The X-men run missions and work together with the NYPD, striving to maintain a peaceful balance between humans and mutants. When it comes to a fight, they won't back down from protecting those who need their help.
Haven presents itself as a humanitarian organization for activists, leaders, and high society, yet mutants are the secret leaders working to protect and serve their kind. Behind the scenes they bring their goals into reality.
From the time when mutants became known to the world, SUPER was founded as a black-ops division of the CIA in an attempt to classify, observe, and learn more about this new and rising threat.
The Syndicate works to help bring mutantkind to the forefront of the world. They work from the shadows, a beacon of hope for mutants, but a bane to mankind. With their guiding hand, humanity will finally find extinction.
Since the existence of mutants was first revealed in the nineties, the world has become a changed place. Whether they're genetic misfits or the next stage in humanity's evolution, there's no denying their growing numbers, especially in hubs like New York City. The NYPD has a division devoted to mutant related crimes. Super-powered vigilantes help to maintain the peace. Those who style themselves as Homo Superior work to tear society apart for rebuilding in their own image.

Predator sighed as he looked down upon the complex. He had been looking down on that particular area for most of the day, and as the sun started to fall below the horizon he finally had to admit that it was unlikely that any police traps were there. He was reasonably certain that his little hiijnx with the police two days earlier had thrown them off his trail, but it was never too bad to be cautious. However, after watching the comings and goings of the Sanctuary, and with it being nearly nightfall, Predator decided that he must either go in now or wait until the next day. He wanted to enter before nightfall, that way if he needed to leave without being seen it would make it that much easier.
So, with those and other similar thoughts, Predator launched himself off of the roof top and caught hold of a streetlight wire, swinging around it and using the momentum to propell himself on to the top of a nearby lampost, from which he could see the characteristic golden doors that had become the hallmark of the sanctuary. He stopped there, perched upon the post, for a moment or two, doing a quick rescan of the premises, before dropping to the ground on the other side and walking towards the building. Honestly, Predator had no clue what to do once he got inside. He just hoped he ran into someone he knew. What he really needed was to run into Abyss, as he was the one who had recruited Predator into the Order.
Abyss hummed to him as he sat at the front desk….what was he doing at the front desk? He had given Lisa a three day weekend; it was no easy task either. He ended up having to threaten her with Pluto, The clone loved to annoy the all business secretary with any where from bring up a stereo and playing the same song hundreds of times, to falsely hitting on her., to counting loudly in a corner. Over the ears they had developed a love hate relationship, Pluto loved to bother her, Lisa Hated him for it. On top of the threat he had to physically pick the woman up and remove her from behind her desk after the forth, oh I need to just do this one more thing had occurred. So he set behind the desk in a too small chair surfing the net while he waited for the phone to ring or a newbie to come in. He yawned and laughed as he browsed the site called mismatch.com the sight was dedicated to foolish humans taking a swing at taking down a mutant in a one on one rumble. The results were heavily tilted to one side and his favorite was when a full grown male police officer attempted to subdue a mother of triplets and the triplets merged into one gigantic furred beast with three heads, he watched the video eight times trying to figure out if he got knocked out or wet himself first.
He finally came to the end of the internet and sighed. He started to write up a to do list for the coming moth, things he wanted to accomplish before… of course once he started to get something useful done he would get interrupted.

Predator slowly ambled towards the foyer, stalling himself. He had come this far, he had gone over his decision hundreds of times in his mind, and yet at the threshold of his new life, he had to pause for a moment and go over it again, to reassure himself that he was most certain that this is what he wanted. The thought of seeing and conversing with other mutants who shared his ideals on a daily basis was daunting, but the fact that he would belong to an elite group that worked to destroy the failure of the humans once and for all was the clincher. The only thing he worried about was how it was structured. He was notoriously bad at accepting authority, and he just hoped that he wouldn't chafe with the leader of this group. He and Abyss had gotten along just fine, so he hoped that the same could be same with the leader.
Speak of the devil! As Predator walked into the foyer he noticed a mountain of red man sitting at a ridiculously small-looking desk, laughing at a computer screen. Abyss looked rather funny himself, sitting in the desk made for a normal-sized person, and Predator couldn't help but chuckle a bit. "Well well, who do we have here?" He said, laughingly. "Hey man, how have you been? What are you laughing at, and what the hell are you doing in a chair that small?" Predator clasped Abyss's hand, and smiled.
