On one of the rainy days of summer, Abby set up a little nest in a cross-way within the Mansion. There were plenty of places to sit and read within the school, but sometimes Abby just wanted to be able to see the people of the school. It was always interesting to see who walked by and what someone did on the rainy days.
The little green eyed girl was surrounded by plenty of pillows and blankets, borrowed from one of the many linen closets of the school. She had a new book with her. Cinder which seemed to be a retelling of the fairy tale in a new world. There were other books in the series, but she wanted to see if she liked it first. Her Aunt seemed to think she would.
Snuggling down into her nest, Abby began to read. Though she kept some attention on hearing if someone came by her spot.

It had been raining all day. It pattered down gently and steadily on the roof of the Mansion—in short, just the way Margo liked. Had a certain shark girl been watching from her window long enough, she might have seen her splashing around in the puddles on the Mansion lawn with some of the younger students.
Oh, to be a kid again.
Eventually, Margo made her way back inside to clean up. Then she tucked a book under her arm and set off to find a nook to read in. The library and its cushy couches were overrated; if she was going to be a kid one last time today, she might as well do it right.

Abby was pulled from the world of Cinder when an older girl sat down by her. The little blonde looked up to see the older girl, maybe almost an adult, had a book too. Abby sat up a little trying to see the title, but she couldn't make it out.
"Hi," she greeted softly.
