The X-men run missions and work together with the NYPD, striving to maintain a peaceful balance between humans and mutants. When it comes to a fight, they won't back down from protecting those who need their help.
Haven presents itself as a humanitarian organization for activists, leaders, and high society, yet mutants are the secret leaders working to protect and serve their kind. Behind the scenes they bring their goals into reality.
From the time when mutants became known to the world, SUPER was founded as a black-ops division of the CIA in an attempt to classify, observe, and learn more about this new and rising threat.
The Syndicate works to help bring mutantkind to the forefront of the world. They work from the shadows, a beacon of hope for mutants, but a bane to mankind. With their guiding hand, humanity will finally find extinction.
Since the existence of mutants was first revealed in the nineties, the world has become a changed place. Whether they're genetic misfits or the next stage in humanity's evolution, there's no denying their growing numbers, especially in hubs like New York City. The NYPD has a division devoted to mutant related crimes. Super-powered vigilantes help to maintain the peace. Those who style themselves as Homo Superior work to tear society apart for rebuilding in their own image.

It all left a bad taste in his mouth, this wasn't revenge, this wasn't even justice, this was some laughable cruelty. He wanted control in the world and he got nothing. He got a dead a sister and betrayal from two people he believed he could trust...They showed hints of goodness something he didn't look for in most of his companions... He wouldn't make the mistake of trusting anyone again.
Abyss sat in a no name pub off of a no name interstate he had no idea what he was doing her.He had a stolen pick up truck with a broken enemy in the back of it. He wanted the man dead...for the life of him he couldn't bring himself to finish the job... He had hurt his little sister, he had done everything but stopped his heart beat the man wouldn't be using his leg ever again. he would most likely die from one of the wounds he had given the man... was it what Pluto had talked about...That Garret was one of the few goods in the world and at the head of a mutant Utopia...one that he actually ended up opposing... A perfect slice of the world for mutants...in that arctic yes, but all theirs also yes...what if Seizure was destined to make the world better for mutants? When he first came upon him he couldn't stop himself, even with out resistance. by the time he came out of the rage he couldn't make himself finish the job. He almost felt bad about it. He finished yet another bottle of whiskey...he hated whiskey. He stood up and the whispers hushed again. most of the town must of been in there, and not a one of them had the courage to speak to him, the bar keep, simply walked away with his hands up, like he walked in with a gun drawn. so he helped himself. He walked to the pick up in the gravel parking lot and looked at the broken body that lay there. and wondered if he should finish the job or give fate a chance to put him back together...fate had its work cut out for him.
He picked up seizure and dragged him by is mangled leg toward some nearby railroad tracks and considered leaving the body there, to either be mangled or dragged off the tracks by some good Samaritan. Eventually he realized he'd been staring at the tracks so long that a train was passing right in front of him and had been for awhile. His left hand still held onto what was left of Seizures destroyed ankle. He tossed Seizure up into a one of the cars and was done with him just like that. He turned around to see three cars. Two men with rifles trained on him and a man with a big mustache and a badge.
Abyss smiled and held out his wrists. daring anyone of the three to make a move toward him. "You boys don't get many mutants like me threw here do ya?" he took a calm step forward. "I tell you what, you all behave your self and your town can still be standing when I leave." The sheriff started to say something but Abyss simple shook his head cutting him off. " One word is all it'll take to end the lives of all one hundred and fourteen people in this back water town, .save you and Barney the trouble." He took his next step and found that not a one of them was willing to shoot or speak up. the rest of his walk was done while he whistled the theme to The Andy Griffith show.
Abyss followed the little clues of what minuscule bread crumb trail he could find to get to Seize in the end it happened that he ended up crossing paths with the man on the way to what would have been another dead end lead. Chance was in Abyss's favor and utterly out of seizure's control. Ayss saw red and absolute rage washed over him, He had gotten more of the story since the actual battle was thriving, it turned out that while yes Sebastian had indeed betrayed them it was only against the Haywire Virus, something that if Sebastion, Garret and Pluto had simply came and talked to them they might have handled in a better fashion.. Pluto's part in the success of the scheme was dubious and stemmed from a dream, but that would come later.
The man looked up at him from the stand on the side walk and didn't so much as tremble...he didn't beg for mercy, he didn't even try to run...He was committing suicide. It wasn't murder if you stood in front of a train and got run over it was suicide. The pale figure stood before him even as Abyss blanked out in a rage.
He stood over a bruised and bloody mess that was once a friend, he had experienced life at its most painful at the man's hands and helped him threw a hard time. and now surely he had returned the brutal favor. He looked around him and noted that the crowded New york street was empty...a cameraman about nine blocks away was the soul fool brave enough to stand on the same street as the pair. a near by wall held a smear of what could of only been Garret's blood. One of his legs was bent at odd angle and looked crumpled. Abyss looked around dazed and felt terrible, It didn't look as if Seizure's chest was moving... he glanced a t a beat up pick up on the side of the street and lifted the body and gingerly set it in the back of the truck.
This was Pluto's Scion of mutant revolution, the leader of an artic refuge that was human free...a paradise of Ice. and that man lead it as a healer...had he destroyed the hope of a generation and a future for mutants? In the name of his blood thirsty sister?
He had, and would do it again and angain if the choice was given... yet still Garret deserved a proper burial at the very least and Abyss needed a drive. He took the pickup that happened to still have the keys in the ignition...he guessed the passengers escaped the scene when they saw him on his rampage. who cared.
He drove the small truck to a gas station and then until it was to a quater of a tank. He stopped at the first small town to boast a pub. When he got out of the truck to his fascination he noted that Seizure was breathing shallow short breathes. Had he managed to survive his primal out burst? He walked into the pub to have a drink while he let seizure die in peace.
