The X-men run missions and work together with the NYPD, striving to maintain a peaceful balance between humans and mutants. When it comes to a fight, they won't back down from protecting those who need their help.
Haven presents itself as a humanitarian organization for activists, leaders, and high society, yet mutants are the secret leaders working to protect and serve their kind. Behind the scenes they bring their goals into reality.
From the time when mutants became known to the world, SUPER was founded as a black-ops division of the CIA in an attempt to classify, observe, and learn more about this new and rising threat.
The Syndicate works to help bring mutantkind to the forefront of the world. They work from the shadows, a beacon of hope for mutants, but a bane to mankind. With their guiding hand, humanity will finally find extinction.
Since the existence of mutants was first revealed in the nineties, the world has become a changed place. Whether they're genetic misfits or the next stage in humanity's evolution, there's no denying their growing numbers, especially in hubs like New York City. The NYPD has a division devoted to mutant related crimes. Super-powered vigilantes help to maintain the peace. Those who style themselves as Homo Superior work to tear society apart for rebuilding in their own image.

Fiona made it up the stairs, her legs aching slightly from the effort. Looking about herself, she took a right towards the dormitories.
"And here we are, the dorms. On the left are boys, and on the right girls if I'm not mistaken, and in the middle are the older residents--hence where my room is. I'll see if there are any--"
Fiona cut herself off as she saw what she had intended to show him. "Here's your standard room, open to any and all who come to reside here."
Stepping inside, she made sure the door was wide open for the visitor.
"They're plain, but with a bit of pizazz can be made into quite the room." she said, a trace of experience crossing her mind.
Hunter had a look at the room. While plain, it was perfectly comfortable. He’d slept in much worse places during his time. “Are there shared rooms or all single?” He asked. The split of the boys and girls was sensible, especially placing the adults in between. Where he really here to simply look at the school he would have been impressed. With the wealth of mutant talent he’d seen this was defiantly a place he wanted to become involved in.
"Depends. I personally have a single room, however if I chose I could have a a roomie. I'm not too sociable though, so meh, might not happen anytime soon." she laughed.
"This is pretty much the end of the tour, as you've seen the infirmary and the rest is your standard Living Room and what not. Shall I take you to the Headmistress' Room?" asked Fiona.
Secretely she hoped that that wasn't the case as she had grown to like the visitor, but she wanted to aid the school as much as possible.
Having had the tour Hunter had to admit that he was impressed. The place was top notch, a haven for mutants. It was time to pay the headmistress a visit. “I think it’s time that I spoke with her, however, I’d like to take a walk through the grounds with you once we’re done. You are a unique person even among such unique individuals I’d I would very much like the chance to get to know you better.
Fiona blushed as she walked with him towards Tricity's bedroom. "I would like that also..." she said to him, and stopping off at Tricity's door, knocked softly.
"She should be out soon, so I'll be heading to my room now to finish up my remodelling."
With that, she gave a bright smile and a small wave as she walked in the direction of her room. Turning back, she added:
"My room is the fifth on the right side of the middle hallway, so feel free." she said, and walked away once again.
Hunter smiled as he watched her go “Fifth on the right, middle hallway,” he repeated, then turned back to the door and waited for Tricity. He decided that he would donate the money, as it would tie him into the school. His developing relationship with Fiona could also prove to be another useful link. Finaly, his plan to have the catering staff infiltrated would give him several strong ties to the school, and the further he sank in roots, the harder he’d be to shift.
Tricity opened the door and saw a handsome man who appeared around her age standing in front of her. "Oh, hello. I'm the Headmistress, Tricity... Or Delilah. Whatever you prefer. Are you a new resident?" she asked, giving her hand for a shake.
Hunter took her hand and shook it warmly. “No, my name is Hunter Antonescu. My assistant, Miss Preda, was meant to have phoned ahead about my visit and possible donation to the school. And having had the tour I can say that I am most impressed. Fiona Ciapercelli was kind enough to give me a tour, as well as a little work out in that Danger Room of yours.”
While talking he tried to appraise the woman. She seemed confident, if a little young to run a school. However, he wasn’t going to underestimate her, after all she had to have been appointed for a good reason.
"Oh, I'm terribly sorry. Perhaps I missed your assitant's message... Please, come inside." Tricity pushed open the door to let Hunter inside, offering him the leather chair that was in front of her desk. She walked around to the other side and sat down so they could continue talking. "So, you wanted to make a donation? That's terribly nice of you. Are you also a mutant?"
