The X-men run missions and work together with the NYPD, striving to maintain a peaceful balance between humans and mutants. When it comes to a fight, they won't back down from protecting those who need their help.
Haven presents itself as a humanitarian organization for activists, leaders, and high society, yet mutants are the secret leaders working to protect and serve their kind. Behind the scenes they bring their goals into reality.
From the time when mutants became known to the world, SUPER was founded as a black-ops division of the CIA in an attempt to classify, observe, and learn more about this new and rising threat.
The Syndicate works to help bring mutantkind to the forefront of the world. They work from the shadows, a beacon of hope for mutants, but a bane to mankind. With their guiding hand, humanity will finally find extinction.
Since the existence of mutants was first revealed in the nineties, the world has become a changed place. Whether they're genetic misfits or the next stage in humanity's evolution, there's no denying their growing numbers, especially in hubs like New York City. The NYPD has a division devoted to mutant related crimes. Super-powered vigilantes help to maintain the peace. Those who style themselves as Homo Superior work to tear society apart for rebuilding in their own image.

Emerald shrugged and took the bowl from Sarah. "I'm sure it wont be that bad." Emerald growled as she dug in. She licked her lips as she sat there for a moment before devouring the rest of the bowl.
"Taste like the tuna is mixed with a whole bunch of other stuff....It doesn't tastes fine to me." Emerald said putting the bowl down. It was true when you are half wolf you have a bottomless pit for a stomach and will eat anything as long as its meat. "Sarah I will be your food guinea pig anytime." Emerald grinned at the younger girl.
To any human palate, what Sarah cooked was absolutely horrid... though Mike loved his little sister too much to be able to tell her that. "Ah... I'm glad you think so," he said, looking like he would be sick just from watching her eat it.
Emerald tail wagged happily when she saw the little girl get so excited, she didnt think her cooking was bad at all. The wolf girl walked over to the fridge and got a glass of water to wash it all down with. She drank it thirstly, for some reason when she ate fish she always had a mighty thirst afterwords.
"Sarah if you make anymore of that fish for me my stomach will most likely buldge out the size of a watermelon, It really filled me up with protien and iron...and watever else you put in there." Emerald said

Daria snorted as she choked back a laugh. She grabbed her bowl of cereal and pushed it around with the spoon before deciding she really didn't want anymore. She concentrated on an apple and it faded from its place in the bowl and appeared in her hand.
Yeah I hope so too. The one time you need humans you can't find them. She laughed. Maybe Tricity. No, she's too sweet.
That makes me kinda weak... Daria thought to Mike. Leaving out the part about the slight painless throbbing in her back. Everytime he used her powers she felt that.
Mike, of course, caught it, but he knew better than to call her on it. "Well, one of three things it could be. Either it's that you're still a little beat up from last night, or you just need to get used to doing it, or it's that damned stone. First two options, it'll go away, the third we're making it go away soon."
"Makes me wonder, though, if your power has an unexpected effect with the stone, though. I'm not sure what it means if it does, or how we can use it to our advantage."
Emerald noticed the silence and looked at the two strangely. She had no postive clue what was going on and was kind of confused. She poked Daria's arm curiously, for no apparant reason. "Are you to talking in each others heads or something?" She asked

Daria thought for a minute.
Well, sometimes it throbs when I'm not even using my powers. Sometimes... She looked at Emerald. Technically, there was no eveidence that that was even the case, she wasn't even looking at Mike, she was so used to him being her head she could feel his facial expressions. She was was eating her apple in his lap and looking at the floor.
"Hmm? Why do you ask." She inquired purposly not answering the question.
"Cause its so quite and when I was at a mutant bar this one really talktive couple got really quite when they were talking in telepathy and after the barteender asked if they were okay they said they were fine just talking in telepathy." Emerald said tail wagging back and forth.
"Ethier that or both of you could just be thinking deeply to yourselves." Emerald shrugged
