The X-men run missions and work together with the NYPD, striving to maintain a peaceful balance between humans and mutants. When it comes to a fight, they won't back down from protecting those who need their help.
Haven presents itself as a humanitarian organization for activists, leaders, and high society, yet mutants are the secret leaders working to protect and serve their kind. Behind the scenes they bring their goals into reality.
From the time when mutants became known to the world, SUPER was founded as a black-ops division of the CIA in an attempt to classify, observe, and learn more about this new and rising threat.
The Syndicate works to help bring mutantkind to the forefront of the world. They work from the shadows, a beacon of hope for mutants, but a bane to mankind. With their guiding hand, humanity will finally find extinction.
Since the existence of mutants was first revealed in the nineties, the world has become a changed place. Whether they're genetic misfits or the next stage in humanity's evolution, there's no denying their growing numbers, especially in hubs like New York City. The NYPD has a division devoted to mutant related crimes. Super-powered vigilantes help to maintain the peace. Those who style themselves as Homo Superior work to tear society apart for rebuilding in their own image.

Muffet's day was about to get interesting, but she was not really feeling up for it. Her day had started with re-checking her bags multiple times, then driving to the airport (well, her father drove the car) and then she had to say goodbye to her parents. Saying goodbye was probably the hardest thing she had ever done, and the first hour of the flight she had been crying. About a quarter after she had stopped crying, she had to change planes at Dublin airport, and the long wait began.
During the seven-and-a-half hour flight, she had done all the possible things. Muffet had slept for about two hours, started reading a book for about one and then started drawing.
It took her a good two hours to finish the sketch. A Levi, from Attack On Titan, was showing on the paper, in full action. She left the drawing at her little table, and made a little walk to stretch her legs. Luckily, she ran into a stewardess, who gave her a cup of water. Happy with this treasure, she walked back to her seat, grabbing her watercolour pencils. She smiled a little and stared at her drawing, this was going to be a nice one!
Muffet yawned, not knowing how long she had been busy colouring the Drawing. It was rather good; except for some of the fingers on the right hand (those were rather thick). Knowing she had at least done something with her time, she sat back and relaxed a bit.
After landing, picking up her bags and finding her way out, Muffet found herself in the big city, surrounded by all sorts of people. Remembering what her mom told her, she looked inside her bag to find the address. With the small sheet of paper in her hand, she called for a taxi, ready for anything that was going to be thrown in her face. Except maybe a very long ride in a damp taxi, with a grumpy driver and traffic jam.
When she finally arrived at the Mansion, Muffet was exhausted. Standing there, she actually had no idea what to do. Muffet felt utterly, and completely lost. Why was she even here? Well, because here the people were like her, and she could become 'social', but who needs that?! She just missed her parents, and tears made her vision blurry. From all her five eyes, tears were streaming down and she could hardly see her surroundings. The inevitable happened, and she tripped. Her bag fell on the ground next to her, and her sketchbook fell out, spilling her drawings all over the ground. The little girl sighed. ''Seriously? My first minute here, and I screw up!'' Without looking at her surroundings, Muffet started to pick up her drawings before she would lose them.
ooc; My first with Muffet, hope someone can do something with it~

Abby was hiding. Well sort of. The older girls who liked to dress her up were wanting their life-size doll again. The little blonde was not in the mood for their game of dress up. It was one of her days where she didn't care about her discolored legs. She was just fine with what she had put on this morning. Thanks much. Intent on avoiding the girls, she took to the grounds. Most of the students knew Abby spent time inside rather than out so outside was where she was hiding.
>>"Seriously? My first minute here, and I screw up!"
Looking around quickly, Abby spotted the speaker. They certainly looked new to her. Putting her legs to use, she raced over to help them, since it looked like their things spilled out of their bag. "Are you okay?" she asked as she crouched. Picking up a few pages saw the little sharkmaid get distracted. "Wow. These are really good pictures. Did you draw them?" she asked as she looked down at the papers.
Muffet then heard someone running towards her. Quickly she tried drying her eyes, she looked up. "Are you okay?" she heard a voice say. The spidergirl looked over her shoulder, into the green eyes of the girl behind her. She blushed a little, and backed away a little bit. Meanwhile, the other girl picked up a few of her drawings, and looked at them. "Wow. These are really good pictures. Did you draw them?" Muffet nodded shyly. ''I did, thanks..'' She shifted a little and grabbed the last drawing from the ground. ''Uhm.. could you help me? I just arrived, and I have no idea what I have to do now..'' looking up to the other girl, Muffet smiled a little, not sure what to say. ''I mean, I assume you are a mutant too, you're not running away from me or anything..'' She almost facepalmed. ''Very smooth Muffet, very smooth.'' She thought in herself. Realizing she was being a bit impolite, Muffet started to speak again. ''Anyway, nice to meet you! I'm Muffet Hart, I just arrived from Wales.'' She smiled and tilted her head a bit, hoping that the other girl would accept her.

