The X-men run missions and work together with the NYPD, striving to maintain a peaceful balance between humans and mutants. When it comes to a fight, they won't back down from protecting those who need their help.
Haven presents itself as a humanitarian organization for activists, leaders, and high society, yet mutants are the secret leaders working to protect and serve their kind. Behind the scenes they bring their goals into reality.
From the time when mutants became known to the world, SUPER was founded as a black-ops division of the CIA in an attempt to classify, observe, and learn more about this new and rising threat.
The Syndicate works to help bring mutantkind to the forefront of the world. They work from the shadows, a beacon of hope for mutants, but a bane to mankind. With their guiding hand, humanity will finally find extinction.
Since the existence of mutants was first revealed in the nineties, the world has become a changed place. Whether they're genetic misfits or the next stage in humanity's evolution, there's no denying their growing numbers, especially in hubs like New York City. The NYPD has a division devoted to mutant related crimes. Super-powered vigilantes help to maintain the peace. Those who style themselves as Homo Superior work to tear society apart for rebuilding in their own image.

Hades arrived with his gear and deposited it in the bus, he turned and faces the open doors of the vehicle bay, breathing in the fresh New York air, finally, finally he could leave this confining environment, even if it was just for a while. He waited patiently for the others to arrive, he was early. It was habitual for him to be early.

Detirmined not to be late again, Shogun decided to be early. His watch had been fixed, but he still didn't entirely trust it any more. He was wearing clothes similar to everyone else walking through New York, and wasn't comfortable in jeans. Or a T-shirt. Especially since none of the people in the disguise department told him what was written on it. (OOC: I'm leaving it up to whoever wants to to decide something funny to have written on his T-shirt, as I'm comedically dry) His glasses were annoying too. But he had the comfort of having his knife tucked into his belt at his side, out of sight beneath his jacket. On his other side, he had a couple Psyite grenades. "I don't like these clothes. How long until the others arrive?"

Kami strode into the vehicle bay. He had discarded his Shaolin robes in favour of more modern attire. His feet were now covered with black cowboy boots, his legs with a pair of blue jeans, his torso with a checked shirt and a leath jacket over that. To top it all off he wore a black cowboy hat. Upon entering the area he saw that Hades, Abyss and Shogun where there.
With a nod to Shogun and Hades Kami got onto the bus, nodded to Abyss and took as seat. Considering the likelyhodd of a drive Kami decided to take teh oppertunity to continue the traing he had begun. Holding out his hand he focused, try to cover it in a sheath of energy.
A series of fast, but not rushed, strides carried Nox from the entrance of the vehicle bay to the door of their transportation, which is this case appeared to be a rather ordinary, and therefore since it was in the labs out of the ordinary, bus. Everyone else was there and seemed to have been there for a little while. Damn, well I knew that ‘first there’ streak wasn’t going to last. She didn’t really feel any great loss though, since, in her terms, she wasn’t exactly late, neither was she early, but rather she had arrived in the wonderful range of just on time, others, however, may have classified it as late. A rather normal occurrence had preoccupied her, this being that in preparation her wet stone had come out, and as per usual she had become absorbed in her work. That unique sound of a blade being honed had echoed rather nicely in the empty corridor, which she had found herself working in.
Well she was here now, and so having acknowledge the others with a curt nod she sat on the bus, which still felt rather out of place. The eagerness of leaving these suffocating walls was still within her, she had, however, over the the preparation time gained complete control over it. So now her normal mask ruled unquestionably over her features, which was by far the safer option. And so she waited.

