The X-men run missions and work together with the NYPD, striving to maintain a peaceful balance between humans and mutants. When it comes to a fight, they won't back down from protecting those who need their help.
Haven presents itself as a humanitarian organization for activists, leaders, and high society, yet mutants are the secret leaders working to protect and serve their kind. Behind the scenes they bring their goals into reality.
From the time when mutants became known to the world, SUPER was founded as a black-ops division of the CIA in an attempt to classify, observe, and learn more about this new and rising threat.
The Syndicate works to help bring mutantkind to the forefront of the world. They work from the shadows, a beacon of hope for mutants, but a bane to mankind. With their guiding hand, humanity will finally find extinction.
Since the existence of mutants was first revealed in the nineties, the world has become a changed place. Whether they're genetic misfits or the next stage in humanity's evolution, there's no denying their growing numbers, especially in hubs like New York City. The NYPD has a division devoted to mutant related crimes. Super-powered vigilantes help to maintain the peace. Those who style themselves as Homo Superior work to tear society apart for rebuilding in their own image.

Michael was mere meters from the stairs when Ted hit him. The blow slammed him sideways through a wall and then through a book case. So this is the library. However, he had little time to admire the impressive collection of books as Ted was right behind him.
Ducking behind a bookcase he crept quickly along to the end. Maybe he wouldn’t have to take Ted to the danger room. If he could just keep dodging around here then Ted should heal up and change back. He really hoped that that process wouldn’t take too long.
The predator jumped through the hole, expecting the prey to be where it had been smashed to. Strangly, it wasn't there. It had been hunting this prey long wnough now to recognise its scent, and with a quick sniff, the predator knew it wasn't far off. It stepped between the bookcases; now was a time for silence, 'less the prey escape. The predator poked its head round the end of a bookcase, and looked from side to side. Nothing. It stepped out into the aisle between the bookcases, and padded to the next one, making next to no noise. Its ears swiveled contantly, monitoring for any noise.

Michael slipped around the corner of the bookcase just as Ted stuck his head down it. He froze, trying not to make a sound as Ted padded past. Once Ted had past he slipped back around where Ted hand come from and quickly and quietly zigzagged around a couple of bookcases.
He could hear Ted’s breathing, and tried to use that to work out where he was. Knowing that as soon as Ted found him there was going to be a lot of collateral damage he mentally apologised to Nicki. A lot of books were going to be unreadable by the end of this.
The predator poked his round another bookcase... still nothing. The predator heard a faint sound behind it. It swung round... still nothing. But it was getting closer. It made its way back, stopping at the end of each bookcase, and poking its muzzle around and looking down either side before moving to the next one. Patience would win this one...but did the predator have enough to be able to find its prey?

Michael could hear Ted getting closer. He kept moving, as staying still would only make him easier to find. Rounding the next bookcase he looked on in dismay. He had come to a reading area. The area was open, with only a few tables and chair scattered around.
Halfway turning to back track he heard Ted getting closer, and saw he was running out of options. Thinking quickly he dived under a table and hoped that Ted would be a good boy and just walk on by.
The predator stopped moving, and sniffed. Very close now, the prey was almost within reach. The predator rounded the corner, and saw an open area. The area stank of the prey, but it was nowhere to be seen. The predator looked around, and picked a atable at random. It grabbed the table, and heaved. The table flew across the area, smashig into another as the predator made ready to chase its prey. But it wasn't there. The predator moved on, headed for the next row of bookshelves to continue its search.

Michael let out a silent sigh as Ted picked the wrong table. Watching from his hiding place he saw Ted stalk off into the bookcases. Crawling out from under the table he headed in the opposite direction.
Getting to his feet he quickly and quietly slipped back into the stacks and moved along. He stopped briefly, his back to one of the book cases as he caught his breath. While Ted couldn’t hurt him, he was tiring him out. Continually picking yourself up off the floor is tiring, coupled with running away from Ted.
He’d just caught his breath back when a huge paw slammed through the bookcase behind him, knocking him through the two infront.
Another paw shot threw the hole where the first one was, and then they swung outwards in opposite directions. This caused the bookcase to split in two, and the two halves flew sideways into yet more bookcases. The predator had caught the prey now, and it smashed its way through another bookcase before reaching the last one for the prey to go through. The predator grabbed hold of the bottem of the bookcase, and flung it sideways into a wall, finally revealing the prey.

So much for hiding, Ted at least had the courtesy to get the bookcases off him. Wasting no time Michael was on his feet and running. Ducking into a gap between two bookcases he spotted the door and sprinted for it.
He had to get Ted to the danger room and soon, before he ripped the mansion apart. On the plus side he hadn’t eaten anyone yet. Michael planned to keep it that way.

The prey was elusive, but that was nowhere near enough to persuade the predator to give up the hunt. It saw the prey attempt to reach the door, and the predator took off after it. It grabbed hold of the prey, and lifted it over its head. Holding onto the prey's back, it kept in the air a couple seconds more, before throwing it over the bookcases back towards the centre of the library. The predator chased after it again, not willing to allow it to escape.