>>"Uhm.. could you help me? I just arrived, and I have no idea what I have to do now.. I mean, I assume you are a mutant too, you're not running away from me or anything.."
Abby smiled. "Sure, I'll help!" Then she was picking up papers that had scattered.
>>"Anyway, nice to meet you! I'm Muffet Hart, I just arrived from Wales."
"I'm Abby Clark. Other students call me a sharkmaid since I get a shark's tail in water. I think I've been here for three years now," she grinned back. "Have you talked to any of the adults yet? They can get your papers all done." The little blonde could vaguely remember all of the papers her Aunt had to fill out to get her situated. Once they got all of Muffet's things picked up, they would have to find someone older to help.
"I'm Abby Clark. Other students call me a sharkmaid since I get a shark's tail in water. I think I've been here for three years now," The girl, Abby, grinned. Muffet smiled back at her, happy with the welcoming girl. "Have you talked to any of the adults yet? They can get your papers all done." Muffet tilted her head. ''I haven't. Do you know anyone close? I guess I need to hand over the papers my mom gave me..'' Muffet picked up the last drawing and carefully stuffed them all back into her Art Folder. ''But, you're like, a shark? That's sooo cool!'' Muffet happily exclaimed. ''I mean, I'm just some weird purple spider-ish thing! You can just turn into a shark mermaid?'' That was indeed quite awesome. Muffet sighed a bit, and wondered what her life would have been like if she hadn't looked like some sort of Hybrid Monster-thing. ''Right, Adult. Can you lead the way, please? I haven't had any time to find a map or anything..'' With those words, Muffet stood up, waiting for the other girl to take the lead.

>>"I haven't. Do you know anyone close? I guess I need to hand over the papers my mom gave me.."
Abby took a moment to think after handing over the drawings. She wasn't too sure who would be the best person to help. But she knew where the office was. "We'll just go to the office. Someone is usually in there."
>>"But, you're like, a shark? That's sooo cool! I mean, I'm just some weird purple spider-ish thing! You can just turn into a shark mermaid?"
The blonde felt her cheeks heat at the compliment. She was getting used to people thinking her mutation was cool, but it was still a new idea for her to grasp. "Only a shark," Abby commented absentmindedly as she stood. "Specifically a tiger shark. Adolescent tiger shark. You can see my stripes on my legs." Her straightened one of her legs to help Muffet see the darker gray against her usual gray skinned legs.
>>"Right, Adult. Can you lead the way, please? I haven't had any time to find a map or anything."
"Sure!" Abby smiled and started leading the younger girl to the Mansion doors. "It's not too far from the door. Do you play any instruments? I'd love to see what I could play with that many arms. I play piano, though there's not a whole lot who do here. Most prefer mobile instruments." The green eyed girl silently hoped the new girl played something. It was no fun playing by yourself.
Taking another corner, Abby spotted the correct office for Muffet's admittance. "There it is!" she pointed to the door.
"Sure!" Abby said smiling. Happy, Muffet followed her through the mansion. suddenly, her new friend started to speak again. "It's not too far from the door. Do you play any instruments? I'd love to see what I could play with that many arms. I play piano, though there's not a whole lot who do here. Most prefer mobile instruments." Muffet smiled. ''I play the piano too! With this many arms I can play a lot of things at once, maybe we should play it together once!'' She smiled with the idea, it would be great to finaly have someone to play duets with, instead of playing them alone. Going around a corner, Abby stopped and pointed at a door. "There it is!" she said. Muffet smiled at her, but didn't immediatly go to the door. 'C'mon Muffet, you can do this! It's just a little thing you're perfectly capable of.' She sighed silently and stepped forward. She streched her hand forward, and knocked on the door. Four times, obviously she had to. Taking a step back, she nervously smiled at Abby and mouthed ''Help.''
ooc; I assume you'll post and then an adult mutant will join? ^0^