As soon as Hades had made sure that everyone and all the gear was on board, the bus sat off. Hades was wearing a hoody, and possible for that reason nobody noticed that, thanks to the affect of a self made skin lotion, he now was Afro-American looking.
The bus trip was short and soon they were about to board the plane. Prior to boarding, they had to walk through a metal detector. It sounded.
“Shogun, loose the knife and grenades. All other weapons that would not be allowed on a commercial flight also have to go, and that goes for all of you. Shogun your staff can stay. May I remind you all that we will be transferring to a commercial flight straight after this. Do not worry; we will not see action till well after we have landed. By that time you will be well prepared to deal with anything that comes your way.
By the way take no notice of the film crew, we will have a separate meeting room on the plane as we need to get down to business.” Hades said as he gestured to the seemingly random assortment of people also boarding the plane.
“They are an actually film crew doing an actual film, and just to add a bit of credibility, they will be using actors made to look similar to you.” Hades permitted himself a small chuckle.
They boarded the plane. When they were all settled in and were strapped in around the conference table Hades slid a thick folder to each of them and a separate holographic Psyite projector to Shogun.
“These are your new aliases; the folder contains their background information, age, date of birth, parent’s names, birthdates etc. The folder also has a handbook on covert ops hand signals, which we will be suing to communicate with each other and with two agents who will join us when we land. Each document has a metal tab at the bottom right corner of it, tap that three times and the document, vanishes, becomes a pile of dust. Memorize the contents, then destroy the documents. I will brief you on the actual mission after we land. Any questions?”
(occ, if anyone doesnt like the aliasis that i make please pm me or cbox me to change it. so unless otherwise stated, Abyss:Ivan Nazarbayev (yev means bay, or noble rank) Nox:Jian Hau (sword queen/queen of swords) Kami:Jing Zhi (means quiet wisdom) Shogun: (insert first name here) Watanabe (crossing area) Hades: Abel Sheol (abode of the dead)

As they went through the metal detector at the airport, it beeped annoyingly at Shogun. "Shogun, loose the knife and grenades. All other weapons that would not be allowed on a commercial flight also have to go, and that goes for all of you. Shogun your staff can stay." Shogun was not at all keen to 'loose the knife', but gave it up after being assured that it would be returned to him immediately upon his arrival back in the US. His swords had to be passed through the X-ray, but because they fit so snugly into the hilts, they appeared to be a solid staff.
Once they were settled in, they were given a folder each, and Shogun got his own holographic projector. He flipped it on, and it showed the information in the folder. He was glad to find that the folder was in braille, but the projector meant that no one else could see what he was looking at. Something that could be very useful indeed, if used to communicate with him. He'd have to mention that as an idea to Hades after they got back.
He looked at his alternate identity; Shogun Watanabe. Crossing area? Well, since Shogun loosely translated to 'lord', then the literal translation would be 'lord of the crossing areas'. At the very least, it did serve to make him appear less threatening. But next time, he wanted to get a word in about his alias. abyss seemed to find something amusing about his clothes, but Shogun didn't much care. He had been assured that they were perfectly ordinary, and couldn't care less what Abyss thought.
It appeared Shogun Watanabe had two children, and a wife. He made sure to memorise everything in his profile; his mental disciplinary techniques served him well for this. Having never heard a Russian accent, he wasn't sure what to think of Abyss' attempt, but judging from the others' reactions it was... awful. Shogun refocused on memorising his alias.
Strangely enough Nox rather enjoyed flying on the very basic principle that the level electromagnetic radiation was higher. The security was, however, was enough matter entirely, owing to the fact that having seen Shogun’s rather noisy passage, she had yielded all her many blades and therefore wasn’t all that pleased. Since there was nothing to be done about the matter, she contented herself knowing firstly that her no one could take away her ability and secondly that the time spent away from her weapons would be brief.
With the novelty of ‘free time’ wearing of almost instantly, as she sat there while they made their way through the clouds, she turned her mind onto the task, and so her alias. Jian Hau, Sword Queen – Not bad, not bad at all. Believing that the name was appropriate, and rather content with it, she read on as she learnt her new character back to front. Jian Hau was nothing out of the ordinary, which was the idea, and her simple mundane life was easy to remember. And what proved to be far more entertaining was Adyss’s astonishingly dreadful accent, which even managed to earn itself a snigger from Nox. She had after all, had slight brushes with Russians, when working for one of London’s underground organisations, and so knew what a Russian accent was supposed to sound like. Nox’s attention then moved onto the handbook that had been distributed, though she kept an ear open for any more attempts of speech made by Abyss.

