The X-men run missions and work together with the NYPD, striving to maintain a peaceful balance between humans and mutants. When it comes to a fight, they won't back down from protecting those who need their help.
Haven presents itself as a humanitarian organization for activists, leaders, and high society, yet mutants are the secret leaders working to protect and serve their kind. Behind the scenes they bring their goals into reality.
From the time when mutants became known to the world, SUPER was founded as a black-ops division of the CIA in an attempt to classify, observe, and learn more about this new and rising threat.
The Syndicate works to help bring mutantkind to the forefront of the world. They work from the shadows, a beacon of hope for mutants, but a bane to mankind. With their guiding hand, humanity will finally find extinction.
Since the existence of mutants was first revealed in the nineties, the world has become a changed place. Whether they're genetic misfits or the next stage in humanity's evolution, there's no denying their growing numbers, especially in hubs like New York City. The NYPD has a division devoted to mutant related crimes. Super-powered vigilantes help to maintain the peace. Those who style themselves as Homo Superior work to tear society apart for rebuilding in their own image.

We are now accepting nominations for the title of Mutant of the Month for July. Please nominate someone that you feel is especially worthy of the title for this month and explain why. Please also leave links to a recent thread or three of theirs that you have particularly enjoyed so we can all enjoy them.
Please note that it is neither necessary nor prohibited to second a nomination. Once someone has been nominated you may show your support later through voting.
I would like to nominate Amber Thirsis as the Mutant of the Month: July.
Since I joined MRO not to long ago (only last June) Amber has always been willing to help me, my character, and my MROness-stuffs. From giving me advice in the cbox on practically anything and everything to being absolutely awesome in one of my first threads, Hunter's Hunted, this shy necro-dino-morpho-girl has won my heart and is one of my favorite characters in MRO.
Hunter's Hunted: A thread that introduces Amber to my own character Worms, and Elizabeth. I think her grasp of a girl exploring her powers as well as her reactions to being almost eaten to finally finding self-esteem as she stands up to her attack very enjoyable to read.
Willyougotothedancewidme?: This is where Amber and Kai decide to go to the dance together. It is an adorably awkward adolescent affrontation that makes the teenager still inside of me blush. I love it.
Where One Doesn't Belong: Honestly, this thread is just well written. I could sum up everything remarkable about it, but nothing shines out in particular because it is simply 100% good, everything about it enjoyable. A solid example of what good MRO-ness postings.
There you have it folks, Worms' reasons for why Amber should be named Mutate of the Month: July! Hopefully you either agree with me, or my arguments and examples are convincing enough to change your mind.
P.S: I'd like to point out that I am nominating her even though I am almost POSITIVE she gave me Dead-Dino-Bird-Flu! That is how awesome Amber really is.
