Hey guys, how are you? Verdigris and I belong to another RP, over yonder, which implemented this idea, and we both thought it was a good one. a list of taken avatars. I would be willing to run it (having already got a post for it ready to go) and was just wondering what y'all thought.

I'm largely "meh" on the topic. I've seen Face Claims lists at other sites whilst I've been off advertising, but they tend to be associated with sites that put a lot of emphasis on who your play by is, and on other somewhat silly things--like amazingly frilly skins, and those posts were you make up fake back stories about your history with other characters before you ever even RP with them. We've never really had any problem with face claim overlap--I've seen it happen once, and the folks on the Cbox took about five seconds to figure it out and help the person in question find a similar actor for his signature. By and large, I doubt it would hurt anything, but I also don't see any need for it; it would just be yet another entry on the sprawling Newb Guide list (and having too many guides, which we're certainly boarding upon, risks making it hard for newbs to find important information and/or simply overloading them, so that they don't read anything at all). So I'd vote "no", personally.
