The X-men run missions and work together with the NYPD, striving to maintain a peaceful balance between humans and mutants. When it comes to a fight, they won't back down from protecting those who need their help.
Haven presents itself as a humanitarian organization for activists, leaders, and high society, yet mutants are the secret leaders working to protect and serve their kind. Behind the scenes they bring their goals into reality.
From the time when mutants became known to the world, SUPER was founded as a black-ops division of the CIA in an attempt to classify, observe, and learn more about this new and rising threat.
The Syndicate works to help bring mutantkind to the forefront of the world. They work from the shadows, a beacon of hope for mutants, but a bane to mankind. With their guiding hand, humanity will finally find extinction.
Since the existence of mutants was first revealed in the nineties, the world has become a changed place. Whether they're genetic misfits or the next stage in humanity's evolution, there's no denying their growing numbers, especially in hubs like New York City. The NYPD has a division devoted to mutant related crimes. Super-powered vigilantes help to maintain the peace. Those who style themselves as Homo Superior work to tear society apart for rebuilding in their own image.

Teddie nodded. "Yeah..the entire toe part of your shoe is a piece of wood surrounded by cotton batting, so it doesn't like..wear away the material of the shoe itself. You point your foot and squish your toes down on this block. It takes a lot of work to learn to dance en pointe because you have to have really, really strong ankles and leg muscles." she explained and set her bag down on the counter. Using the counter to keep herself from falling, Teddie went up on the toes of her black combat boots and hovered there for a few minutes. Then she slowly sank back to the floor and, almost automatically from habit, put her feet in second position and did a plie'.
"Ouch, but that's pretty cool." Fade tried to mimic her by going up on her toes, but she had never done it before, so she fell and hit the floor with her elbows. "Owie! Note to self: don't do anything that looks painful, chances are, it is." She muttered to herself before she began rubbing her toes. "Yup, I'm definately not ballet material." She chuckled before she began to apply pressure to her aching toes.

Teddie winced. "Here let me help you." she said, offering a hand. "Now you see why I hate it so much. Well..that's part of the reason anyway. The other part is that I'm really too fat to be a ballerina. You have to be like..stick thin with no boobs whatsoever. Most of the ballerinas in my classes were anorexic or bulemic. It was totally disgusting." she said with a shudder. Teddie knew that she wasn't really fat..she was actually a pretty healthy size. But one or two of the primas had called her fat to her face. She supposed that to them, a size 9 WAS practically obese when they struggled to keep their weight down so they could fit into size 0s and 1s.
"Thanks." She said as she got to her feet with Teddie's help. "Yeah, I could never give up food to run around being boobless and twirl on my toes and in the end, just be blown away by a gust of wind." She chuckled, she had never met anyone so light that they were carried away by the wind, but then again, it would depend more on the wind than it would on the person. For example, if it was a breeze, a very light person could survive, but if it was like tornado winds, wow, that person's screwed. Then again, isn't everyone screwed while encountering a tornado unless a mutant ability keeps them grounded?

Teddie nodded and stroked Magdalena, who had settled back on her shoulder. "I never liked ballet anyway. If my parents think they can tell me what to do from Dallas, they are mistaken that's for sure. I'm going to take the classes I want to take for a change. And no goddamned extra-curriculars unless I feel like it. I am sick to death of having every single day crampacked with school, study classes, ballet, art class, whatever. It's all bullshit man. Bullshit...."
"You tell them." Fade said before she took another swig. She brought the can up to her lips for another sip when she found this one was empty too. That's when she remembered. "Hey, I forgot, I was gonna go to the mall with Orb, you wanna come?" She asked, being polite and making sure that her new friend was invited, plus, they needed more people, it's much more fun like that.

"Sure Fade. Sounds like fun. I normally hate shopping but that's only because my mom drags me out and tries to buy me these hideous dresses she thinks are 'appropriate' for a girl of 'my age and standing' whatever that means. " she said, rolling her eyes. "She never did get that I like black and black only. It's like..y'know..my signature color."
"Well, let's go ahead and walk on out there. Let me get changed first." She said as she walked out of the kitchen, throwing her cans in the recylcing bin first. "Oh, and I gotta pee, this coke really did a number on me." She gasped, holding her tummy and crossing her legs before she let out another burp. "Meet me outside, I'll probably be with Orb and maybe some others."
