The X-men run missions and work together with the NYPD, striving to maintain a peaceful balance between humans and mutants. When it comes to a fight, they won't back down from protecting those who need their help.
Haven presents itself as a humanitarian organization for activists, leaders, and high society, yet mutants are the secret leaders working to protect and serve their kind. Behind the scenes they bring their goals into reality.
From the time when mutants became known to the world, SUPER was founded as a black-ops division of the CIA in an attempt to classify, observe, and learn more about this new and rising threat.
The Syndicate works to help bring mutantkind to the forefront of the world. They work from the shadows, a beacon of hope for mutants, but a bane to mankind. With their guiding hand, humanity will finally find extinction.
Since the existence of mutants was first revealed in the nineties, the world has become a changed place. Whether they're genetic misfits or the next stage in humanity's evolution, there's no denying their growing numbers, especially in hubs like New York City. The NYPD has a division devoted to mutant related crimes. Super-powered vigilantes help to maintain the peace. Those who style themselves as Homo Superior work to tear society apart for rebuilding in their own image.

Daria ruffled his hair. "Oh, I know. But I stand by my point. You're aware of what you can do and why you shouldn't do it. So, to me, that says alot. If I had a fraction of your self control I'd be set, I think"
Mike smiled and tried halfheartedly to duck his hair to safety. "Well, I'll help your self control if you'll help mine," he laughed. His hair was a mess, retaliation was in order. With no further warning, he grabbed Daria and started tickling her.

"aah-" Daria jumped but couldn't escape Mike's grasp. Laughing hysterically she teleported herself to a branch a bit over head. She squatted down like a cat on all fours, her tail swinging like a pendulum.
Her laughter died down. "That was so uncalled for!" she pretended to be angry.
Mike folded his arms and gave her a very fake stern look. Then, without him giving so much as a reply, she began to feel tickles all over as he used his telekinesis to keep it up while she was out of reach.

Daria screamed again before breakingout into laughter. She leaned forward and "fell" off of the branch, dissappearing as she did so. In mid-teleport she couldn't really do much but she wondered if Mike's telekenesis affected things he couldn't see. Just to make sure, she put up her telepathic resistance.

Daria grinned inwardly and dropped the resistance just before appearing on his back. Her arms wrapped firmly around his shoulders and her legs wrapped around his waste she yelled;
Mike shouted in surprise as she jumped onto his back. Being startled was honestly a nice change. Ever since his powers had developed to a certain point, it was very hard for people to surprise him. These days only books or movies could surprise him, it was a pleasant change for another person to be able to do it.
Still, he couldn't really react, since he had to concentrate his power on steadying himself on the branch. "Ah... there you are," he said weakly, his voice still showing that yes, she had scared him.

Daria laughed heartily. "Cat got your toungue?" she teased, happy she had gotten an advantage on him. "Always wanted to say that."
Looking around a sly grin crossed her face. "Want to know what it's like have you're molecules separate, travel and reassemble?" she asked. "It's only fair, you let me experience flight?"
"I, ah, okay," Mike said, still trying to keep his balance, and a little disturbed at hearing her teleportation described that way. Still, fair was fair... and he was curious where she'd teleport them to.

She laughed at his indeciveness.
"It doesn't hurt, if you're worried about it." She hopped off of his back landing perfectly balanced on her own feet, one in front of the other. "I actually think it's really cool because you're perfectly awar of each molecule-its a very hard feeling to describe i suppose it feels different to everyone."
She spun him around and grabbed his hands. "I have to have physical contact with an object. If I get better I might be able to do it by sight. I've been practicing but I wouldnt trust that with you."
She kept her smile on her face to keep Mike calm. she started slowly breaking apart their legs and making her way upward. The molecules couldn;'t be seen. It was a blurry mass of colors at first as their clothes broke down and then their actual legs. Soon their limbs couldn't be seen and only their torso's were left. She was doing this the hard way but it wasn;'t that difficult. Looking in Mike's eyes she checked to see if her was alright.
"Trying hard not to think on the fact that I only have half my body," Mike replied with a remarkable calm, all things considered, "But other than that, I'm cool."
He wasn't afraid, since he'd seen Daria teleport before and knew that this time wouldn't be any less successful than the others, but the first time experiencing it was a little unnerving. "Should I ask where my legs are?"

Daria grinned.
"Still there! You just can;t see them because youi can't see molecules. I promise you once the rest of you is 'separated' you'll actually be able to feel the individual molecules as the travel. Speaking of which, as long as you're alright, I'd like to get this show on the road."
She then proceeded to separate the rest of their molecules until, had anyone been there to see them, they seemed to dissappear. ((continues in the George washington Bridge thread in NYC))

"This is terribly de ja vu." Daria said.
The rain clouds were still gathering, but she felt safe, so far, and the setting sun was melting into a pool of fire, bright red against the grey of the sky.
It was depressingly poetic and yet poetically promising at once.
Mike grinned as they swooped around the mansion a few times, then glided higher into the sky. "This is where it all started," he grinned. He looked down, making sure that they really were in that spot, right directly over the tree, then smiled gently back at Daria.
