The X-men run missions and work together with the NYPD, striving to maintain a peaceful balance between humans and mutants. When it comes to a fight, they won't back down from protecting those who need their help.
Haven presents itself as a humanitarian organization for activists, leaders, and high society, yet mutants are the secret leaders working to protect and serve their kind. Behind the scenes they bring their goals into reality.
From the time when mutants became known to the world, SUPER was founded as a black-ops division of the CIA in an attempt to classify, observe, and learn more about this new and rising threat.
The Syndicate works to help bring mutantkind to the forefront of the world. They work from the shadows, a beacon of hope for mutants, but a bane to mankind. With their guiding hand, humanity will finally find extinction.
Since the existence of mutants was first revealed in the nineties, the world has become a changed place. Whether they're genetic misfits or the next stage in humanity's evolution, there's no denying their growing numbers, especially in hubs like New York City. The NYPD has a division devoted to mutant related crimes. Super-powered vigilantes help to maintain the peace. Those who style themselves as Homo Superior work to tear society apart for rebuilding in their own image.

Hunter knocked politely on the bedroom door. If he could gain Fiona’s trust it would grant him not only easy access, but a legitimate excuse to spend a lot of time at the mansion. The danger room in particular intrigued him, but he’d never get to test it fully unless he could get in on his own and prevent anyone else from entering. Even without access to the danger room the mansion still offered plenty, including the vast variety of mutant abilities for him to sample. If only he could devise a way of obtaining blood samples…
Fiona had set back to her task of remodelling when she heard another knock on the door. Immediately she assumed it was the new guy she had just helped, so she didn't bother to change her oversized shirt that she used for painting or take her hair down from the messy bun that it was in. She strode to the door and opened it fully when she realized it was the pro-mutant human from before. Her eyes widened, and she almost slammed the door in his face cartoon style had she not had more control.
"Hello Mr. Antonescu, pardon my appearance, simply remodelling around here. Can I help you with something?"
She had forgotten his suggestion of meeting again later, and was now beginning to recollect what he had said. She looked down for a moment, and realized that on top of everything, she was barefoot as well. She knew she had to be blushing as she leaned against the door frame.
Hunter smiled at her embarrassment over her appearance. He often found people wanted to look their best around him, seeing as he was always immaculately dressed. However, he looked past the superficial to the more important, to the ease of access to the mansion that she could offer him.
“No need to apologise, you can hardly be expected to remodel in your best clothes now can you? I was wondering whether you would like to come out for a bite to eat in the city, but if you’re busy I could come back another time.”
Smiling, Fiona shook her head. "Oh I'm not too busy, I simply resigned to doing this I suppose." she laughed.
"Just give me a moment to become presentable."
Nodding to the man, she closed the door gently and soon enough resembled a tornado as she ran to her closet. A lot of her things weren't unpacked yet, but she at least had a few good choices to choose from. Picking out a grey plaid 50's style skirt and a lacy black spaghetti strap top, she coupled her outfit with black pumps and a leather jacket. She almost reached the door again when she remembered to let her hair loose, and clipped it back into a half ponytail with a pewter barrette on her desk. Now she looked presentable as she finally opened the door.
"I hope this will do... And I hope upon hope that I don't smell like paint!" she giggled.
Hunter smile at her new attire. “That will certainly do. I’ve been told of an exquisite restaurant, the Le Bernardin, which is supposedly the best in town for French cuisine, specialising in seafood. Would you like to go, or should we look for somewhere else? My driver is still at the gate and we can go anywhere in New York you would like.”
While this would be no great expenditure, taking Fiona to one of the top restaurants in New York should hopefully impress. A thousand dollar lunch was a small price to pay to begin this relationship, and if it lead anywhere the he could return to the mansion at any time without it appearing suspicious.
Fiona's eyes widened once again. She had most certainly heard of Le Bernadin, and she knew how much money would be spent. She had enough to pay for herself, but nevertheless she was glad she carried her credit cards. She walked out of her room, and locking the door behind her, she set her key back in her small purse.
She began to descend the stairs, heading for the mansion grounds.
Hunter saw her surprise when he mentioned Le Bernadin. It had a high price tag for your average person, but not for him. He followed her down the stairs and out into the mansions grounds heading for the gate.
