. Little did she know that it had hit the girl.

The sudden rush of this new girl caught both of the mutants totally by suprise. Glare jumped to the side and created some sulfur, which he quickly mixed with the water from the bottle in his hand. In an instant, he had an acid rain mixture, which he consequently hurled at the girl.
Darn... missed. The composite of acid rain harmlessly hit the side of a building and sizzled it, burning a small hole in the wall, then dissolved. Zeke turned to see a trash can hurling at him with tremoundous speed. The trash can came straight at him, and he had to dive out of the way. Beth also had to dive, but the can split them and seperated them by about fifteen feet when they had finally hit the ground from their dives.
Zeke heard the threatening scream of the girl. An evil mutant... definitely a bad mutant. I have to stop her. But as Zeke stood to his feet, he saw nothing but dark green hurling towards him. He barely had time to react, but he was able to feebly jump to the side. The crash was undeniable, as the dumpster slammed into the ground with a frightening sound. Dust and trash in the alley spewed everywhere, and mixed with Zeke's random sulfur in the air.
Finally, Zeke's hearing and sight returned, and with horror he heard the screams of Beth. He looked and saw that her body was caught under the dumpster, from her lower torso down. He rushed to her side instantly, suddenly unconcerned with the running female mutant.
When he reached he side he saw his worst nightmare. Blood pooled around Nightdream's trapped body, and she was calm about it. She was struggling to breathe, but finally was able to here and there. Zeke realized that he couldn't move the dumpster, it was far too big. Even if he could with his sulfur, he wouldn't be able to in time. The dumpster had split some sort of large artery in Beth's body, and she would bleed to death in a few moments.
He cradled her head in his arms and held her close. He tried to tell her to keep with him, but she seemed to ignore him. The tears came to Zeke's eyes, and he heard her speak, "I love you Ezekiel, and I will always be with you." She breathed once more, and then slumped in his arms. Her body turned cold instantly, and Zeke realized she was dead. Dead.
In shock, Ezekiel rolled over onto the ground exhausted. His mind went blank as his sight went black. He had fallen asleep in shock.
Black heard a slight sound, whimpering. He rounded the next corner and walk down the alley in the cover of the shadows. There lay a young man, by a dumpster, and also by Black's target. They were both lying in a pool of blood. Black just needed the body. However, this man could be faking, he was probably that mutant she had been traveling with. Black decided to wait a moment and observe.