It wasn't often people came around to give donations. In fact, once a reporter had pretended to be a wealthy man, wanting to give a donation, and she tripped him up in his own lie, finding out who he really was. It was good to have telepaths in the school.
Hunter took the offered chair. “I’m afraid that I’m not a mutant, but I am rather envious of you lot. You have some of the most amazing and incredible gifts. I’ve always sympathised with mutants and decided that instead of just feeling for them I should help them. Having had the tour I have to say I am most impressed, this is a fine school you run Delilah and I wish to contribute a donation of $200,000.”
Having devised the next phase of his plan he figured it wouldn’t hurt to mention it now. “Also I have had something planned for a while now, and the school is the perfect place to implement it. One of my companies is heavily involved in medical research. Something that I ave always wondered is, are mutants suitable to give blood? There has been a lot of media hype and most blood banks are now refusing mutant blood. I would like, with you permission, to have a blood drive at the school. With the blood my scientists would analyse it to see its compatibility with humans. If compatible, it could be a great boon for the mutant community, as it would show that mutants can contribute to saving lives.”
“We’d need to take a bit more information than a regular blood donation, such as your abilities so we can watch for side effects. But, once we have the samples we could begin running some clinical trials to see if it’s viable. I know it’s a lot to ask, but I’ve wanted to do this for a while, but haven’t seen any way to, as I’ve never been able to fins such a large group of mutants. If you don’t want to then I completely understand, and I shall be donating to you regardless of your choice, but I hope you will consider it.”
If she agreed then he would have access to all the mutant blood he could want, and given to him freely as well. If she declined, then he would look for an alternate solution. One way or another, he would get the mutant blood samples.
Tricity quirked an eyebrow and didn't reply at first to the man's question. 'Is he serious?' After all the experiments and horrible things that have happened to some of the mutants here, she doubted anyone would be willing to give up blood. "Well, as noble as your intentions sound, I don't think anyone would be willing to participate in the drive. The DNA in a mutant's blood would probably not mix well with a human's anyway. It's been tried before... Forcefully... Unless there was some way you and your... company.. could figure out how to bypass the mutation. Then it would be like getting blood from a human anyway and thus, a waste of time and money instead of just using humans."
Tricity sat forward and rested her arms on the desk in thought. "I suppose you could take a sample of my blood and see if it helps in some way. When there are results with that, I'll see about this blood drive. How does that sound?" She wasn't too sure of this man now. Scientists and this house just didn't mix well.
Hunter could sense that she seemed a little uneasy about the suggestion, but when she offered a sample herself he presumed it was for her students, which was more than understandable.
“That would be prefect. I’ve heard rumour of forceful experimentation on mutants, and would like to stress the completely voluntary nature of this project, along with the full disclosure of the findings. If experiments on mutants are to happen, and unfortunately it seems that they are, I’d like to see the mutants in control.”
He’d have to get James to make the results fit, and who knows, if this actually worked he may just do it to benefit the mutant community. After all, they’d be easier to hunt if they could integrate with the rest of humanity.
“Anyway, I’m no scientist myself, merely an enthusiast, so I’ll leave the matter to my top man, Dr Ingram. I’ll have him drop by some time during the week if that’s alright. Now, for the main reason why I’m here, the donation. Where should I transfer the money to and how, if I may ask, do you intend to spend it. I’d like to know how I’d be benefiting the students.”
"The money would go to funding for students who intend to take classes outside of the school, meaning college level. We don't have that kind of curiculum yet, though I'm hoping it happens soon." Tricity paused a moment and looked over the man again with a smile. "Thank you, again. This is very kind of you. I'd be happy to speak to this Dr. Ingram about the results of the testing. Just have him contact me and we can set up an appointment. Does this mean I won't be seeing you again?"
“If I can find the time I’ll return with Dr Ingram to collect the blood sample, however I can make no guarantees.” Hunter had every intention of coming back with Dr Ingram, because if they couldn’t find a way to make the results go the way he wanted to it might be his last visit.
Hunter pulled out his cheque book, “Should I make this out to the institute?” He was hoping that this was not going to be a worthless investment, and that they could get the results that he wanted.
"Yes, that would be fine..." He was so curious. Hopefully Charles would have more information about him when he left and she was able to speak with him privately. "Once again, I appreciate this donation and thank you on behalf of Charles Xavier and the students."
