The X-men run missions and work together with the NYPD, striving to maintain a peaceful balance between humans and mutants. When it comes to a fight, they won't back down from protecting those who need their help.
Haven presents itself as a humanitarian organization for activists, leaders, and high society, yet mutants are the secret leaders working to protect and serve their kind. Behind the scenes they bring their goals into reality.
From the time when mutants became known to the world, SUPER was founded as a black-ops division of the CIA in an attempt to classify, observe, and learn more about this new and rising threat.
The Syndicate works to help bring mutantkind to the forefront of the world. They work from the shadows, a beacon of hope for mutants, but a bane to mankind. With their guiding hand, humanity will finally find extinction.
Since the existence of mutants was first revealed in the nineties, the world has become a changed place. Whether they're genetic misfits or the next stage in humanity's evolution, there's no denying their growing numbers, especially in hubs like New York City. The NYPD has a division devoted to mutant related crimes. Super-powered vigilantes help to maintain the peace. Those who style themselves as Homo Superior work to tear society apart for rebuilding in their own image.

As Ted wandered through the mansion, realisation suddenly dawned on him. He had no idea where he was. The size of the place overwhelmed him, and he had no idea how to get to his room, the infirmary, or even outside. So he continued walking down the halls, looking horribly out of place in his torn clothes and scraggly hair. He just kept hoping someone would come along who didn't want to arrest him. He was still worried about the police, because he was a wanted fugitive after all. So he continued walking through the halls, checking over his shoulder every now and again and jumping at every noise.
Fiona made her way back to her room, a slight smile on her face and her thoughts in the clouds. She barely paid attention to anything in front of her before she ended up bumping into a figure that seemed to be wandering the halls. She gathered herself from the ground where the bump had caused her to fall and land on her bottom, and stood before the young man. She then recognized him as the guy from the infirmary who Mr. Antonescu had helped. She set to helping him as soon as possible.
"Are you alright now?" she asked, as she dusted herself off and watched him for any signs of falling over.

Ted galnced down at the woman at his feet, but she was up again before he could say anything. I've really got to stop looking over my shoulder he thought to himself. "Sorry, yeah, I'm fine. Just hungry and tired, but I'm alright now. Do you live here?" He inwardly beraded himself at the question, Of course she lives here, ah well, at least it's better than just saying nothing at all.

"Yeah, the Doctor pointed me towards the dormitories but I realized that there wasn't alot for me to do there so I began wondering through the halls in the hope of finding someone to talk to." He glanced over his shoulder agitatedly, still hearing sirens in his head. "I think I'm supposed to actually ask the headmistress if I can stay but I have no idea how this place works."
Fiona frowned as she heard the man speak. He seemed so tired and lost. Knowing that it was more than likely that he could stay, she began to ask him the obvious questions.
"Okay, you're here to stay. What they did for me is basically ask me two questions--what is your mutation, and... Is it harmful?"
Nodding, she also added: "And for rooms sakes, how old are you?"

"I'm eighteen, and my mutant power is, dangerous. It seems that whenever I'm injured, I transform into this beast thing and loose all sense of myself. I can't control it, and I just remember everything I did once transformed when I transform back. I seem to stay as this beast until the injury is healed or if it decides to go to sleep. I've done terrible things when transformed, and I just want to be able to stop them from happening." The memories began to flash back, the boy from his school, the random people on the streets, all the people that he had killed. He just wanted to be able to stop these things from happening, to quell the beast inside of him.
Fiona looked understandingly at the boy. Sometimes being a mutant was definetely not glamorous, as the young man standing in front of Fiona was a living example. Fiona held out her hand to introduce herself to make things a little more comfortable.
"My name is Fiona Ciapercelli. If you'll follow me I can get you situated until Tricity--the headmistress-- comes to see you. And don't worry, I know we can help you here."
Walking to the left side of the dormitories, she soon found a bedroom that was open and waiting for an inhabitant. Looking to Ted, she gestured that it was his much like a gameshow host would.
"All yours to do as you please! Oh, and by the way, there should be a change of clothes for a boy your age as these are the teenage dormitories. I think it's the classic uniform for the mansion's older boys--some sort of navy pants and dress shirt if I'm not mistaken. Hope everything goes well, and if you're hungry the kitchen is downstairs. It's quite enormous, so it'll be very hard to miss!" laughed Fiona.
Looking about her, she nodded to the guy in front of her.
"If you need anything, I'm in the middle hallway, fifth door on the right side facing the girls dorms."
"Thank-you so much, fifth door on the right, got it. I think it's about time I got changed out of these rags..." He looked at himself, and sighed. He worn these clothes for so long, but oh well, he'd feel better after getting changed. A bite to eat sounded good too. "Thank-you again, I'll see you later." He went into his room, and soon found the clothes that Fiona had pointed out. He got changed just as his stomach started to rumble. Ok, lunchtime I think. He slipped the money into the pocket of his new trousers, making a mental note to use it at some point. There was a leather jacket that he had seen in a shop that he quite fancied... but food took priority.
