Lee smiled slightly as she heard Jay’s comment. That sounded like good advice. Surprisingly good advice coming from Jay. ”Who would have thought you’d be the one giving me relationship advice?”
Lee shook her head as Jay continued. ”Well, it won’t be any fun if you find it first,” Lee told him as she gave him a teasing smile. A smile that faded slightly as she heard Jay’s last words. ”I’m glad that you’ve learned your lesson. Because if you anything like that again, in any way, I won’t hold back next time.”

"Yeah, I wouldn't get used to it," he teased lightly. "My advice is usually pretty hit or miss," he added with a shrug.
"Hey, I don't make the same mistake twice. In a row, anyway. Trust me, we're cool now." Even if the talk of undergarments made his mind remember a few things, but he didn't show what he was thinking this time. After all, there was no way that was ending well. On either front.

Lee laughed and shook her head. ”I’ll keep that in mind if you ever try to give me relationship advice again,” Lee said. Then she finished her beer as Jay continued speaking. ”We better be cool,” Lee said as she set her empty bottle on the table. Then looked over at Jay once more with a knowing smile. ”Cause if there’s a next time, I won’t hesitate, and my right hook is much better than my left.”
Then Lee took a breath and stood up. "I should probably get going, though. Work and all that."
