The X-men run missions and work together with the NYPD, striving to maintain a peaceful balance between humans and mutants. When it comes to a fight, they won't back down from protecting those who need their help.
Haven presents itself as a humanitarian organization for activists, leaders, and high society, yet mutants are the secret leaders working to protect and serve their kind. Behind the scenes they bring their goals into reality.
From the time when mutants became known to the world, SUPER was founded as a black-ops division of the CIA in an attempt to classify, observe, and learn more about this new and rising threat.
The Syndicate works to help bring mutantkind to the forefront of the world. They work from the shadows, a beacon of hope for mutants, but a bane to mankind. With their guiding hand, humanity will finally find extinction.
Since the existence of mutants was first revealed in the nineties, the world has become a changed place. Whether they're genetic misfits or the next stage in humanity's evolution, there's no denying their growing numbers, especially in hubs like New York City. The NYPD has a division devoted to mutant related crimes. Super-powered vigilantes help to maintain the peace. Those who style themselves as Homo Superior work to tear society apart for rebuilding in their own image.

(OOC: Continued from Going On Without You) Being one of the few members of the mansion and the team that could pilot such a craft Sam had always left a spare pack with a few days supplies on the jet. Luck did after all favor the prepared and seeing as he was about to leave without Alex, he was going to need as much luck as possible. As he gave everyone a slight nod and turned the Jet on Sam buckled up and started the engines the basketball courts splitting apart for take off.
As they were in the air five minutes before Alex was supposed to arrive, Sam picked up his phone and dialed for Alex. Clearing his throat and looking to both Kaz and Sara he said, ”Not a word…” the phone rang once as he spoke, ”Hey Al, I know your about to head to the hanger…. But….. it might not be the best idea seeing as we already left…. I know your really, really, really mad but I want you to know that I’ll be calling you when we land and hopefully you won’t be to upset still, I only left you behind because I didn’t want something to happen to you…” Sam paused for a response before saying, ”Miss you…”
Getting a sour taste in his mouth after the conversation ended abruptly as Alex slammed her phone shut Sam made sure that everything was running as planned. Shuddering slightly when she told him he was a dead man Sam hoped that both Sara and Kaz’s ears couldn’t pick up the conversation. He knew that if Sara had really wanted to it wouldn’t be too difficult for her to listen in on the conversation.
”Anywho…” Sam said as he tried to break the tension his hand pushing the throttle forward as their altitude increased with each passing second. ”Sara seeing as you aren’t part of the team I can ‘t order you around but if your willing to help us, we can really use it…”
Sam paused as he looked to Kaz, ”You on the other hand for the most part are going to be sticking close to me, there are some things that your going to need to help me with, mainly helping the rest of our team get mutants out of the country safely…” he paused for a minute then quickly added, ”And no killing, even if you think, or know that deserve it I want fatal attacks kept down to a minimum, people are scared Kaz, there is no reason to give them more to fear…”
Sara had been running through a check list in her head, even after they took off and she’d dug her claws, clenching her fingers till the fur around her knuckles puffed out and stretched. She did not like flying. Not one bit, and it didn’t help that she distinctly remembered a dream taking place in the future where the X-jet blew up.
Sara mentally tore her thoughts away from that memory. Remembering that it was only a dream and the check list was something much more important to check on. She was currently wearing her normal cloths. Her top was frayed at the edges. Sleeveless and her elongated body made it so the hem of the shirt only barely reached the top of her cargo pants. Rips were at her knees and the seams were worn to the point of looking fuzzy along their creased edges. Sure Sara could order Koga to buy nice cloths, (By tossing him over her shoulder to drag him on a shopping trip) but she liked the comfortable look. A long coat, and a long leather cuff that normally covered the scare that wrapped around her right wrist from the first registration camps, had sat next to her on another seat in the team holding area, over a backpack, that was fraying at the edges just like her cloths. Inside the backpack was more money than Sara had ever cared to think about carrying, and a set of nice neat business cloths. Bribery normally worked best when one looked professional. Not comfortable.
Mean while, Sara couldn’t help but pick up on the conversation Sam was having with Circe over the phone. When she realized she’d bitten her lip, she wasn’t sure if it was because of Sam, or if it was because of the nerves of being inside a jet and being in the air. And now, it was off to Romania at several hundred miles per hour, more, than Sara really wanted to think about.
The phone clicked off and Sam seemed to be handling the conversation in his own way. Getting down to business as if it didn’t happen. Due to their shared numbers on their backs, Sam was probably the person on the X-men that Sara understood the most. She sighed and her hand rested for a moment on the back of his seat where, on the other side, his shoulder would be.
Sara seeing as you aren’t part of the team I can ‘t order you around but if your willing to help us, we can really use it…”
“You couldn’t order me around even if I was on the team.” Sara said, hinting only a tiny bit of a tease in her voice. It was her way of trying to help draw Sam’s thoughts away from Circe. Hoping the little jiving would help and not make her sound completely idiotic or make Sam feel worst. “I’ve got two errands to run when we land.” Sara said as she unbuckled her seat belt and pulled a small bag of tiny gem stones from her pocket. Then leaning forward so she could talk between the two men at the front. “but if you give me a time and a place, I can try to be there.”
She then held the little bag up between Sam and Kaz. “These are meant to take care of the language barrier. Just swallow one.” Sara demonstrated, holding one tiny gen out on the index digit of her paw like hand then flicking it into her mouth and down the hatch. She then proceeded to introduce herself as Sara in Chinese, Spanish, Ancient Egyptian that had to be her favorite, and then Romanian.
(I hope Sara having the Gems with her, from Slate, is ok. Trying to skip over things that would have to be explained later. I can always edit.)

