Switcheroo (Freaky Friday Mini-Plot)

(OOC: The nursery rhymes that are referenced in this post are Humpty Dumpty, Jack & Jill, Georgie Porgie, and Taffy Was A Welshman.)

Things were getting so frustrating for the little man as he sat in his darkened basement mixing yet another batch of chemicals together. What had once been a perfectly smooth, egg shaped bald head centuries before was now lumpy and bumpy in a way that no one could ever find attractive. Barely discernible scars ran this way and that over his whole body. His eyes were a wild looking green that seemed to have a life of their own as they flipped back and forth between his beakers of chemicals and the oven where one of his favorite treats was baking.

This was the man of many names... many fairy tale names that is. Formerly Humpedidumpdy Lasandra, an adviser in the Spanish courts, his own clumsiness had spelled his downfall when he fell off of the battlements to the ground below. The surgeons had done their best to fix the damage but their technology was nowhere near the task. If it hadn't been for his mutation kicking in, he would never have survived but as it was he had gone through the rest of his life disfigured. All over the world stories about his clumsiness were told, though no one knew they were about him. In Switzerland he had been going to the well with his girlfriend Jill. The fall had been disastrous and though the stories were told of "Jack & Jill" being brothers, it had been he that had escaped, leaving his lovers battered and broken body at the foot of that horrible hill.

Not only had his clumsiness been insulted but so had his love making ability. Georgie Porgie that kissed girls and then ran away from their vindictive brothers had been him. Those had been sad days to say the least. Where once he had been a powerful adviser to the king, or even just a simple country lover, he was now at the end of his rope. He had moved away and reverted to steeling in order to survive but even that had been a disaster. Living in wales, he had gone by the name Michael Taffely, or Taffy for short. He had made the mistake to steal from one person to many times and it had cost him. The pain of a poker slamming into his head as he slept was something he would never forget and even if he could, the large crevice in the top of his head would forever remind him.

With a quiet ding the timer went off and he rushed over to withdraw his pan of muffins. Soon a piping hot chocolate muffing with white chocolate chips sat on his plate next to a glass of milk as he returned to his chemicals. "This is it... this is really it!" He chortled in delight as he used a dropper to put some on a frog and then on a mouse, "Finally!"

It was a bright sunny day out on Central Park and hundreds of mutants were gathering for the first annual "Peace, Love, Power" rally. Some came in order to express their desire to rule the world, others were there to say how they should help those weaker than themselves, others were there for the love side of things, and still others were there for the free food. Local restaurants had their men walking through the crowd, offering samples to any that wanted them. Chinese, Bar-B-Q, Burgers, Tai, and so many others were all on display. Along with those was one lone man offering muffins and milk. His cart was filled with baked goodness, from the healthiness of bran, to decadence of chocolate, from the fruitiness of blueberry, to the sweetness and bitterness of lemon poppy seed. Every one imaginable was here, baked to perfect and then coated with the special chemicals. It was time for a mass testing. Before he used it himself, the man had to be sure that not only his mind would switch, but his power also. If it didn't, then all was for naught. Without his power he would die like anyone else. With his power, and a good body, he could live forever and eventually take over the world!

(OOC: This is the beginning of the "Freaky Friday" mini-plot. The assignments for switching are as follows...



Please remember the following rules:
1) This plot will run the course of two (2) IC Weeks. Feel free to have normal threads running at the same OOC time, as long as they are outside of the IC timeline.

2) The powers remain in the body that they were originally attached to. All that changes in the mind. For example, Luke's mind would be going into Juka's body. Luke will have all of his normal memories, but he will have a different body and different powers.

3) At the end of two (2) IC weeks, the minds will automatically switch back to the correct body. This happens whether you bump into your doppleganger or not. It is your choice whether the two of you meet up before this deadline.

4) Please put an [FF] in the title of all plots having to do with this thread so there is no confusion about whether it is a body switched post or not.
