The X-men run missions and work together with the NYPD, striving to maintain a peaceful balance between humans and mutants. When it comes to a fight, they won't back down from protecting those who need their help.
Haven presents itself as a humanitarian organization for activists, leaders, and high society, yet mutants are the secret leaders working to protect and serve their kind. Behind the scenes they bring their goals into reality.
From the time when mutants became known to the world, SUPER was founded as a black-ops division of the CIA in an attempt to classify, observe, and learn more about this new and rising threat.
The Syndicate works to help bring mutantkind to the forefront of the world. They work from the shadows, a beacon of hope for mutants, but a bane to mankind. With their guiding hand, humanity will finally find extinction.
Since the existence of mutants was first revealed in the nineties, the world has become a changed place. Whether they're genetic misfits or the next stage in humanity's evolution, there's no denying their growing numbers, especially in hubs like New York City. The NYPD has a division devoted to mutant related crimes. Super-powered vigilantes help to maintain the peace. Those who style themselves as Homo Superior work to tear society apart for rebuilding in their own image.

David's head poked around the corner and looked up and down the room, he was on the hunt for Shin. He entered the large library, going through the rows of books trying to find his friend. In his arms was a large porcelain vase, something David obviously took extreme care with as he snooped around the room.
It was mid day, so a lot of the students were already in the library, making his job even harder. He had made the vase himself, to replace the one he broke. The feeling of surprise still showed on his face, he had no idea he could learn a skill using his power, he wanted to hurry up and build bigger and better things, but first tings first.
As he exited a row of shelves he turned to his right, nothing of interest there, and without looking he started to walk in the other direction, bumping the large shelf. A few books fell from the top at him He quickly jerked around, trying to make sure the vase stayed unharmed. "Man, I'm gonna be happy when I get this out of mind." He said with a sigh.

The page rustled as he turned it. On it, vague wars were fought and numerous lives were made and lost over the trading of little green sheathes of paper. All the while, humans wore digital watches because they thought they looked cool. “Oh, Ford Prefect. Sass that hoopy frood~” Shin chuckled to himself, then looked up and around, realizing he was in the library. A student across from him at the table held up a finger and ‘shhh’d.
He glanced up as a shelf behind him rustled, quirking an eyebrow. Maybe the school’s Rottweiler was loose again. Slipping a yellowed paper bookmark into the lovingly-used copy of The Hitchhiker’s Guide to the Galaxy, Shin went to explore the disturbance in the Force. He popped his head around the corner of the bookcase, catching sight of David and vase.
“Hmmm…” A few books wer scattered on the floor. "Taking your jar for a walk? I think the mansion grounds are a better place for that." He grinned childishly, bending over to pick a dusty volume off the floor. He silently slipped it back into its place on the shelf.
"No" David responded with a sly smile "Actually I am taking YOUR jar for a walk." David then showed the vase to him, making sure he could see all of the designs. "Now were even." He said handing the vase over. He was waiting to see the look on Shin's face. It hadn't been long since the break, and David didn't look like some rich guy he could just go out and buy something like that.

“Oh… wow,” Shin took the vase, examining it. He certainly wasn’t expecting that from David. Turning it in his hands, he traced the designs. It was nice. Maybe too nice. He looked up, shooting David a jokingly-suspicious eye. “Say, this sort of thing usually costs a pretty penny. You didn’t spend a lot on it, did you?”
David smiled "Surprisingly no, just needed to go out and buy the supplies, which were actually easy to get, then I tried to rent a kiln, but nowhere around here had one, so I paid someone to improvise and it worked." He said laughing. The man he had payed didn't think it could be done, and the look on his face when David had finished was priceless. "The hard part was decorating it, the porcelain was easy to get, and the cobalt was a little harder. Does it look good?"

“Yeah,” Shin replied, honestly astonished. “You made this? Wow, that’s nice. I don’t quite know what to say.” Shin smiled appreciatively, holding up the vase to admire it. He’d never had someone make him something before that wasn’t related to him or wanted money. This sort of thing… well, it was nice. He’d leave it at that. Looking David in the eye, he nodded his head. “I’ll treasure it. Thank you.”
