The X-men run missions and work together with the NYPD, striving to maintain a peaceful balance between humans and mutants. When it comes to a fight, they won't back down from protecting those who need their help.
Haven presents itself as a humanitarian organization for activists, leaders, and high society, yet mutants are the secret leaders working to protect and serve their kind. Behind the scenes they bring their goals into reality.
From the time when mutants became known to the world, SUPER was founded as a black-ops division of the CIA in an attempt to classify, observe, and learn more about this new and rising threat.
The Syndicate works to help bring mutantkind to the forefront of the world. They work from the shadows, a beacon of hope for mutants, but a bane to mankind. With their guiding hand, humanity will finally find extinction.
Since the existence of mutants was first revealed in the nineties, the world has become a changed place. Whether they're genetic misfits or the next stage in humanity's evolution, there's no denying their growing numbers, especially in hubs like New York City. The NYPD has a division devoted to mutant related crimes. Super-powered vigilantes help to maintain the peace. Those who style themselves as Homo Superior work to tear society apart for rebuilding in their own image.

(OOC: Just Wire and I please... atleast until the enemy is dealt with)
Zeke walked carefully down the hall. He had retrieved the Influxor from his office without incident, and now he stopped in the middle of the hallway and stared down the device. The intruder was tall and dark from the look on the view screen, but he couldn't really tell much else. It seemed that whoever it was that was in here had known exactly how to bypass the Influxor... by cloaking.
Indeed, whoever had entered the school and attacked Zeke had been invisible, but only long enough to evade the Influxor. That meant there was some weakness to this ability somehow... but Zeke didn't exactly know what it all meant. So he waited.
He put the Influxor away and turned back to Wire, "We're dealing with a tall dark intruder, probably mid-twenties, I don't know what gender... but probably male."
Turning back to the hall, he walked to the place where the Influxor had picked up a small trace of the enemy. Right now, all was silence. But who knew how long that would last?
"Ahhhhh!!!" Zeke yelped, as a rushing pain hit his head like a boulder. The pain from the attack a few minutes ago was rushing back, and he cried out when it struck. Clutching his head, he fell to his knees. Then, he slowly pulled himself up, "I'm fine Wire... but something feels very wrong around here..." he gasped and staggered to the wall. "Whoever is around... is very close. I feel it."
As Zeke fell to the floor, Dominic looked around the hallway for the cause of the mental attack. 'UGH, where is he?!.' He stood in front of Zeke, keeping an eye out for the intruder, but he still didn't see anyone. Wire put his fingers together again to produce more of his strings. It was deathly quiet. He pushed down the talk button on his radio and called to his other teammates. "We're on the first floor hallway, closest to the living room. Zeke says the intruder is close," he whispered and kept moving along. Peeking around the corner and into the living room, Dominic saw the shadow of someone move against the wall directly behind the one they stood behind. He signaled to Glare not to move as he waited for backup to come.
Raphael moved with Fade’s hand on his shoulder, not nearly as quietly as she, but just as well hidden. They had scoured the upper floors without so much as the slightest hint of a life aura to be seen, or any other sign of an intruder having infiltrated the mansion. They were already heading for the nearest staircase as Wire radioed in the location of the intruder. He nodded to the fuzzy green outline of Fade and then led the way quickly down the stairs and towards the hallway nearest the living room. He crept up to the door opposite of Wire.
“Where at?” He murmured, quietly, aware that both he and Fade were invisible.

Daria was nearby, having just sent the kids to the danger room. Her mouth itched for a cigarette but she knew she couldn't smoke in the mansion, or near an intruder.
She crept along the halls on silent feet, her body long and graceful like a cat, her ears perked and rotating ,her tail in the air.
Dominic was startled at the sound of Raphael's voice, but he nodded toward the living room as he remained pressed against the wall. He pointed toward them, well, in the direction it sounded like Raphael and Fade were, and then pointed to the living room. Wire figured it would be best for the two of them to enter the room since they were invisible and could see if the intruder was really there. He really wished he was a telepath right about now. Communication would be a hell of a lot easier between them all.
Wire stepped off the wall and looked down the long hallway, wondering where Daria was. Technically, she was in charge of them and should be giving the signal on what to do and he didn't want to give out commands when it wasn't his place to. He was just anxious to get this intruder before anything bad happened.

As Soon as she smelled familiar scents, Daria crept towards them. She appeared beside Wire, hoping she didn't scare him by teleporting to his side.
She came in time to see him give instructions to two people she could smell but couldn't see. She recognized Fade's scent and nodded, agreeing with Wire's plan. She crouched low beside the door, ready in case anything happened.