The plane landed Munich airport without much fuss, from there they transferred to the business class lounge of the British Airways flight that they were going to take to Gatwick airport.
Hades wearing dark sunglasses and wearing casual smart clothes and a nice pair of jeans, sat with the others in the lounge and observed the people there, some in their business suites, most were smartly dressed, and some were families. Hades idly wondered how they would react if they knew that in the same room as them were no less than 5 mutants each of whom could kill all of them easily. After perusing this thought for a while Hades sat back and contented himself to observe humanity.
They boarded, and as Hades had instructed were ushered into a conference room. After take off, Hades quickly swept it for bugs, it was clean.
Hades turned to the others. “Ok, when we land we will be meeting two of my men, Shane Smith and John Schoffield. Then we will accompany the rest of the film crew to a rented warehouse, it has two floors, one of which will become our base of operations. I mentioned earlier that we would not be taking much gear, and we have not so of course most of the equipment we will use, can either be easily bought or made, but there are a few items which I have been forced to utilize the black market to purchase, and it is there that I will need you.”
As Hades spoke the locations and maps flashed on the projector screen, highlighting locations, people etc.
“Here is the plan, after we land I have a custom modified (a quick look in Abyss’s direction) vehicle (http://rbtaxis.co.uk/rb.gif). We will first go to base to load up, and then we go on our first mission, to pick up the goods. The meeting place has yet to be determined; we will be meeting on their turf so we will go as a full team. Any questions?”

The plane landed, and Shogun had no trouble fooling everyone that he could see. it was something he had been doing for most of his life, and he was apt at it. Of course, normally the illusion was spoiled by his blindfold, but here it worked perfectly. No one suspected a thing. As they waited for their next flight, Shogun noticed Hades thinking about death, and the people in the room. Very unusual. Did he hate humans, or did he just enjoy killing? Whatever it was, Shogun ignored it.
Once on board the plane, Hades searched the room for soething, and was pleased not to find it. A very strange individual. Hades gave them a briefing of what they were going to do upon landing. Everyone else watched a screen, whilst Shogun's personal holo-projector showed the images for him. They were going in a vehicle custom-made, presumably to take Abyss' considerable weight, and were going to procure some items. Shogun wondered why they couldn't have just used one of Antonescu's private craft, but it was too late now. They would be meeting with someone from the black market, who may attempt to betray them, given that Hades wanted all of them there. Shogun spoke, "When we meet with these people, will I be in my armour?" If they were likely to be betrayed, it would be good to be bullet-proof. Though, if they had any thoughts of betrayal, Shogun would be able to pick it up immidiatly. Presuming they didn't have the help of a telepathic mutant.

Kami was silent for the trip, but assimilated all the data given to him by Hades and analysed it. He memorised his alias and transfered from one flight to another without a word. Shogun's question intregued him, how would they meet these people, and how likely was it that violence would be requiered.
The action of leaving the plane, waiting in the lounge, and of boarding another plane just seemed to blur into one. Though there was nothing to do, the waiting for Nox wasn’t, strangely enough, boring, her mind put it down to a rare sense of contentment, which stemmed from both the simple fact of doing something different outside the labs and the anticipation of the events to come. Hades’ little meeting broke this state, as her concentration took over. The plan, as per usual, seemed entirely thought through, and so Nox didn’t have any questions. Shogun’s question was interesting, but not particularly relevant to her, since she carried knives at all times, expect, as we have just seen, on commercial flights. Nox stayed alert, ready to pick up any more usual information that was given, but she insured that her mind rested slightly; it would do no good to arrive tired as they were starting straight away.