~~"Well well, who do we have here?" "Hey man, how have you been? What are you laughing at, and what the hell are you doing in a chair that small?"
Abyss glanced up at the man he met not too long ago on a roof top, on a whim to chase a mutant to offer a refuge. He silently thanks the stars that it was him sitting here and not one of his brothers who would have misinterpreted the casual attitude and laughter. “Hey! Good to see ya.! I’m doing pretty good. I am laughing at this. He turned the monitor so Predator could view it easily. And pushed play on the video.
He chuckled at the expression of the police office as the toddlers merged and then again as the beast swiped knocking the man out…the officer peed first. After the video ended, he addressed the rest of the question. “I am sitting in this chair because I gave our OCD secretary the night off. She hardly takes time for her self so I made sure she did so today. I haven’t broken her chair yet so don’t Jinx me.” He said as he stood to shake the man’s hand.“So are you here for a room, or the whole package? I actually spoke to my brother and he said you are more than qualified.”He left the compliment where it was waiting for the man to decide if he was going to go big or not.

“Hey! Good to see ya.! I’m doing pretty good. I am laughing at this." Abyss turned the moniter so Predator could see what was playing on it.
Predator laughed as the mutant swatted the officer across the arena. "Nice. Poor kids, it'll take ages for them to get the blood out of their fur. Believe me, I know."
“I am sitting in this chair because I gave our OCD secretary the night off. She hardly takes time for her self so I made sure she did so today. I haven’t broken her chair yet so don’t Jinx me. So are you here for a room, or the whole package? I actually spoke to my brother and he said you are more than qualified.”
"Brother?" Predator was confused about what Abyss was talking about. "I didn't know you had a brother. Where did he say he saw me? Eh, whatever, not like it matters." At Abyss's question as to whether Predator wanted the whole package, he smiled. "Oh, I think I'll splurge and go all the way. A guy's got to indulge himself every once and a while, huh?" The compliment flew right over Predator's head, as at that moment was more concerned with flicking through his memories and trying to find a point at which he had met someone who could have been Abyss's brother.
~~ "Nice. Poor kids, it'll take ages for them to get the blood out of their fur. Believe me, I know."
“Something tells me they’ll get used to it. and I know what you mean” he lifted up his tail.” Luckily I wear the right color for it.”
~~"Brother?"
He nodded but was assaulted with more questions before he got a word in.
~~"I didn't know you had a brother. Where did he say he saw me? Eh, whatever, not like it matters.".
“Actually there are six more of us running around that look just like me. Mars played distraction at the prison break. We put two and two together after a little chat with the ladies.”
~~"Oh, I think I'll splurge and go all the way. A guy's got to indulge himself every once and a while, huh?"
“Most definitely particularly when it is a good deal. You can feel out the application when and if you get around to it, a solid break in protocol, he would let Lisa know the details and why he didn’t want to pressure the man into putting information on paper before he felt comfortable doing so. “ we’ll get you a room and show you around the place. I think you know some of the more active members already. One thing I would like to know before I simply forget again, what should I call you?”
Abyss flipped open a phone asking one of the residents to come play front desk duty for a bit and to page if she needed him.
“anything you want to see first? The cafeteria perhaps?” a lot of people coming in didn’t get a chance to sit down to a meal that they didn’t have to watch of their should while they ate to often. It was good introduction to the fact that with sixty plus mutants running around a building you could feel pretty secure with them at your back.
“Something tells me they’ll get used to it. and I know what you mean. Luckily I wear the right color for it. Actually there are six more of us running around that look just like me. Mars played distraction at the prison break. We put two and two together after a little chat with the ladies."
Predator smiled at the mention of the ladies, though he was thinking about how many brothers Abyss had. That could cause a lot of confusion if they all looked similar to Abyss. Predator would just have to pay attention from that point on. "Yes. Well, then, I owe him one. Give him my thanks." Predator was a naturally courteous and nice person, but only to other mutants. Would you make sure to be polite to a cockroach? No, just as Predator is evil to humans.
“Most definitely particularly when it is a good deal. You can feel out the application when and if you get around to it. We’ll get you a room and show you around the place. I think you know some of the more active members already. One thing I would like to know before I simply forget again, what should I call you?”