Flash... flash! The whiteness appeared. Zeke found himself standing on a platform, in the middle of a vast ocean. The water was a deep white coloration, and the sky was even whiter. Almost too bright to breathe, but Zeke wasn't interested in the sky. What's happening? A loud crash sounded behind him and he spun on the platform.
Nothing! What in the world was going on? As far as he could see, was nothing but white ocean, and the loud crash had seemed so near. What? A voice... "Ezekiel."
Beth...
"Ezekiel. What do you see?"
Zeke looked and saw it. There it was. A man in a dark costume and armed. Shotguns... there in the man's hands. He stood in the sky and gleamed there. He stared deep in Zeke's eyes. "I see a man." Zeke responded. "No," came Beth's reply, "What do you see Ezekiel?"
The scene began to spin. The man in the sky disappeared, and suddenly, the sky itself and the ocean were gone. Zeke could see himself running through an alley, with the shogun man on his heels. He could see himself dashing for cover, but unable to find any. Running, running, running! Running but going nowhere. Running.
"I see running."
"What do you see Zeke?"
The scene changed again, and Zeke was standing in front of a large gate. A school of some sort! The sign read, 'Xavier's Second School for Gifted Youngsters.' "Here," chanted Beth over and over again, "Come here."
"Where?!" screamed Zeke as the vision started to spin and get louder. "Where?!?"
"You will know where... the danger is coming. You must hide me, and escape to the school. The school is in grave danger, and you must help protect it. There you will find your destiny. Here.... here!!"
A loud flash/bang of light, and the vision ended. Darkness clouded Zeke's vision, and he saw concrete within inches of his face. He was back in the alley, with Beth's body in his arms. It had all been a dream. A strange dream. But he had to follow it. Her codename was Nightdream after all. He couldn't understand why, but he had to honor her wishes.
He bolted to his feet and created a sulfur block, pushing the large trash dumpster to the side. Beth's body was now free of it, and Zeke created a solid sulfuric strecther. Manipulating it ahead of him, he dashed down the alley. He didn't know where he was going, but he felt the leading of Beth. Running... running. The sulfuric stretcher only feet ahead. Finally, he turned a corner. This was it, here.
He found a small hole in the ground. Convenient and simple. Beth was good, even in death. He manipulated the block to gently drop her body in the long and deep hole, and then quickly filled the hole with a muddy sulfuric element, using a nearby water source. With a flick of his wrist, the element hardened, permanently sealing the grave, at least for now. He check his bearing and found he was in the Northwest corner of a huge park. It was dark in this portion, and in Zeke's memory he realized it was likely Central Park. The grave was under a large oak tree. And Zeke took note of the area.
Then, with a final kiss goodbye, Zeke spun and checked to see if anyone was around. When he finally certain he had gone unseen, he slipped back into the alleys and headed in the direction he felt he should go. And Beth led him.
Black watched the young man jump up and suddenly start running away, a body was floating in front of him. Is he Telekinetic? Black wondered. Black tried his best to remain under the cover of darkness while he chased the man. He followed the man the several more alleys. But as he was just rounding a bend when he tripped over something- A cat. Black jumped up, whirled his gun around and shot the creature as it tried to crawl away. Cats, I hate cats! thought Black. He turned and started to track the man again, who knew where he was by now though. The air smelled strange, almost like sulfur, or something burning. Black followed the signs of footprints, blood, and smell all the way to the park. There stood the man. But as soon as Black saw him, the man was running again.
After running several blocks Syn finally stopped aand took a breath. She looked behind her but she didn't see the man and the girl who were trying to confront her. Perhaps she had crushed them both with the dumpster. A smile krept across her face, butonly briefly. Maybe she only slowed them down.
She continued on but she walked instead of deciding to run. The night air was refreshing to her, but she was getting tired. She needed to find a place to rest. So her search for a place to sleep resumed.
After about an hour she finally found a place. It was a fancy hotel. Needless to say she was able to get herself a room with no trouble.

Zeke spun and saw a man. Staring at him. Basically boring a hole into the back of his head, and now his eyes. Zeke stared him down. He was dressed in a black trenchcoat and wore a silver mask. A wide-brim cowboy hat topped the man's head, and gave him a rather indimidating look.
Strange... the fact that this man was the exact same one in Zeke's recent dream. This was not good, not good at all. What do I do now Beth? He kept staring at the man, waiting for him to make a move, say something, do something. All the while, Ezekiel kept ready to use his powers. He didn't see and shotguns, but this was definitely a shotgun wielder. If they weren't readily seen, they were certainly near enough to be accessed at a moment's notice.
Zeke stood ready, and didn't say a thing. He just stared. Waiting. Confident and sober.
Black, stared at the man. The man stared back. Fear. Black could feel it. He could almost smell it in the air. Fear was creeping into this young man's soul. Fear was Black's greatest ally, darkness was his helpmate. Right now he had both with him. Black took a lazy step toward the man. "Don't run." He said, "It won't do you much good anyway. I just want the girl. Where is she?"

Glare chuckled a little. "Run? You think I would run? I don't have any need to run from a mortal like yourself..."
He stepped forward a few feet and readied his powers further. A small shot of sulfur came from his right hand, and then he instantly quelched it. It was highly likely that the man before him wouldn't even notice. As he stepped forward, his confidence gained. He stepped into the beams of a huge street light. he couldn't stand the dark, it was one of his biggest fears. here in the light, he could defend himself better, and keep his fear in check.
"Her? What do you mean by 'she'? I really don't understand you..." Beth... he wanted Beth. There was no way that Zeke was going to give this man Beth. Not in a hundred years. He would die first.
"Please no agression. I assure you it would not be in your best interests." With the flip of his hand he could quite possibly make this the most miserable day of this man's existence. "Don't try me. Just go on your merry way..."
After a very relaxing and very comfortable rest Syn wakes up and orders room service. When her meal arrives she notices there is a complimentary booklet of events and places of interest. She begins to munch on some toast as she flips through the booklet. Catching her eye is some sort of school for gifted children. She rips the page from the book and folds it to be pu tinto her pocket. This sounds like it could be interesting She thought as she finished her breakfast adn left the hotel.
