The X-men run missions and work together with the NYPD, striving to maintain a peaceful balance between humans and mutants. When it comes to a fight, they won't back down from protecting those who need their help.
Haven presents itself as a humanitarian organization for activists, leaders, and high society, yet mutants are the secret leaders working to protect and serve their kind. Behind the scenes they bring their goals into reality.
From the time when mutants became known to the world, SUPER was founded as a black-ops division of the CIA in an attempt to classify, observe, and learn more about this new and rising threat.
The Syndicate works to help bring mutantkind to the forefront of the world. They work from the shadows, a beacon of hope for mutants, but a bane to mankind. With their guiding hand, humanity will finally find extinction.
Since the existence of mutants was first revealed in the nineties, the world has become a changed place. Whether they're genetic misfits or the next stage in humanity's evolution, there's no denying their growing numbers, especially in hubs like New York City. The NYPD has a division devoted to mutant related crimes. Super-powered vigilantes help to maintain the peace. Those who style themselves as Homo Superior work to tear society apart for rebuilding in their own image.

The door to the War Room shot up as Tricity entered the high-tec room. The lights automatically came on with a welcome message to follow from the main computer. She mentally started the coffee machine and sat at the head of the table, waiting patiently for the others to arrive.

Kaz had taken great care to learn the layout of the mansion while he was there. A few places in particular he kept his eye on. This room was one of them. Tricity doesn't go many places from what he had observed but she came to this room, which made Kaz curious and confirmed his thoughts. He saw Tricity as he was walking down the hall. "Good day." He said with a light tone. As he was passing her, he spoke softly to her. "You know they were followed the entire time." Kaz's pace was slow as he took a few steps forward, waiting to see how Tricity would react.
The young redhead walked into the war room, ready to share the information that she had gathered from what she saw in King Parchinutinals or something like that. Fade really should have learned how to sound out things while she 'read' them, but all she needed to know during that period of time was that the more digits on the green paper, the more the money was worth. Before she entered the room, she saw another, one that she had never seen before. With her eyebrow raised, she surveilled the intruder. He couldn't be a new X-Man, she wouldn't make him an X-Man right after getting to the mansion and since she had no clue who he was, he had to be new or an ill-intended intruder.
Fade looked over at Tricity as she did not hear what this other had to say. "Do you know him?" She asked before turning to him with her currently gray eyes. As a precaution, she turned her normally invisible raptor-like claws visible and out of uneasiness and wanting for an answer, she grabbed her shark-tooth resembling mood necklace and began to rub it, an old habit she had that currently only erupts when she's anxious.
Mike was a little late in arriving... as always when he and Daria traveled, it tended to put a rush on his schedule. Still, he sized up the situation quickly, taking a place right behind Fade. "Easy, Fade," he said in a low voice, before speaking up. First meeting out of a coma or not, he was still a team leader, and in the war room especially, things needed to stay in hand. There were few places he'd jump into someone's mind without permission... this was one of them. "The lady raises a good question... You're not on the team roster, mind telling us what you're doing here?"

Daria was late because she was skipping class for the meeting and had to explain it to the teacher at NYU who, of course, didn't know she was a mutant or an X-man.
She came in beaming though because she'd gotten a high passing grade on her course mid term. One more test to go and she'd be qualified to teach an IT class.
The second in command appeared in a seat next to Mike quite suddenly but it was something he and Tricity should have been used to.

