The X-men run missions and work together with the NYPD, striving to maintain a peaceful balance between humans and mutants. When it comes to a fight, they won't back down from protecting those who need their help.
Haven presents itself as a humanitarian organization for activists, leaders, and high society, yet mutants are the secret leaders working to protect and serve their kind. Behind the scenes they bring their goals into reality.
From the time when mutants became known to the world, SUPER was founded as a black-ops division of the CIA in an attempt to classify, observe, and learn more about this new and rising threat.
The Syndicate works to help bring mutantkind to the forefront of the world. They work from the shadows, a beacon of hope for mutants, but a bane to mankind. With their guiding hand, humanity will finally find extinction.
Since the existence of mutants was first revealed in the nineties, the world has become a changed place. Whether they're genetic misfits or the next stage in humanity's evolution, there's no denying their growing numbers, especially in hubs like New York City. The NYPD has a division devoted to mutant related crimes. Super-powered vigilantes help to maintain the peace. Those who style themselves as Homo Superior work to tear society apart for rebuilding in their own image.

Having given the order to withdraw Hunter hopped down from the roof. A trio of brave, but stupid guards tried to tackle him. One of them, a big guy had brought with him a large machine gun that he quickly dropped on a tripod and opened fire.
Hunter charged them, running straight through the stream of fire they were unleashing at him, the bullet wounds healing almost as fast as they were appearing. Reaching them Hunter grabbed the machine gun in a single hand and crushed it rendaring it useless.
Robbed of their main weapon the guards nerve's began to fail them and they tried to flee. Hunter wrapped a hand around one, crushing his torso. Pounching on another he pulverised him under his bulk. Reaching the third Hunter bit into him with his tusks. Taking a brief drink of blood he spat the corpse out and then in a single bound reached the hole in the camp wall that lead out to the vehicle convoy.
From there he waved the mutants towards the exit, singnalling that it was time to get out of here.
(OOC: Ok folks, time for some exit posts. Please can we have an OOC sign off once you've got into the convoy. Once everyone's in we'll hussel it back to Mondragon labs.)
It was a wonderful sight. Blood and desctruction was everywhere. Syn felt at home in a strange sense. This was all well and good until someone decided to try to ruin her mood. Pieces of earth errupted near her feet. Someone was taking pot shots at her.
She couldn't see where the shots came from, but while she was looking she was charged by another guard. The girl wasted no time in raising her pistol and blasting the man in the face. Some of the blood splattered on her face. Syn smiled wickedly looking for another target.
Her attention was suddenly drawn to the top of a nearby building. A man was shouting. He was shouting for the mutants to make for the vehicles. It was Hunter. Syn hadn't seen him in quite awhile. Not since the initial meeting at the labs, but there he was. He was even taking part in the action. As Syn looked on she watched Hunter charge through a hail of bullets and quickly dispatch three more gaurds. The last one had been bitten by Hunter. This caused all kinds of thoughts to flood Syn's mind, but now wasn't the time.
Looking around for her fellow Order members Syn shot at any guards trying to persue her "family" until all were safe in the convoy. That's when she finally fell back as well.
Voltaire stood in the camp while a guard charged at him with a stun stick. With a quick jab the guard fell down to the ground with a broken nose. The pain from his wounds shot through his body again. Voltaire noted a man standing on the top of a tower shouting for the mutants to retreat to their vehicles. Voltaire felt lucky as he was tired and couldn't do much more. He picked himself up and started his aproach to the escape vehicles. He wasn't moving very fast and he had his left arm wrapped around his stomach as blood seeped through his wounds.
Neena detoured to the Laundry Supply Shack before leaving. James was still tied up on the ground and out cold in a rather large drool puddle. He slurped and mumbled as she picked him up. She grimaced.
"Oh that's lovely...."
Shaking her head she slung him over her shoulder. She wobbled under the weight; she was totally exhausted, and he was heavier than he looked.
"Remind me, why I'm doing this again?"
Mumblemumblemumble
Neena grunted. "Oh yeah.... Right..." She rolled her eyes and continued on.
She kept her focus tight on the jagged opening created in the first blast; there was nothing to be done about the minefield around her. What was done, was done, and could not be undone; thus there was no point in shifting her focus. As she went, however, she chanted her tribe's Last Rights under her breath, just had she had done every since the first death in the camps. And she did so for everyone, mutants and humans alike.
"Mutants! Withdraw! Fall back to the vehicles!" a voice bellowed over the chaos. Neena spared a glance to the person behind the voice.
<"Sounds like a plan."> She followed the others following the order.
Once she reached a transport, she dumped James on the floor. He mumbled again, and Neena wondered if the sedative had begun to wear off. She still had six darts strapped to her wrist, so no worries there. Before climbing in, she turned to see if she could see Sara, Nathan or Tanya, or any of the others she'd come to know.
(OOC: Neena out; I'll see y'all back at the Labs. )