Abby jumped on her toes a little when she found out Muffet played piano. They'd have to play together sometime. Abby could only do solo pieces since she had yet to find someone to play with. They could play Hungarian Dance No.2!
The excited twelve year old snapped out of her daydream when the younger girl turned towards her for help. Smiling kindly Abby moved to open the door. "'Cuse us, but we need some help," she called out.
Well, there was one good thing about absolutely no one responsible showing up to work at the Mansion. It meant that Lori had been able to walk in with all her best intentions and claim a desk and an office and no one had contested her arrival. She was so sure someone would have called her out, but even the flakey headmaster and all his clones now greeted her at the coffee pot in the kitchen as if they'd been doing it for years.
Of course, he called her Lorraine.
This whole place was bonkers.
The blonde juggled her coffee and the door without spilling anything on her white pants, but she stopped when she heard a knock on the Headmaster's door.
"Oh, hun. Headmaster Kipperling said he's out to go... I don't know. Something about a rescue T-rex? Let me guess." She cupped her mug and let the warmth seep deep into her hands as Lori inspected the two. One child she recognized from the security feed. She'd been around hanging out with some of the less-than-social. The other...
Luckily for Muffet, Abby opened the door and said '''Cuse us, but we need some help," The blonde woman in the office was holding on to a cup of coffee, and seemed nice. "Oh, hun. Headmaster Kipperling said he's out to go... I don't know. Something about a rescue T-rex? Let me guess." The woman spoke to Abby. Muffet closed her middle eyes, not sure if the woman was joking, or if there was seriously a T-rex somewhere. She blushed a bit when she saw the woman observing her, but the spoken person continued speaking. "New registrant?" Muffet nodded. ''Yes miss, I just got here.'' She sighed a little. ''I assume I have to give you the papers my mom gave me?'' She assumed that this woman was in charge if the headmaster was out, but she couldn't be sure. ''I actually don't realy know what to do, I mean, did my parents enter me for a school? 'Cause normal kids don't realy like me..'' Flustered, Muffet stared at the ground, not sure what to say.