Cracking his neck, Kaz tried to make himself as comfortable as he could. The chairs in the jet weren't all that great, at least not compared to the chairs he normally sat in, like the very expensive though extremely comfortable ones at the Warehouse. While he was thinking of getting comfy, Sara was apparently trying to see how much stress and pressure the arms of the chairs could take before breaking. It made Kaz smile and chuckle a bit. "That's right, you don't enjoy flying."
Sam's conversation might as well have been on speakerphone. Like Sara, Kaz clearly heard the exchange of words, though unlike her, he didn't shy away from it. After the call ended. "Probably not the best move there hotshuff." He said as he finally found the right position to sit in to make the ride the most comfortable. 'Oh yay, I get to be babysat, and babysit people, lovely.' He thought to himself as Sam spoke. "Oh, don't worry, I don't have to kill anyone." Kaz couldn't help but look at Sara and smirk. He wanted to ask her what she was doing on the jet, but decided to leave it alone for now.
The smirk faltered when she pulled out and opened a bag with gems that he had never seen before. Sara went on to not only explain what they did, but demonstrated as well. As he reached and picked up a small handfull, "How long do they last? And where'd you get'em?"

Irritated by Kaz eavesdropping and making a comment about his phone conversation Sam bit his tongue and ignored the comment, it was all he could do for the moment. Pushing the throttle forward to increase the Jet’s speed Sam looked back and eyed the bag of jems and then turned his eyes forward and let out a small sigh. Deciding to answer the question Kaz directed to Sara he cleared his throat, ”Slate right?” he was a leader of the X-Men after all and seeing as half his team was already ingesting the same jems in Romania Sam figured it would be narrow odds to be anyone other than Slate.
Having a sudden distrust in Sara now that he assumed she knew Slate, Sam was worried if she was working for the Kabal leader. It would still be Sara the cat woman he trusted with his life but he would defiantly need to tone down some of the things he would say in front of her. As far as he was concerned Slate was not to be taken lightly, he did after all take over the Kabal, the faction that Tricity had no trust in what so ever, and as far as he knew, there was no such thing as a good dictator.
Eyeing the radars in front of him he debated mentioning his mistrust of Slate but again bit his tongue, and focused on the empty skies ahead. ”You wouldn’t be part of the team if you didn’t follow orders…” Sam said with a smirk on his face as he let out a small laugh directed towards Sara, who had tried to comfort him from the phone conversation not to long ago. ”Also that’s fine Sara, do what you need to do and then meet us back at the spot where we land the Jet that will be our base of operations during our stay her, we can use all the help we need.”
Oh good. KAz remembered. "No." Though thanks to the times Sara had been locked in solitary confinement in the first registration act, she no longer hurt herself in her panics. In fact, she had been forced to learn to control them.
”Slate right?”
"Yes. Slate." Sara said with a tilt of the head when Sam sighed. Apparently Sam wasn't happy about this. It didn't surprise Sara. She wasn't sure how happy she was about it. But she knew being involved with Slate, and the Kabal was better than sticking around and doing nothing. Sure there were the x-men whom she shared the mansion with as a home now, but she still wasn't sure how much she could trust them. Some how it was easier to take jobs from people she could distance herself from. Call it an experiment for herself. If she could handle things from the KAbal where she could put some distance, maybe she had the eXtra stuff it took to do something else.
"I've used these gemstones before." Sara admitted as she shifted her attention from Sam's eyes to Kaz, then back. "You only have to swallow one, and it lasts as long as it is in your system. so hit the toilet one too many times and you're stop being multilingual."
You wouldn’t be part of the team if you didn’t follow orders…”
"Exactly why I've never been part of a team. I don't follow orders. Never have." Sara said continuing with the tease in her voice. At least some of the comforting worked. Sara wasn't sure what she actually thought of Sam's actions, but she didn't know the entire story between Sam and Alexandra.
Sara nodded at Sam's instructions about meeting back at the jet. Did that mean another jet ride? Her tail twitched between her ankles and she felt her fur on her arms stand up, while her skin went all prickly. One problem at a time Sara reminded herself. then smoothed the fur on her arms back down Feeling the bump of the scar on her right wrist. "I'd rather stay busy while we're here anyways. I should be back by the early morning, if not the late evening. It's hard to say."

Kaz listened to Sara and Sam shoot the breeze. He didn't have much to say himself, his questions had been answered. He put the gems in a secure place in one of the pouches at his waist where they'd be accessed easily. He wouldn't not use the gems just because they came from Slate, though he wondered where he had gotten them from, but there was something more important than that for Kaz: How long would the gems work for him? Since his body was quite hyperactive though efficient, each gem could last for quite a while or for only a short time. It wasn't very accurate, he would have to test it one out eventually.
Pulling out his palm pilot, he searched for hotels in Romania and booked the Presidential Suite. Until they knew exactly what they were going to be doing, he'd stay there, claiming to be in the country on business. With that covered he sent a message to the hotel telling them he'd need to speak to the manager apon ariving and to expect curios to be dropping things off for him. If he was to be there on business, he'd look the part. Some time before, Kaz had had a few suits and full wardrobes, with accessories, all hand picked and tailored specifically for him, set up and placed in a few locations, Norway, Egypt, Brazil, South Africa, California and New York, and China. He would have his things sent from Norway to the hotel in Romania ASAP. Transportation was next on his list of things to do. Kaz placed an order for a rental car to be dropped off at the hotel, he didn't give them a time frame, so he would be paying for each day that he had it. Anything and everything else Kaz could think of, he already had, sitting in the cargo area of the jet.
Having noting else to do, Kaz leaned back in his chair to relax for the rest of the flight.