Nathan had been making his way for some time now. He had not yet found where the escape was taking place but he was sure he was fairly close. It was then he heard a great voice boom above the noise and anarchy.
"Mutants! Withdraw! Fall back to the vehicles!"
"You got it," Nathan muttered to himself. Then to Tanya, "we're almost out. Don't worry we're going to make it." He then saw all of the excavation vehicles ready to take away the escaping mutants. It was like a dream come true. Whenever he passed a tank it surely did seem like a dream to him. He could not believe that the resistance was that well equiped.
He and Tanya made their way quickly towards the vehicles. After he had made sure Tanya was safe inside, he climbed inside as well. As the engine hummed to life and drove away he did not look back. If he had, he probably would have seen Neena and several other mutants that he had come to know during his stay at the camps but alas, such is the way of things.

Streak began walking back to where he had last seen Raina. He wanted to make sure she got out safely. Streak had a lot of bugs flying around him because the bug girl was following him. He had a hard time keeping up because of his powers weren't keeping his wounds closed like they used to. "This freakin camp has weakened my powers." Streak said stumbling along and feeling a little faint from all the blood loss and adrenaline rushes.
Streak stopped for a second to rest. That's when he heard a mutant bellow the retreat. Finally I can get out of here and get some medical attention. He thought but he wanted to find Raina. He wanted to make sure she was ok and no one had snuck up on her.
He got back to where he had seen her last and looked around. "Where did she go?" He didn't see her anywhere. "Maybe she left already." He started walking again and suddenly the fatigue really kicked in. He clutched his wounds and said to the bug girl through staggered breathes, "Find Raina... Make... sure she's...safe...get help." Just then he fell down and passed out.
Agent Zero sat atop a small tower several yards above everything, his old contra connections had gotten him a job working for the camp as a guard a day before this all began, luckily for the mutants however he was on their side in all of this, he had been given this mission by an anonymous contact from the mysterious assassins group, his mission was to protect as many mutants as he could
It's crazy, whoever gave me this mission must have known these events were going to take place beforehand, well that doesn't matter, all that matters is that i complete this mission and keep as many of these mutants alive as i possibly can
Emilio quietly thought to himself ,Up until now Emilio had never really been around mutants before so much as have known very well about there existence, due to the media he had become somewhat familiar with who they were and what was going on with them, but he could never have imagined the torment they were being subjected to until the day before when he was working as a guard here and witnessed the cruelty that went on
There just like the people of Cuba Emilio, oppressed, mistreated and cast away by society and the government thats sworn to protect them, you have to relate to them in some way Emilio, to what their going through and what most of them have been dealing with their whole lives
Emilio's voices were talking to him again, yet this time he reflected on what their were saying, these mutants as their were dubbed by society were no different then the people he had sworn to protect before, outcasts from society that want nothing more then to be treated equally, he then setup his rifle and scanned the chaos that was taking place below him
This truly is like home, chaos and turmoil everywhere nothing but bloodshed, but for the first time in a long time its rightoues bloodshed, killing for a pure purpose, killing for the freedom to exist, thats the kind of killing i want to do
He then noticed the silvery man passed out on the ground and a guard charging at his downed body, he quickly unloaded a shot, the bullet pierced the mans head followed by scarlet blood as always, the now dead guard fell to the ground followed by many more which Emilio quickly shot at, scoring two more head shots
lets see how many of you mutants I can keep alive hmm
Pix had been circling Streak with her small army following. So yeah. A silver guy with a bunch of bugs flying around him, just might stick out in a crowd but that was the beauty of the moment. They were in the action where to look odd was the in thing. Poor simple humans.
"Where did she go?"
“The wolf girl” Pix shrugged. Thinking that Streak was speaking of Emerald and she shrugged those little dragonfly shoulders.
"Maybe she left already."
“Well, when you get there you can find out.” Pix stopped next to Streak’s right ear hovering. He really didn’t look good. There was nothing she could do for him yet, but there had to be medical equipment back at the tanks.
“Who?” Pix darted from next to Streak’s ear to right in front of his face before he began to fall. Obediently the large, prehistoric, dragonflies that had been carrying her equipment and her guns dropped it, and moved to hook their legs around Streak’s arms to lift him up. Others moved to under his back and like a buzzing stretcher, they struggled to support him. She was forced to return to her human state, to pick up the equipment as her little friends buzzed together to carry Streak with her to the Tanks. “Sorry Shiny but I don’t know Raina. I only know you’re interesting and I heard the signal to retreat.” Her cold gaze traveled across the crowd of fleeing mutants and chaos. “You’re lucky I find you interesting.” Most others, even mutants, she would simply abandon. So she began making her way to the tanks with Streak in tow.
There were guards suddenly charging them. Pix and Streak. She raised her hand, preparing to send something with a stinger and lots of juicy venom his way, when he dropped dead. Snipers. Nice. A smile creased across pix's features and she looked up at the sniper, giving him a little giggly grin and dainty finger wave.
((OOC: I'm gonna post for both my characters under Nika's account just to keep things brief.))
The explaination from Deathstar sounded like a possibility so Nika took it at face value. The other guy was unknown to Nika but she liked his comment about being a tight knit group.
"Hopefully we all can be a tight group once we all get back to the mansion."
Before anything else could be said Abyss brushed the back of his hand down the cat girl's white hair. Unfortunately for Nika this caused her to purr softly out of instict. Her cheeks felt warm as she began to blush while Abyss explained there were escape vehicles waiting for everyone.
Purring and blushing on a battlefield? What's wrong with me?
Shaking off her embarrassment Nika looked back to Deathstar, Abyss and the other guy.
"Well, let's get out of here then."
With that being said Nika took off as fast as she could for the hole in the wall and the convoy vehicles.

