Character
Personality: Beau is quiet and timid, with a very submissive personality type. He’s not very outgoing, and finds it much easier just to stay off by himself than to try and make friends. Like all teenage boys, he really wants to make friends, and to be accepted, but the young man is afraid of being bullied again.
When he does socialize, Beau is very fidgety, often playing with his hair or stuffing his hands in his pockets and never really keeping eye contact. He often stutters and doesn’t speak very loudly most of the time, but once he finds someone he feels comfortable around, he’ll open up to them and become much more friendly and outgoing, but only when it’s just the two of them.
He can come across as weird and clingy, often sticking right by the first person who’s nice to him, He loves to read, watch TV and play videogames as most teens do, but he also has an obsession with aquatic life, especially fish. He is a fount for useless trivia, especially when it comes to aquatic life. He’d rather run than fight, and he can be a bit of a weenie, and while he won’t necessarily fight for his friends, he’ll gladly make them something or encourage them in his own way.

Mutations
Mutation description:
Fish Physiology and Adaptation/Partial Shifting: Beau can breathe underwater, as well as fully use his senses and is a naturally good swimmer.
He can adapt and shift his body to take on traits of any kind of fish, such as a shark’s teeth, a lionfish’s spines, or an angler fish’s ‘lure’ for two hours at a time.
Strengths:Versatility and the ability to adapt to most situations.
At home on land or in water.
Weaknesses and Limitations:Cannot fully shift, can only take on one non-permanent adaptation at a time. Shifting his body requires energy and puts strain on his muscles, which have to shift and form to adjust to whatever he decides to acquire. As such after shifting, he usually requires a few hours of rest before comfortably shifting again.
He doesn’t have complete control over this, and sometimes his body shifts defensively to react to a situation.
Physical Abilities
General Physical Capabilities: Decent Stamina and Flexibility, Not very strong or fast, and sleeping turtles have better reflexes.
Fighting Style: Run and hide!
Fighting Style Pros/Cons: He can’t fight.
History Of Your Character
Beau was born the youngest child of three to a Louisiana family; when his was born his sister Renee was six and his brother Gilbert was three. They were a loving, average, small backwoods family that wanted the best for their children. And they were happy.
Beau was always quiet in school, but he was smart and always got good grades, though he never really made many friends. He was always smaller than the other kids, and was subject to being picked on. The bullying made him even more of a recluse, and his siblings stuck up for him when they could, but that made things worse when they weren’t there. When he turned thirteen, strange things started happening to him. First, his skin turned blue, followed by his eyes gradually turning from brown to more yellow. Over time he sprouted a fin, and even grew gills and his fingers and toes became webbed; this caused him to be picked on even further.
One day at school, a bully grabbed him and put him in a bear hug. Suddenly, Beau puffed up, expanding several times his size and growing spines like a pufferfish. The bully survived, but he needed hospital care. After this, his parents decided to send him to New York, to the Mansion, to help him control his powers, since his small town family didn’t have a clue about how to handle this.

“I...I didn’t mean to…”
“I know, son...I know,” Bartholomew Thibeau said softly, putting a firm hand on his son’s shoulder. “We still love you. This is to help you get a grasp of who you are, and to control your gift. There’s nothing wrong with you, okay? We just...don’t know nothin’ about it.”
Beau wiped his eyes, as his father pulled him into one last hug at the airport, and he didn’t want to let go, but he finally had to. “Thanks, Pa. I love you too….why didn’t you send me when I turned blue? Or--”
“Because we didn’t want to. We wanted to keep you. Still do. But...this is fo’ yo’ own good. We’ll come visit on the holidays, and whenever we can. I love you, son.”
“I love you too, Pa.”
He pulled the hood of his oversized black hoodie over his head as he got on the plane, the conversation still playing in his head. He had to admit, through tears, everything looked so neat out of a plane window. And before he knew it, he was in New York, and had a ride to the mansion. As it pulled into view, he felt his heart speeding up and he wanted to somehow crawl even farther into the hoodie until he disappeared. He took a deep breath. He could do this. ...Maybe he couldn’t. No, he had to. Yeah...he was going to do this. At that moment someone walked by. “Hi...I’m...I-I’m Beau….”
But when they turned around, no one was there. But there was a rustling in the bushes, the sound of a young teenager trembling in his hoodie.