>>"Oh, hun. Headmaster Kipperling said he's out to go... I don't know. Something about a rescue T-rex? Let me guess. New registrant?"
Abby let a little snort out at that. She was never too sure if adults were joking or being serious. Usually she could only figure it out if she found another adult to ask. She'd have to seek out the pink haired one to find out if there really was a T-rex involved. Though if there was, why would a T-rex need rescuing... Or would the T-rex be doing the rescuing?
>>"Yes miss, I just got here. I assume I have to give you the papers my mom gave me?"
Wasn't there a movie with a T-rex trying to get to someone. But the T-rex couldn't because it's arms were too short? She'd have to go look through the movies later to find it.
>>"I actually don't realy know what to do, I mean, did my parents enter me for a school? 'Cause normal kids don't realy like me.."
Uh-oh. Abby's mental track came to a halt and her mouth opened before she could think through her words. "If I have to go to school, you do too. It's like a law or something. You're stuck with us, Muffet. No escape." Well that wasn't too bad. Turning to the adult, who she vaguely knew as the woman who "killed the gate," the little blonde opened her mouth. Without thinking. Again. "Can you help us out, ma'am?" Or should we find someone else to help us? Luckily she kept that last part in her head. That would not have been a good thing to say.
Woooow. Lookit the chompers on that one! Teeth, like cute little voices, didn't really show up from CCTV angles.
"Yeah. You gotta go to school somewhere so it may as well be here. I don't know about your info, buuuuuut we can break into Kip's office to check and then uh- get our hands on the right intro packet" There. That was helpful. Lori waggled her eyebrows about the intrigue of it all. She had an excellent motive and purpose now to be digging around in the headmaster's things while he was out.
"Somebody hold this?" She passed off her coffee mug and stretched her arms, ready to use a little muscle and power on the door, but... well, it turned out to be unlocked. Lori yelped when the door didn't give enough resistance and she ended up stumbling into the empty office.
"Huh. I guess I'm stronger than I look." She tried to shrug it off and be cool as she made her way around the desk and started rustling in the unlocked drawers. Where was that intro packet? It was a big white envelope... she'd just seen one the other day when she registered Roger...
"Bingo." The blonde sat in the headmasters' chair and passed over the general information packet: a map of the grounds, a brochure about rooms, roommates, and room assignments, financial aide forms, etc. Lori turned to the computer and waggled her fingers. She could do this. Maybe. Her hands hovered a safe distance from the keyboard.
Maybe... information first.
"What's your full name? And, you said something about having papers, right?" Lori motioned to get her coffee back. It was a nice chair. Maybe she'd stay awhile.
"If I have to go to school, you do too. It's like a law or something. You're stuck with us, Muffet. No escape." Muffet looked a little scared at this, school wasn't something she was very good at. She hadn't ever been to one, homeschooling was all the teaching she had be given, but for her, it was enouth. Pondering, she didn't realy hear what Abby said next, but it was propably something like, 'can you help us?'"Yeah. You gotta go to school somewhere so it may as well be here. I don't know about your info, buuuuuut we can break into Kip's office to check and then uh- get our hands on the right intro packet" Muffet blinked slowely, one eye at a time. Was this how everyone around here rolled? "Somebody hold this?" The woman passed her coffee mug, and Muffet akwardly grabbed it with one of her hands. The woman streched her arms and yelped, as she opened a door. "Huh. I guess I'm stronger than I look." Muffet let out a soft giggle, but closed her mouth almost immediatly. ''inapropriate Muffet! She thought to herself. The woman started looking through the drawers, until she found what she was looking for. "Bingo." The woman sat down at the big chair, and motioned to get her coffee back. While Muffet hastily gave it back, the woman spoke again. "What's your full name? And, you said something about having papers, right?" Muffet grabbed her bag and pulled out a folder with the papers her mom had given her. "My full name is Muffet Ophelia Hart, nice to meet you. Here are the papers my mom gave me." As she said it, she handed over the papers. "So, I'll follow school among others like us? Because if you put me between normal people.. they Won't be very happy."

>>"Huh. I guess I'm stronger than I look."
Adults were so weird. It was a fact. Abby had met too many weird adults to not know this fact. From pink haired dads to the strange headmaster to this gate killing lady. When she thought about it, Abby probably knew more adults and kids her age. Maybe. She'd have to count them later.
She watched Muffet and the gate killer lady exchange papers. Abby wondered if her Aunt had to fill out papers like that. She couldn't remember. Though she probably hadn't been in the office back then.
>>"So, I'll follow school among others like us? Because if you put me between normal people.. they Won't be very happy."
Abby didn't like the way Muffet was talking. Though she really couldn't blame her. The blonde said similar things in the past. "Like I said, you're stuck with us. There is no escape," she wrapped an arm around the younger girl. "And what exactly is normal?" Abby thought it was a good question. Her Mommy had often said that crazy was normal and people who thought they were normal were crazy.
Ah a folder. That was nice. Muffet's mom was kind enough to provide a folder and unkind enough to name her daughter, her spider daughter, Muffet. Maybe it was a nickname. Like Roger with the bunny ears.
"Oh, honey, ain't nobody normal around here." Bless her little heart. "There's one human, but I'm almost certain he's kept properly muzzled." The kid spent most of his time in detention or his room these days.
Lori flicked through the papers in the folder. It looked like things were signed and filled out. FAFSA. The pink copy of the student handbook was signed. Yeah. Lori turned to the computer and hoped that she wouldn't fry it.
The blonde accessed the official administrator database easily. Kipperling used a password service. He should really learn to lock his doors.
"Yeah. It looks like your info is already in here, Ms. Hart. Would you like a lottery roommate or did you have a friend in mind?" Lori removed her hands from the keyboard slowly and carefully and pulled open a couple drawers here and there. Looked like Kip didn't leave the key to the key cabinet just laying around. So. There was that at least.