Ali continued supressing the gaurds and creating safe passages for the retreating and escaping mutants. Hunters words rang out over the area and as soon as the last mutant was safe in a vehicle the fire elemental found a vehicle to ride in as well.

Streak woke up a little later being pulled along by the huge dragonflies from earlier. A little groggy Streak said, "I have to find Raina." He got off the dragonflies and said, "You can come with me and help me find her or go back to the vehicles, but either way I have to find Raina." He began walking around when he decided that he should try and get his powers more under control. With his power he extended the silver from his arms and they took the texture of silver wings. Normally he wouldn't have to make the wings but being in the camps, not using his powers for so long, the abuse, injuries from the fighting and everything else compiling together he decided it was better to play it safe and create wings rather than try without them.
Streak took off and began circling high above the camps. He paused over some flames to get an updraft from the heat and looked farther. The flames took him to the height of the tallest building that was still standing. He still didn't see her; however he could stay up here as long as the fire kept burning it took no effort on his part to stay flying. He was going to stay up in the air as long as it took for him to see Raina. He refused beyond all logic to leave without making sure she was safe.
Streak felt responsible for her because he had stepped in to stop her from getting onto the bike with her brother earlier and then they lost each other a little while later. He had no idea what had happened to her as he relaxed circling above the ground. His head swam with endless horrifying scenarios of what could have happened since they had separated.