"When we meet with these people, will I be in my armour?"
“Yes Shogun, when we meet these people you will be in armour.” The plane soon landed. They went through customs without a hitch. While they were collecting their luggage, there was an extra parcel addressed to a Mr Abel Sheol. Inside were a set of keys and some other documents. Collecting their luggage they and the film crew left the terminal. The film crew had hired coaches to take them to their warehouse to shoot some indoor shots with natural lighting as it was still the afternoon.
Hades led them to a van rbtaxis.co.uk/rb.gif [/img](http://rbtaxis.co.uk/rb.gif) and unlocked it. He slipped a CD into to player and as he smoothly out the car into gear beaty music filled the car.
Soon they were winding their way out of the centre of London to the more rural areas. Two hours or so after leaving the city they turned off the motorway to a narrower road. They pulled up beside a large truck and trailer.
“This will be our base for now.” Said Hades as he stretched to loosen his muscles.
He took them to a table where he spread out a map on a wall, beside it a Psite projector powered up.
“Some of you may be wandering why this mission, and why I don’t pull some strings And just get the gear delivered. There are a few reasons for that, firstly, it makes this mission even more untraceable, and secondly it enables me to create an alibi for us inf any of you get found out. Before leaving this trailer, John and Shane over there will help you put on some skin-tight gloves. These gloves will for 48 hours replicate the fingerprints of the black market people we will meet in a few hours.”
“Ok, here is the map, take a look, Shogun, Nox your job is to take care of and replace the snipers, you will be dropped off at sector C1, full stealth. Shogun you will be in your stealth armour, and Nox I have something for you that you might like. As we are still under the cover of a film crew, we will not be taking firearms. The rest of the team will go with me to the pick up point in sector C4.” “As for weapons, Nox in the room is a body suite custom made for you with a special feature, ther are some flexable blades which are almost woven all throughout the suite, so no matter where you reach you can always get a blade quickly, try it out. The rest of you come with me.”
He led them to a room (with psyite) and hit the light switch, the room was filled with almost every man made medieval weapon, there were blades, swords bows, etc. among the bows one of them was special, to a bowman, it would immediately stick out that this bow was old, it had a presence around it, it spoke of power, nobility, passion, it was a special bow. Among the knives there were one or two special knives, one of them was with a lime green blade, it had no sheath.
“Ladies and gentlemen, take your pick! Bear in mind that Abyss, and Kami you will only be able to carry small weapons.”

OOC: If I over-step any boundaries, PM me and I'll fix it
IC: Shogun liked this plan. It seemed well worked out, and since his opponent would be a sniper, then they would probably have a little too much faith in their weapon. His armour would soon stop that. And he would have to be stealthy; that certainly would be interesting. As Nox went to try on her new suit (and Shogun decided to 'keep an eye' on her, so he knew most of what she did about the suit) the rest were shown a room full of weapons. Shogun noticed that Byss had decided to wait until others grabbed weapons, and the large mutant had noticed something that had amused him, possibly about Hades. But Shogun ignored it, as he was drawn to a very old bow. It was exceedingly well made, and he quickly strung it. After a few quick stretches of it, it turned out that it was in good form. "I will take this bow." He hung it from his back, and looked at the other weapons. He picked up a katana, and a long knife, and hung them from his belt. "Are there any psyite weapons? And when shall we be leaving?"

Kami was stoic for the journey as he assimilated the cover story. Once in the trailer he listened intently to Hade's briefing. He would accompany Hades and Abyss to do the deal directly with whoever it was they were dealing with while Nox and Shogun would offer support.
As they were lead to the weapons room Kami looked around. While he was more than proficient with most, he felt no need to carry a weapon, his body was his weapon. "I shall decline a weapon," he said, "for I have no need of one."
(OOC sorry its so late, time has just been a rare commodity recently)
As she gazed at the grey landscape of London she realised she had expected some change, yet the solid buildings stood as they always did and dark allies heralded the simple fact that it was just as she left it a couple of months a go. Nothing’s changed. Hades’ music was easy blocked from her mind as she pondered in silence, first on her mind was why it should matter to her so much that it hadn’t changed. The answer to which she found was that since her life had changed so much she somehow had excepted this to have affected the world she had known.
Only the sound of gravel crunching under the slowing types penetrated her thoughts, and she refocused herself as she clambered out of the vehicle. ‘Take care of snipers’ she could do that, no problem. And when you can practically become a moving shadow, stealth wasn’t really an issue. To be honest it all seemed rather mild so far, she had been anticipating something more taxing. But with any luck, that would come. One other detail caught her attention: ‘custom made suit’ – she was intrigued. Having slipped the well fitted black body suit on, she first flexed and was happy to see that absolutely none of her movement was restricted. Second came the weapons test. Moving her wrist upwards slide a blade out in a similar manner to the way her coat’s sleeves worked. What was new, however, were the other blades. The one at the base of her spine she found when flexing round, another’s hilt became exposed when she lowered her neck. And after some experiments she found that a number were concealed around her legs, including a rather handsome small blade that lined her right Achilles’ heel. I like it. Hades seemed to have a good eye when it came to ‘accessories’: the gloves, the blades, and now this. She realised that the suit was designed to suit her natural motions when in combat, drawing a blade was so effortless that she wondered how she ever had survived without it. Giving one last flex and returning all the blades, she went into the next room where the others were still picking their weapons. She waited for them to finish, and admitted to herself that, due to the suit, she was now rather eager to get going.