(OOC: Sorry for the length. Just adding background. Important stuff's at the end. lol)
After her hacking attempt failed, Crystal turned her attention to her second problem: Where her ‘student’ had disappeared to. A scan of the room, compared with a saved scan from the previous night, showed that no one had slept in the bed for two days. Rayne's laptop sat on the desk, still on, and still on standby, also untouched for two days. Also the cat litterbox hadn’t been changed in the same amount of time. The food bowl was empty and the water stale.
Crystal frowned. Though she was used to being ‘unused’ for days at a time, the lack of care for the cat didn’t fit with Rayne’s profile; the blonde-haired woman practically lived for her animals.
Crystal again jumped from the phone into cyberspace. Her trip only lasted a few seconds, as she quickly hacked into Chip’s system. The asian thirteen-year-old was deep inside a box of spare parts when her image appeared on his monitor.
“Chip! Head’s up!”
“Huh?” He turned in surprise, followed by a mass of parts spilling out into the air above his head. “Crystal? What are you doin’ in there?”
“Lookin’ at you out there, duh! I need a couple favors.”
Chip grinned. He got a kick out of the hologram’s attitude, depsite Rayne’s reservations. “Whatcha need?”
“First, I need an upgrade to link into the Mansion’s computer systems. I need to find Miss Tipper, and fast.”
“Aww, that’s easy.” Chip sat at the computer and began pecking away at the keyboard with amazing speed. “Uploading to ya,” he announced less than two minutes later. Crystal raised an eyebrow. She guessed he’d done this before. “Next?”
“Go to Rayne’s room and feed her cat. And change the litterbox.”
“What?? I ain’t changin’ no litterbox!”
“Want me to tell who’s giving me access to the Mansion computers? And the Danger Room computers?”
Chip frowned. “You wouldn’t. I can deactive you with a few keystrokes.”
“Yeah, but Rayne already knows, and she might tell if she finds out you didn’t look after her cat while she was gone.”
The threat worked, and a few minutes later the kid was trudging down the hall, grumbling as he went. Crystal smirked and disappeared from the screen.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Several minutes later the air in the War Room shimmered, and a hologram appeared next to the row of monitors. She was a mirror image of Rayne (Iris), and could have easily been mistaken for her, if it weren’t for the fact she’d appeared out of thin air.
Crystal looked around at those assembled. “So these are the Xmen, eh? Interesting.” Chip had put their images in her memory, along with a few stats. The one with the silver hair, however, was not in her files. She gave him a quick once-over, storing the image.
Dominic jogged down the hallway and toward the Danger Room, passing through the automatic door. When he went inside, he noticed a few had already gotten there. He gave a nod and smile toward Tricity, but then suddenly noticed Cassiel was up and about. "HEY! When the hell did you come back to life?!" Dominic said jokingly, giving him a pat on the shoulder. "Gave us a good scare. Looks like I'll be taking a back seat again." He'd suddenly noticed another in the room he wasn't prepared to see. 'Who's this kid?
He looked over to Fade who was also eyeing the person. Dominic shot a quick look of questioning to Tricity.
Mike glanced at Wire, smirking. "Not too long ago... the Doc told me that I need to make sure to take my vitamins so that I don't get so tired, those month-long naps tend to wreak havoc on my schedule."
He continued, mentally. "You know this kid? Should I be throwing him out of here?"
Tricity was jotting some things down on her notebook when she saw Kaz walk by the hall, giving a hello. She gave a slight nod and went back to her work when he said something very peculiar.
"I'm sorry?" she asked in confusion. "Who was followed where?" Before he was able to answer, others began to come in. Fade seemed uneasy by Kaz's visit. 'What's he doing down here anyway?' Mike, Daria, and Wire came in not soon after, greeting one another. She turned again to Kaz to answer when a hologram of Iris appeared next to some of the monitors. Things were getting much too distracting.
Tricity stood up and put her hands up for everyone to listen. "I'll be back in a minute. Kaz can you follow me please?" She ushered him out in the hallway to talk more privately.
Kaz nearly sighed as he heard a young girl's voice ask if Tricity knew him. What was really getting to him was the constant rubbing of whatever it was, he wasn't sure, but it sounded like it was coming from the girl's neck. "Chill out young one," Kaz said, still facing away from the two that came up behind him. "She's met me. I've enrolled into the school a week or so ago. And please stop with the rubbing the sound is extremely annoying." Being around Eldwyn, Nicki, and a few other telepaths had taught Kaz how to make make his mind completely blank.
".....You're not on the team roster, mind telling us what you're doing here?"
"What I'm doing here doesn't concern you." It wasn't a threat, nor was there anger or any other emotion running through Kaz. He said it matter of factly. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Within this sanctum, Sarrus ruled. He put up with Nicki entering Kaz's mind, only because it is what Kaz wants, and Sarrus cannot go against what Kaz wants. Though this feeling was not the normal calm, innocent feeling that Nicki brought. This was one of distrust and rash action. It pissed Sarrus off. Focusing on the feeling Sarrus brought himself to the forefront of Kaz's mind. Sending the biggest mental feedback he could muster, he lashed out at the intruder, jumping at him claw flashing, maw snapping. The emotions he was feeding out were that of destruction and carnage."GET OUT! LEST YOU BE DESTROYED!" ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Kaz raised an eyebrow as he felt emotions not his own well up within him. It took a moment but he understood. Turning his head slightly. "Sarrus doesn't like that my good Sir. It would be much appreciated if you refrained from going into my mind again."
He noticed the hologram and raised an eyebrow. He made sure to keep him mind blank as he watched the hologram look his way.
Tricity asked Kaz to follow her into the hallway, which he did without protest.
Tricity motioned a 'no' to Dominic and Mike who she could tell were getting agitated from Kaz's demeanor as she followed him out. Once they were outside and the door had closed, she walked a bit down the hall for some privacy. "Ok, what is it you wanted to talk about? Something about someone being followed?"
Daria in the meantime had set up her laptop for the meeting, her headset in her ear. She watched the situation with Kaz, slightly interested but not too worried.
She was more interested in what Fade had to say about this Sanctuary place.
Mike brushed off the mental jolt as if it was nothing. Emotions were almost like his life's breath... nothing someone could dish out could phase him anymore. All they could really do was annoy him. But Tricity wanted him out in the hall, so with a contemptuous mental swat at 'Sarrus', he drew his mind back into itself.
He frowned, deciding to let Tricity handle this one without further interjection. "Tell the kid to watch it," he told her, in a tone that she could tell wasn't ordering her around. "Because next time I find him in an area as blatantly off-limits to students as this, I'll push his mind harder. He won't like it. I promise."
Kaz kept his face blank as Tricity and he walked down the hall. "The Xmen are to public. The Xavier institute is too well known, both for mutants and it's connection to the Xmen." Kaz took a breath. "I can guarantee you the people from the Sanctuary spotted them two miles before they ever reached the building. They were tailed to, inside, and leaving the Sanctuary. Meaning they know they came back here."
Deathstar received news of the meeting from another student, I wonder what this could be! , she rushed to the basement leaving her room door open.
A she approached the war room she notice someone new, she didn't think too much of it and proceeded inside the war room and took herself a seat waitng for the meeting to begin. Deathstar notice Wire and Fade are a little uneasy and thought to herself she would watch this new guy with an close eye.
