The X-men run missions and work together with the NYPD, striving to maintain a peaceful balance between humans and mutants. When it comes to a fight, they won't back down from protecting those who need their help.
Haven presents itself as a humanitarian organization for activists, leaders, and high society, yet mutants are the secret leaders working to protect and serve their kind. Behind the scenes they bring their goals into reality.
From the time when mutants became known to the world, SUPER was founded as a black-ops division of the CIA in an attempt to classify, observe, and learn more about this new and rising threat.
The Syndicate works to help bring mutantkind to the forefront of the world. They work from the shadows, a beacon of hope for mutants, but a bane to mankind. With their guiding hand, humanity will finally find extinction.
Since the existence of mutants was first revealed in the nineties, the world has become a changed place. Whether they're genetic misfits or the next stage in humanity's evolution, there's no denying their growing numbers, especially in hubs like New York City. The NYPD has a division devoted to mutant related crimes. Super-powered vigilantes help to maintain the peace. Those who style themselves as Homo Superior work to tear society apart for rebuilding in their own image.

"Hey. So I just want to stress that I'm not a creep." Leo practiced in front of his bathroom mirror because he wanted to sound less lame than he usually did.
Except that was totally lame. Uuuuuugh.
He debated just winging it. Gltich was pretty cool in the classes they had together. In fact, she was quite possibly, the most level-headed high schooler he'd ever met. Despite the fact that she talked as much as, if not more than Leo did, what she said was so often worth listening to. He figured she'd be cool with being in his documentary if he asked. He even had what he thought was a neat idea. He was still nervous, though. Nothing about this documentary had gone totally as expected.
Leo checked the battery on his hand-held camcorder. Saph still had his button and Leo wasn't about to go ask for it back. He'd borrowed his family's camera, which they really only broke out for Easter and Christmas anyway. So he had until one of those to get it back into his parent's closet before they noticed.
He had everything all planned out... except what he was going to say.
Catching up to Glitch after Biology with Ms. Dryad, Leo jogged to catch up in the hallway so that he and Glitch could walk side by side.
"Hey, Glitch. You got any more classes for today or are you done?"
>>“Hey Glitch. You got any more classes for today or are you done?”
Glitch turned to see none other than Leo, the token non-mutant in their class. It was strange to see a norm hang around the mutant school so much, but it was always nice to see one who was chill around mutants. As for what she knew about him, it wasn't much. He was kind of odd, but he seemed friendly enough.
“I'm free. What's this about, Leo?”
She nearly dropped her textbook when the potential implications of Leo's question hit. Was he asking her on a date?! That was, like, what it usually was when a guy asked a girl he didn't know well if she was free, right?
No, no, it couldn't be. Guys weren't interested in dating robots. There had to be something else Leo had in mind. At least, she hoped. Nothing personal against Leo; it could have been any other guy. Glitch had literally no clue how she, a fricking robot, was supposed to handle a date!
And... she was just standing there awkwardly silent. Other than the alarmed look in her eyes, she was mercifully stone-faced.
Oh. She was free. Cool. So. All he had to do was ask. Leo took a deep breath and prayed to Kanye West, patron saint of those who put their feet in their mouths.
"So, I was thinking... about you. And, well, I'd love it if you came with me to-" Her eyes were wide. Could robot eyes go that wide? Leo talked faster. "See, I'm making this movie thing." Yeah. Totally. Downplay the importance this had in his life so that if she blew him off it'd be not a big deal. "I thought it'd be cool, you know. If you were in it. We could go, like, compare anatomy between METAbots. I'd love your take, considering the way your power manifested."
Oh no. He was sounding nervous. Guys got nervous when asking girls out.
>> “And, well, I'd love it if you came with me to-”
It was coming. Just say yes? Maybe it wouldn't be so bad. Her fingers were crossed.
>> “See, I'm making this movie thing.”
Glitch blinked. “Oh.” This wasn't a date invite at all. Phew. She felt kind of silly now.
“An interview, huh? About mutants and METAs?” Her words were spoken quickly, trying to cover up her awkwardness. “I could totally do that. Well, it's not like I've done something like it before, but it sounds fun. So, is this a school project, Viewtube vid, or what?”
Yes! He did a little fist pump in celebration. He hadn't expected resistance, but it was still a win. Hoo! That was the hard part done with, now to go find a METAbot to interview for the side-by-side.
"Awesome. Yeah. No. Right now it's a bunch of footage. ViewTube is an eventuality, but I was hoping to edit all the pieces and establish a narrative, y'know? Like. Some music and stuff and rain- well, not rainbows. But like The More You Know sort of stuff going on?"
Oh yeah. This was gonna be good. He could tell.
"Let's grab a bus into town and go find a META, yeah?" And since they were kind hanging out until they found one, he may as well ask. "Been on any hot dates lately?
So it was all part of a larger project, and a pretty cool-sounding one at that. If it all worked out, the final video was going straight to the top of Glitch's “to watch” list.
Crap. Glitch should have known that comparing herself to a META bot would involve, well, finding one to compare herself to. Part of her told her that it was a terrible idea. Her gaze went to the dent left on her arm, a courtesy of her most recent run-in. But, the remainder really wanted to tell the world that she, Gladys Fitch, was nothing like those soulless machines. Hopefully. “Right... and stay a good fifty yards away from it, yeah?”
And, the wide eyes were back. Her? On a hot date? Leo couldn't be serious. “Do hot dates count if they're with new games?” she joked with a nervous laugh.