Zeke slowly stpped forwar and signaled to the others to follow him. There was something far more to this threat... and he didn't know what it was. It was some sort of a personal vendetta. It was against Zeke. And he knew it. So he walked slowly forward, hoping the rest would follow.
They wouldn't have a chance.
In a flash, time stood still. A man appeared before Zeke. He was tall and hairy. He wore a large yellow leather jacket and was grinning sadistically into Zeke's eyes. "Hello Ezekiel."
The other X-Men were either frozen stiff or time was standing still. This episode wasn't happening was it? Zeke shook his head a little and wondered if the recent injury was effecting his brain. "No, this isn't an illusion or dream or anything like that Zeke." The man spoke. "This is real. Your friends can't save you now... I'm gonna kill you" He spoke slowly to get his point accross.
Ezekiel said one last sentence before moving. "No time to talk, I got to stop you..." But before he could move on the man, his cell phone chirped. The little computer spoke, "I've lost it... the data!!"
The man chuckled and Zeke's eyes bugged out. "You have it!" Zeke thrust his finger out accusing. The man stepped back and spread his arms wide. "All in a days work son..."
Zeke waited no longer. He ran at the man, something he hadn't appearantly expected. He bowled him over in a second, and the two grappled on the ground. Suddenly, the form beneath Zeke changed, into a woman. Still in the yellow leather jacket. She fought him hard, and tried to claw his face with her long nails. Jumping back at the site of the gender change, Zeke now stood over her form. She moved in to take his feet out from under him, but he was too quick.
He shot a bolt of sulfur composing a large spike in midair, and thrusting it deep into her lungs. The spike puncutured her right lung, and she gasped for air, then rolled over. Zeke examined more closely... she was dead.
Suddenly, time came back. The X-Men began to move again. Only, to them, they would see the duel happen in lightning motion, without a chance of interference.
And here Zeke stood over her body. Leaning down, he searched her, but couldn't find a data disk anywhere. Had she, or he for that matter, hidden it? Had it been destroyed?
He had to find out...
He turned back to the X-Men. "I think I just dealt with our intruder. Time contoller I think... plus gender changes and invisibility. She.... or he... tried to kill me. I had no choice..." He fell back into a sitting position on the floor, gasping for some air. Man, he hated having to defend himself.

Daria hadn't had much contact with Zeke but as second in command of the Xmen (moving up a notch now that Cassiel was out of order) and having had too much personal expereince with killing people she felt it her duty to be the first to step forward.
"What was that about?" she questioned. "Are you okay?" She squatted beside him after slightly sniffing the dead woman's body.

Zeke looked up and stared at the second in command blankly. He frankly didn't know what to say. One thing was certain, he wasn't okay. The data wasn't here. This intruder had got through without his knowing. His best friend had been killed only a few weeks ago, in his arms. He was about to get married to the most beautiful girl in the world, but yet was running for his life most of the time. He was a hunted man. He was a haunted man.
No... he was not all right.
But he just stared back dumbly. He didn't say a thing, he just stared. He couldn't speak. He couldn't scream out what his heart felt. He couldn't cry out what he believed. He couldn't do anything but stare.
Then, suddenly, he found the urge to stand to his feet. Still silent, he walked away... towards the Danger Room. Before he turned the corner, he finally looked back and spoke, "I've dealt with the intruder. You can notify Tricity everything is all right." Without another word he rounded the corner and disappered, looking for Evie.

Daria blinked and then shruged, lighting a cigarette.
"Alright, everyone....that was good... You're off the hook. Wire, good job man." she exhaled tiny smoke rings as she stood. Focusing hard on the dead person's body, she teleported it to the infirmary then left a message on Tricity's cell.
"Glare 'handled' the intruder. Peculiar person, if you wanna look he or she is in the infirmary."
She surveryed the halls and leaned against the wall.
As Dominic watched Zeke step up to head into the living room, he put his arm out to stop him...but then things suddenly changed. Glare had seemed to disappear in fast moving blurs zoomed throughout the living room. As soon as it started, it ended, and two bodies were down on the floor. "What in God's name just happened?!" Wire touched his fingertips together to produce more of his strings and stepped forward toward the unconscious body, ensuring it wasn't getting up. He bent over and searched the intruder's body as Glare went on to explain the blurs he had seen moving around. 'Time bender...whoa,' he thought, turning around as Zeke stood up to leave. 'Weird...'
"Alright, everyone....that was good... You're off the hook. Wire, good job man," Daria said to the team. He nodded at his superior and grabbed the cigarette from her hand with his wires, crushing the stick, and leaving it disintegrated on the wood floor. "Tisk, tisk." She suddenly teleported herself and the intruder's body out of the room and Wire looked over at Fade and Raphael. "Well, that was...confusing...welcome to the X-Men." The sudden familiar shuffling of slippers in the quiet hall made him turn his head toward Tricity.
Tricity came hurrying down the hall, as best she could, seeing the X-Men near the main living room. "Ok, so...what's going on? And what's with Zeke? He completely ignored me when he came into the Danger Room, grabbed Severity, and left. Daria said something about the intruder's body in the infirmary??" She turned off her radio since they were all here and counted for.
