IndividualCharacter's full name: Jenny Nicole McCullen
Alias/ Nickname/ Code name: Fade
Gender: Female
Age: 21
Birthday: February 12th
Nationality/ Ethnicity: American
Birthplace/ Home/ Place of origin: Milleville, New Jersey
AppearanceHair color and style: Fade has red hair that is a bit longer than shoulder length and it is a little wavy when she does not straighten or blow dry it after taking a shower.
Eyes: Her eye color changes every time that she blinks, however, it is not too distracting, not anymore at least. Some would argue that it changed more drastically when she was younger because when she became invisible, it was almost that she had to become the color of everything around her to make herself disappear, which would state why her eye color would get confused and change every time she blinked. These days, it still changes, but more of a different tint these days, like it would take her twenty blinks to change from red to pink eyes instead of just one.
Height: 5'7"
Build: Athletic, in a sense, but lately she has been letting loose, maybe a bit of lovehandles, but who does not have them?
Visible mutation: Raptor-like talons instead of finger nails.
Scars/ Tattoos/ Piercings: she has dozens of small scars, but her biggest scar is on her shoulder from a fight and one on her head, which is hidden by her hair that resulted from her capture during the fight against Fusionist. She also has a scar on her heart from the second KP battle where she slightly died. / She has a celtic design on her lower back and if anyone calls it a tramp stamp, she gets angry. / Pierced ears.
Other features: Talons on her feet as well, but they are not as noticeble unless she is barefoot.
Everyday clothing style: Typically lazy unless she is going out, like sweats and a t-shirt, she does not like tight clothes.
Uniform: Black leather, like in the movies, she has red stitchery on it and her front zipper, which travels all-the-way-up, ends about an inch and a half away from her collar bone. She has a black leather belt with a black belt buckle with a red X on it. She wears boots, not not high-heals, just good running and physical activity. Her raptor-like claws stick out from her boots, though, and her raptor-like claws also stick out from her gloves.
Sleepwear: soft, leopard pants (she calls them her dancing pants because they are so comfy, she always dances before she actually hops in bed) and a leopard cami
Miscellaneous clothing: none
CharacterPersonality: Outgoing. In one word, Fade enjoys meeting new people and loves to have fun. She lives on the edge and enjoys her own sort of extreme sports. When it comes to other people and telling them a bit about herself, she refrains. Hardly anyone knows too much about her because most people would say "oh I am so sorry" or give her the pity party, which she despises. She is easily taunted, especially if someone knows what strings to pull and sometimes she acts out of impulse. Instead of taking a step back and reviewing a situation like her fellow X-Men do, she tends to act first, think later, even though this has not been the best plan of action. She enjoys being a team-player, but being able to turn invisible and the ability to phase sort of singles her out in that team work area and thus she enjoys intel and reconaissance alone.
Hobbies/ Interests: She loves walking, just getting lost and then trying to find her way home. She likes movies, but she is not very technologically bright. And she loves to drink
Job or part time job and description: none
Fears/ phobias/ concerns: Being completely alone. Falling into her own traps of depression.
Special talents: She can touch her tongue to her nose
MoralityGood/ bad/ neutral/ other: Fade is a difficult character. While she was raised to do whatever it took to survive, she was not born as a bad person and therefor is constantly stuck in her own mental battle of right and wrong. In majority rule, she is good, but there are times that she double checks that
MutationsMutation description: Fade has the ability to turn invisible. By focusing on her body, she can turn it completely invisible for however long she likes while conscious. When she goes to sleep, she will remain invisible but has no control over her state and therefor can have a dream about something that may alter her mindflow and turn her visible. As a safety precaution, Fade does not sleep out in the open when she is invisible, in case she falls asleep. When she focuses enough, she can turn different parts of her body invisible, like her head or just her arm, it takes more focus in order to turn something like her skin invisible or her hair.
Strengths: She can turn herself invisible along with any object she is holding. Her powers extend to her clothes and she can turn even pizza stains on her invisible so she can be completely invisible to the naked eye. Since many mutants have different ways of seeing, she learned to adjust her ability to hide and stay hidden from anyone she was spying on. While she is good at spying on people and mutants, she has not yet mastered how to spy through technology primarily because she does not understand how technology works. Therefor, infrared can detect along with motion sensor if she knocks something over. Any mutant with telepathic abilities can also locate her since she has not learned how to silence her mind while in stealth mode.
