The X-men run missions and work together with the NYPD, striving to maintain a peaceful balance between humans and mutants. When it comes to a fight, they won't back down from protecting those who need their help.
Haven presents itself as a humanitarian organization for activists, leaders, and high society, yet mutants are the secret leaders working to protect and serve their kind. Behind the scenes they bring their goals into reality.
From the time when mutants became known to the world, SUPER was founded as a black-ops division of the CIA in an attempt to classify, observe, and learn more about this new and rising threat.
The Syndicate works to help bring mutantkind to the forefront of the world. They work from the shadows, a beacon of hope for mutants, but a bane to mankind. With their guiding hand, humanity will finally find extinction.
Since the existence of mutants was first revealed in the nineties, the world has become a changed place. Whether they're genetic misfits or the next stage in humanity's evolution, there's no denying their growing numbers, especially in hubs like New York City. The NYPD has a division devoted to mutant related crimes. Super-powered vigilantes help to maintain the peace. Those who style themselves as Homo Superior work to tear society apart for rebuilding in their own image.

MFEM stopped at the gates of the acadamy. He set his bags down and slightly tilted his head and looked back as the taxi pulled away. No turning back now, he thought. He went up to the gate and slowly opened it and started walking towards the front door. At multiple times he thought about stopping and walking away. But he kept going, hoping that they would accept him into the school.
He got to the front door and gulped. He slowly put his fist near the door and knocked on the door. Now it was time to wait and hope he wouldn't be turned away. Great... more time to spend with butterflies in the stomich. he said to himself.
After the knock at the door, little Janie came sprinting around the corner and slid down the hallway to the front door. Tricity's head snapped toward the hall as she heard the thumping of the girl's feet running toward no doubtedly the visitor.
"I'LL GET IT!!" the little girl screamed as she went racing passed the living room where Tricity had been sitting. She quickly got to her feet and went after the girl which was next to impossible. Janie phased through a second wall, nearly knocking into Tricity as she came around the corner.
"JANIE, WAIT!!" Tricity yelled, but the child kept phasing through more walls to get to the door faster. "UGH!" She quickly made her way to the front double doors and saw Janie about to yank them open. "FREEZE!"
The little girl literally acted like a statue as she was just about to put her hand on the doorknobs. "Back it up, missy." Janie started walking backward until she bumped into the Headmistress. "You know you don't get to answer the door unless there's a grownup with you." The little girl tried to interrupt, but Tricity put a finger to her lips. "NOPE! Not open for discussion. Now, let's go open the door together."
Janie grabbed Tricity's hand and yanked her toward the doors. She pulled with all her might, but the doors were a bit heavy for her. Tricity took the doorknob to help, but Janie accidentally phased through with all the straining she was doing "JANIE!" She pulled open the door and saw that Janie had bumped into the stranger who had come a-knocking.
"I'm so sorry...Janie! Get over here!" The little girl lifted her head up to look at the young man at the door and smiled from ear to ear. Tricity grabbed Janie's shoulders and pulled her backward so the teen could breathe. "Sorry, she's...a handful. Can I help you?"

MFEM jumped a bit when the little girl phased through the wall. Well, this convinces me I'm at the right place. he chuckled. Then the lady opened the door and apologized He suddenly froze up but slowly calmed down and relaxed and spoke.
"Uhh, Hi. My name is MFEM. Uhh, someone told me that there was a school or something here for mutants. Umm, I'm a mutant and have been living in New York for a while. So, is it alright if I stay here? If not thats ok too. Oh, and it's ok about the girl phasing, just kinda spooked me a bit." That wasn't as hard as I expected it to be he thought.
Tricity smiled and nodded at the newcomer. "Yes, yes of course you can stay here. My name is Tricity or Miss Tipper. Makes no nevermind to me. So,"
"SO! WE need to get to know you first! Um...we need to know what your mutation is exactly and if it will harm you or others. We gotta keep people here safe," Janie said, putting her hands on her hips and trying to imitate Tricity.
"Janie, get your butt back inside right now!" she said, tickling the girl until she gave in and ran off inside. "Sorry...but yea, she's listened to me give that speech a few times. I do need to know what your mutation is like though."

MFEM looked down at te kid as she tried to imitate the lady. Cute. he thought. The he heard the lady tell him about knowing the mutation. He kept his hood low and laid his hand out palm up. Suddenly, air around him started to swirled and glow. In about 5 seconds, a block of wood was in his hand.
"Minor Matter Manipulation. I can alternate the air molocules into another type of molocule. Of course, I can't make anything at random. Right now I'm able to minipulate air into either wood or small pieces of metal. I'm training to see if I can make another material, thats my goal. But now focusing to see if i can change metal into wood or vice versa. Don't worry, I can't hurt anybody with it, and I certainly won't hurt anyone with the things I make. Although, just wondering, is there any places to practice sparring or working out, like a gym?" He smiled a bit.
"Yes there is. We call it the Danger Room. It can create real or simulate real danger for you to practice your skills. Please, come inside." Tricity held the door open to lead him into the hallway where she pointed out the various things in the mansion.
"Down there is the kitchen and dining and living rooms. Upstairs are the dorms where you'll find an empty one, I'm sure. Oh, and stay on the boys' side. The Danger Room is down on this floor," she handed him one of the 'new resident' folders so he could read over the rules and fill out the papers. "When you're done with those, just give them to me or slide it under my door. My room is also on the second floor, on the same wing as the infirmary."

He followed Tricity in and looked around at the mansion. It was amazing... a lot better then that old apartment at least. When he got the papers he looked them over and thought about either getting a drink or setting up his room. He chose room.
"Thank you very much Tri- I mean Miss Tipper. I'll get these papers to you as soon as I can. Now if you'll excuse me I'm going to go set up my room." With that M ark slightly bowed and walked up the stairs towards his room.