OOC: Lo and behold, a new form of Zeke's abilities dawns itself, in a very erratic manner.
Meanwhile, Eris is still in Abyss' mind, and will stay there until the medical assistance thread gets up and running.
IC:
Zeke and Evie had left the medical center and entered the ridiculous chaos of the streets (if they could be called that) in the camp. Mutants raced around slaying guards, while guards desperately struggled with their remotes, questioning before they were murdered why they wouldn't work. Some gave up on the remotes and tried to defend themselves with personal combat, none of them lived to tell about it. The mutants that were escaping from this camp were ruthless. From Zeke's perspective, they were pitiful, arrogant, and completely stupid. By killing guards worthlessly, more damage to mutant-human relations was being done.
He couldn't understand the ideology. He wanted so bad to step in the way and make sure that these humans were not killed for nothing. But he couldn't, because he had Evie in tow. And Evie's safety came before anything, before any ideal of his. Sure, Zeke wanted this all to stop. He wanted mutants and humans to be friends again. But he also wanted his future wife to live, and that was a little more pressing at the moment.
He saw the AVPs in the distance, and now chose to look and focus squarely on them. He would not be distracted by these things when the end was so close and right in sight. He looked back at his love, "Close you eyes." She did, trusting him, and he led her onward through the storm toward the vehicles of safety.
Before they reached it though, three anomalies happened nearly simultaneously:
The first was a loud explosion, that occurred close to Zeke and Evie, about twenty feet in front of them. The 'boom' shook area and knocked both of them to the ground, laying on their sides and looking toward the direction of the explosion. The ringing in their ears kept going.
The second was the reveal of a large Stalker, standing now between the two of them and the AVPs. Their safe route was blocked by the mechanical creature, and he looked bent on destroying them with all that was left in him. If robots had a soul, this Stalker would have deeply hated Zeke and Evie. He reached his blade up and prepared to strike with definitely death bringing.
The third was perhaps the most bizarre. Zeke had no time to naturally react with the combination of the explosion and the Stalker, and it appeared to him that death was going to swallow them up together. That their reunion would be short-lived. All Zeke had time to do was throw his arm up in defense, and try to shoot forth some sulfur in his enemy's direction. As he did so, sulfur shot from his fingertips and instantly contacted the metal of the Stalker. As it did so, in mid-air, the sulfur went from a solid to a liquid, transforming from a yellow-green to a blood red. The liquid sulfur hit the Stalker full-force and began to melt away it's armor, seeping into the pores created by the melt and destroying it from the inside out.
Zeke and Evie could do nothing but stare in horror, shock, and joy. Not only was the Stalker falling apart before them, but Zeke had just exhibited a secondary form of his primary (and only known) mutation. Zeke breathed lightly, "Incredible."
The liquid contrinued doing it's job, and the thing was lying beside them useless in a matter of seconds. No time to lose, Zeke hopped to his feet and pulled Evie up, and they rushed to the nearest safety vehicle. He helped her in, and then climbed in after her, still somewhat in shock. He glanced around at the other mutants in the vehicles.
Here, there is hope for our species, but here their is also a multitude of potential for death. We must reconcile. Then his thoughts shifted, Evie... He held her close as the truck's engine came alive.
Raven still had a good sight at the slaughter place. People were retreating as one man commanded them, it was Hunter. Hunter was one of Raven's prey's but to rush in to soon with such a magnificent person, could cause some unwanted attention. He glanced threw his scope zooming in on Hunter, seeing him rush threw bullets, and merciless slaying the three guards, though the last he bit. "Hmm, instant healing, and a taste for blood oh and more" As Raven watched Hunter jumped a massive distance to wards the exit whole. "Vampire, I can kill it" Though he badly wanted to a take a shot, for this assassination was much more required. First off he had to get close to Hunter, become a servant maybe, or at least a friend, but for that to work he needed some attention.
"Maybe some light will do the trick" The moon it's light would do perfect. Raven attracted some of the light of the moon in his palm, and made it in a shape like a firefly. The firefly made his way down the hill and over to the breach of the wall. It was now infront of our vampire friend. As it moved infront of Hunter, it made a pattern, letters to be precise. "We should meet, look up the hill" The fire fly made the message 3 times and exploded into little light sources that damped slowly. Hoping Hunter would look up Raven aimed with his rifle to shoot some guards and afterwards leave the scene.

ooc: sorry for being away guys! trying to get caught up have patience with me
ic:
Raina was darting through the chaos with the last ounce of strength she had left. This was all getting to be too much, she wanted to help others get out but there was so much violence she coudln't take anymore. She stopped a moment to catch her breath and saw her brother with Flloyd (ooc:posted with permission) looking very roughed up but standing none-the-less next to Flloyd's bike. They were waiting for her. She gave a gasp when her eyes caught sight of Streak. She was almost ready to join her brothers when she saw him and she dropped down. He was being carried by a bunch of... bugs? Was he ok? She wasnt sure... was he being attacked or helped?
Everything was spinning. She shouldn't have run off ahead. She should have stayed with him. her face was burning. Her limbs were aching. The scene from Rupert was fresh in her head. Streak was gone when she looked up again. She gave a shake and stood up as her brother started to approach her....
Naveed finally felt a wash of relief when he saw Raina emerge. She looked dissoriented and hurt. He waited a moment only to see her fall down then trotted over to her side. He wasn't taking no for an answer this time. He slung her arm around his shoulder. "Come on sis, it's really time to get out of here this time." He motioned to Flloyd to get the bike. "I'll send you to a safe place with Flloyd. I'll catch up later, isn't room for three on that bike. Barely room enough for two the way Flloyd drives."
She looked so broken as he helped her along. What had happened in there?

ooc: trying to catch up and make my threads all sync like they were... forgive me for double up posting in this thread in the same day, if it's too much lemme know I just dont know when I'll get back on again
ic:
Raina let Naveed carry her along and she listened uninterested to his talking. She was tired, his body heat felt good and the steady rythm of his heart was calming. Even his musky brother smell was welcomed. She glanced up and looked at the sky, really looked at it. Outside of all the chaos it was so serene. She missed the sky.
As she began to see the others who were fleeing she realized Sara wasn't among them. Her stomach twisted a bit and she felt a wrench of guilt. She wasn't going to give up now? She needed to be at least sure. Maybe one more trip in would help? Searching for Sara at this point was the only thing keeping her mind sane. She was thinking too much of Rupert and was scared she'd go crazy.
She hugged his jacket around her tighter. Then with the last ounce of strength that she had left she pulled away from Naveed.
"I'm sorry brother, but I really do need to find my friend."
with that she took off running like wounded deer while Naveed stood a moment looking shocked.