Weaknesses: She can not turn other people invisible, only her own body and anything inanimate she is holding. It is much harder to turn a human invisible because they are made of flesh, blood, organs, bones, muscles, and she would need to turn all of those invisible, whereas a crowbar is just made of metal or a hamburger is just made of bread, meat, and condiments. Sometimes, she spends enough time invisible that she forgets to reappear and occassionally forgets that people can't see her. She also forgets infrared can sense her.
Secondary mutation description: Fade has the ability to phase. At first, she was only able to phase using her raptor-talons, allowing her to climb walls and ceilings, but she has been able to phase the rest of her body. By focusing on each part of her body, she can simply walk through a wall or place her body in a phased state when a truck falls on her.
Strengths: It is quite hard to injury Fade through any physical means. If you can locate her and strike at her exact location, she can phase through your attack so long as it is physical. This also allows her to climb all over things, climbing up walls, across the ceiling, up a tree. It is hard to keep her against her will. Unless some sort of power that can affect her is being used, she can simply walk out of the door you've shut in her face or climb up to the ceiling so she can phase through to the other floor.
Weaknesses: It does not affect non-physical attacks. She has no defenses against a telepath or someone that can mess with her blood or her mind. Elementals are some what tricky to defend against. Take for example, a pyro uses fire against her. She can phase through the fire, leaving her without direct burns, but phasing does not protect her from temperature and she will be able to feel the full heat intensity of the fire and cannot stand in it. The same goes for ice elementals, she won't freeze up in an icy state, but she will get extremely cold and could get frostbite or hypothermia if exposed long enough. Electricity can harm her if they are wide-spread jolts. One jolt sent through her can be phased through as it is a large attack affecting one area. If a small attack using electricity from all around is sent on her, it is much harder to phase through every attack and if one knicks her, she could loose her focus and more electricity would be able to shock her. Water and air are different because of how small the particles are. If she were hit with a tsumani, she could withstand the initial hit with no injury, however, even in a phased state, she cannot breathe underwater and will need to resurface for air. Oh, and she cannot swim. Gusts of wind can be phased through with major focus, but since she cannot see the attack, it's just a lot of wind heading her way, she has to focus on phasing once it hits her, which would result in injury during the first hit of the attack. She also cannot phase things out of her body. For example, if she gets alcohol poisoning, she cannot do something insane such as making every inch of her phase except for the alcohol content. This also makes it so she is vulnerable to disease and illnesses.
Fighting Style (if applicable)Explanation: Hit and run. With her elusive powers, she has the ability to make an attack and slink back for a bit until it is safe to attack again. Any attempts to hit back are met with her phasing through them.
Pros for fighting style: It's quite successful in the sense of her not getting hurt too often in a battle. It also gives her a quick escape if something occurs and she needs to get out immediately.
Cons for fighting style: Scardy cat. When you taunt her the right way and mention how she fights like a coward, she will act impulsively, turn visible and fight like every one else simply to prove herself. Also, she sometimes attacks too soon, not giving her enough time to find a new spot to attack from before she launches the attack.

History Of Your Character:Fade was born as Jenny McCullen in Milleville, New Jersey to two wonderful parents and an older sister. Her parents loved her and her older sister looked out for her. One day, when her sister was at school and her father was at work, Jenny and her mother went to the Supermarket to shop for dinner. Her mother was looking at a Homes Goods magazine while Jenny was bouncing a small kids' toy. A man approached her and offered to buy it for her, but she had to go with him to buy it to make sure she was going to play with it. That day, at age 4, she was kidnapped. Her kidnapper had lost his daughter at a young age and thought Jenny reminded him of her. She was not treated badly, only locked in the apartment in Baltimore and kept from seeing the world. While watching cartoons one day, Jenny's first sign of her power appeared. It was subtle, but her eyes turned a different color as she watched the little Chameleon character change the same color as the dog collar he was hiding on. She told her kidnapper that she liked the Chameleon and he saw her eyes were orange. Even though they turned back to normal, he kept an eye on her, waiting for her to change. Finally, he could not take it anymore, he knew she was a mutant and his real daughter had been a full human. He took Jenny to the Toys 'R' Us down the street and set her up at a tea table. He gave her a few toys to play with and disappeared forever.