"I'll have it for you by tommorrow, don't worry." He said, in reference to the paperwork. "Predator is fine, thank you." Predator kept a smile on his face, but it flickered a bit as he thought back onto the day when Louis had died. On that day he had realized what was wrong with the world: humans. That realization had come to him while he was lying strapped to a metal table, every nerve straining, every muscle snapping and twitching. That is when Louis had died, and Predator had been born.
"Anything you want to see first? The cafeteria perhaps?"
"I'm game for anything, really. I didn't realize there was a cafeteria. That makes thing easier, I guess."
~~"Yes. Well, then, I owe him one. Give him my thanks."
“Nah, to be honest he has been above women problems, I think he needed the stress relief, from what I can tell he had quite a bit of fun. Enough so that he might owe you one.”
~~"I'll have it for you by tomorrow, don't worry."
Abyss shrugged, he really didn’t mind either way, paper work was all nice and well but when it came down to it, it was loyalty that they needed not information. “That works just fine. I’m not one to worry.”
~~“Predator is fine, thank you." "I'm game for anything, really. I didn't realize there was a cafeteria. That makes thing easier, I guess."
“Predator it is, and yeah it does, it gives us a break from the rest of the big apple out there if we want and for however long we want it. Let’s, find you a room and show you around, it’s pretty easy to navigate, all parallel halls and what not.”
A shy small green female came in nodded at the two men she rounded the desk and waited for the pair to move along, she hade a form of cybermancy, she could use machines in a way Abyss didn’t really understand, when he used his phone earlier to ask her help he hadn’t dialed any numbers, just knew that she would notice him writing her name. She sat down and her short lime green hair stood on end. The speakers on Lisa’s desk spoke with her voice,
**“take your time boys, I don’t mind in the least.” She was naturally a mute, but so long as there was a piece of electronics around with a speaker she could speak through it.
“Thanks Lectra.” Abyss said nonchalantly and waved Pred toward the elevator.”
“Nah, to be honest he has been above women problems, I think he needed the stress relief, from what I can tell he had quite a bit of fun. Enough so that he might owe you one. That works just fine. I’m not one to worry. Predator it is, and yeah it does, it gives us a break from the rest of the big apple out there if we want and for however long we want it. Let’s, find you a room and show you around, it’s pretty easy to navigate, all parallel halls and what not."
Predator chuckled. For a few seconds he had considered giving Abyss his real name, just so he knew, but had decided against it. That name, though given to him by his mother, belonged in the world of humans. His name was Predator now, and he liked it that way. "Cool, Cool. Thanks, man."
**“take your time boys, I don’t mind in the least.”**
Predator raised a brow as a voice emanated from the computer speakers. He looked for the source, and saw a green female standing off to one side. He nodded at her in greeting and she smiled back.
“Thanks Lectra.” Abyss then waved Predator towards the elevator.
"You know, it might sound kind of strange, but I don't really know anyone. The only people I have regular contact with is Meld and Aura, and even then not for weeks at a time. And now, there are all of these mutants all gathering in this one place. It's mind-boggling."
“My pleasure, I’m always happy to add more to the community.”
He was very like minded as the man before him, He would have told him the same about his name Avello… what foolish humans couldn’t even spell Othello right? And who name a child Othello in the first place?
**“take your time boys, I don’t mind in the least.”**
“Thanks Lectra.” Abyss then waved Predator towards the elevator.
~~"You know, it might sound kind of strange, but I don't really know anyone. The only people I have regular contact with is Meld and Aura, and even then not for weeks at a time. And now, there are all of these mutants all gathering in this one place. It's mind-boggling."
Abyss let out a small chuckle. “ I guess I’ve always been around mutants…when I was in captivity, there were always mutants around and after I escaped I found….” He found his sister…who was now dead. “I found the sanctuary quickly enough, so there was a small enough time where I wasn’t around others and even then, my brothers were with me. But yeah if there was ever a gathering of those who know there blood it is here, aint that right Lectra?”
The phone in his pocket blared. *** “Damn strait.”
Abyss smirked as he pushed the elevator button. First floor down is all the necessities plus some rooms. Its where most of the more active member’s live…the other floors have some rooms the basement is kind of crazy, I avoid it.