The employees found her and called the Police. She was later identified as Jenny McCullen, who had been missing for a year. At such a young age, the Police did not tell her that her parents had died in a car accident and her sister committed suicide. Instead, they sent her to stay with a Foster Family until the will could decifer who would get Jenny now that her parents were dead. It took years and when Jenny began the 2nd grade, she still lived with her foster family. One day, a little boy in her class began to poke fun of her. He had eavesdropped on his mother talking to Jenny's foster mother and heard that Jenny did not live with her mother. The boy made fun of her, claiming that she had a fake mother because her real mother hated her. Confused and upset, she lashed out on the boy and swung at him. It was a weak slap, but four scratches were visible on his face. Jenny's nails had been growing, but they were black and non-transparent with sharp tips. Her raptor claws had been growing in for a while. Frightened, her foster parents locked her up in her room, only opening the door to slide her food. She had been locked up for nearly two weeks when her claws had grown to a long enough length to help her climb. She found she was able to climb up into her bed as if there were a ladder, but it never showed that she dug in her claws. When she had practiced climbing her dresser enough, she threw her lamp stand through the window and climbed out and onto the streets. From there, she ran.
She made her way to New York City, hearing that it held the best options for her after she tried to go South to Florida. Her powers continued to grow and she met a boy a few years older than her who offered to teach her everything she knew: Rat. They called him the rat for exactly that reason. He turned Jenny into a pity machine, getting a lot of money by begging and just showing her broken innocence until she caught him pickpocketing. She asked to learn and he taught her how to do so. By the age of ten, she was an excellent pickpocket. One particular victim of her's felt his wallet slip and called over Mall Security. In fear that she would be caught and sent back to her foster parents, she turned invisible for her first time. From then on, she practived turning invisible and became best at stealing. Rat began to hook her up with the bigger theives, she was the best at stealing, especially for her age. At 16, the police were close on her heels and she decided to quit the life of crime when she heard about a school that could help. Since she could not drive, she called a cab and hearded over to the Sister School for Gifted Youngsters.
There at the school she became close with those around her and was involved in both the Whitmore Attack and the Fusionist plot. After which, she ended up speaking with Tricity and was accepted into the X-Men. She spent time on the team as an X-Men alongside her boyfriend, Raphael. He suddenly disappeared, leaving Fade alone, yet again, or so she felt. She went after him, only to fall back into the old scene of stealing, robbing and drinking. Finally, it was enough, she needed to pick up the pieces, she returned home. Yet the rebel in her is simply dormant.

Insomnia Attack[/url))
A long night held restless thoughts as Fade tossed and turned in her bed. It was weird to not be surrounded by a length of emptiness like her last home, just a bed in the middle of no where. The gentle tapping on her window from an outside branch did not rid her mind of her racing thoughts. Every tap seemed like a second ticking by on the clock, reminding her of how long she had been in the same position, urging her to flip over once more only to repeat the routine every few seconds. Her eyes were heavy, but they would not shut. The night mocked her as it continued to filter through her window, this was the hour of sleep, and why couldn't she sleep?
Finally frustrated beyond help from her bed, the red head got up and ran her fingers through her hair. One thing she had missed from her journeys was cable and the living room sounded amazing at the moment. She was wearing her usual pajamas: her leopard print pants and just a black cami. Growling at her insomnia, she slipped on some socks and grabbed the glass of water on her night stand. Slowly, her feet dragged across the floor as she made her way to the highly rich-looking stairs and walked down them, grasping tightly to the banister in fear that she'd fall asleep before she reached the bottom.
No one was in the room, perfect welcoming committee. She set down her glass and grabbed the remote before attempting to make sense out of the odd markings. Sad that she hadn't had that much experience with remote controls. People that have had a home their entire lives have no clue what advantages they have over the homeless. Hitting the red button, the TV turned on and she flipped individually through the channels using the buttons with obvious arrows. Down. Down. Down. Down, wait...up, nope the news. Down. Down. Down, she clicked through the channels through the cartoons, news, and paid programming. If only they had an Insomnia Channel, her night would be complete.
