The X-men run missions and work together with the NYPD, striving to maintain a peaceful balance between humans and mutants. When it comes to a fight, they won't back down from protecting those who need their help.
Haven presents itself as a humanitarian organization for activists, leaders, and high society, yet mutants are the secret leaders working to protect and serve their kind. Behind the scenes they bring their goals into reality.
From the time when mutants became known to the world, SUPER was founded as a black-ops division of the CIA in an attempt to classify, observe, and learn more about this new and rising threat.
The Syndicate works to help bring mutantkind to the forefront of the world. They work from the shadows, a beacon of hope for mutants, but a bane to mankind. With their guiding hand, humanity will finally find extinction.
Since the existence of mutants was first revealed in the nineties, the world has become a changed place. Whether they're genetic misfits or the next stage in humanity's evolution, there's no denying their growing numbers, especially in hubs like New York City. The NYPD has a division devoted to mutant related crimes. Super-powered vigilantes help to maintain the peace. Those who style themselves as Homo Superior work to tear society apart for rebuilding in their own image.

Ever since Peter moved to the states, he was never really able to get used to his surroundings. For someone who was raised in a small suburb in South Auckland New Zealand, New York understandably presented a huge culture shock for Peter. From the people, to the city and even in the air itself, it felt as though New York had it's own unique presence and an aura that Peter was unfamiliar with. Although he was beginning to understand more and more about the city and its people with every new day, he found himself once again with the same feeling of unfamiliarity that he felt when he first arrived.
Chinatown. "Im sure you'll love it there" his coach told him. "You eat like a hippo Petey, a guy like you would probably eat the whole place!"
But this small part of lower Manhattan, just like New York, had it's own presence about it. His senses bombarded with the scents of the exotic foods, and signs in every corner of every wall, in languages he didn't understand. "Such a loud place" he thought to himself.
He walked alone through the crowds. As colourful as his clothing and overall figure was, no one seemed to pay much attention to him as he went along. In his hand he held a small take away box of... What was it called? Dumplings? At least thats what the man before him ordered before he asked for the "same as him."
But as surprisingly delecious as these little pockets of pastry and pork were, his stomach still vocalised its hunger through its grumbling. So with his dumplings in his left hand, and a toothpick in his right, he walked on in search of more to see. But more specifically, he searched for food that wasn't being killed on sight, or pulled from a fish tank.

Abbigail loved it when she got away from school. This time a couple of older girls had planned on going to some tourist attractions. Abby had asked if they could drop her off in Chinatown and pick her up later in the day. They had agreed, but made her take one of their cell phones so they could contact her. So she got to spend the day wandering around the busy streets and buying more trinkets.
Her only problem: Height.
She had used the borrowed phone to find one of the buffet style restaurants when her stomach growled. Unfortunately her shortness was not helping her find the selected business. Normally she would ask someone from the area, but Abby was having trouble understanding what some people were saying. It was only her first time in Chinatown after all. So the little blonde started looking for a tall person.
Bright colors caught her eye. He was tall. Keeping the bright shirt in her field of vision, she moved from her spot by a storefront, to catch the tall person.
"Excuse me," she piped up, tugging on the bright shirt, "Um, I'm looking for Big Wong. It's a restaurant and I can't seem to find it. Could you help?"
Peter wasn't very fast when he walked, but even still the light tugging on the back of his shirt seemed to stop him in his tracks. He turned to see the cause for it, thinking his shirt had caught on something. But when he spun around to look, nothing was there, but the hive of people, pushing and prodding their way along. But then he heard a voice from below. "Excuse me"
He looked down to see a girl, an infant at that. Her green eyes filled with what he described as child-like innocence. But he was still in shock, that someone of her size would even speak to him. Usually the everyday stranger steered clear of Peter's path due to his intimidating stature, let alone children. Yet here she was.
"What did she say?" He thought silently to himself. He could see her mouth moving, but her words were muffled by the sounds of the town. He crouched down to her level and spoke in his usual, mellow tone.
"Im sorry i didn't quite hear you... What is it you were asking?".

Oh! He was bending down. Why?
>>"Im sorry I didn't quite hear you... What is it you were asking?"
Oh. Abby hadn't thought of the noise. And he was so much taller too. "Um, I was wondering if you could find a sign for me. I'm looking for Big Wong. It's a restaurant," she restated as confidently as she could. "You're a lot taller than me."
"Oh..." He laughed a little. He was alot taller than most people, but this girl made him look more... Bulbous? If that was even possible.
"Big wong eh?" He looked up and around in search of a sign, but to no avail. He looked back down at the girl, much smaller than himself. "I'm sorry i don't seem to see such a place..." He caught a glimpse of her phone, it looked as though she was taking her directions off of it. "But i think with these keen eyes of mine, and that phone of yours, we should be able to find it in no time" he smiled intently, putting his fist out in her direction. "How does that sound?"

>>"I'm sorry i don't seem to see such a place..."
Oh. Abby frowned in thought.
>>"But i think with these keen eyes of mine, and that phone of yours, we should be able to find it in no time. How does that sound?"
She looked back up to see the nice, tall man holding out his fist. Smiling she hit his with her much smaller one. "Okay," she looked down at the phone to double check the address, "It's supposed to be on Mott Street."
Peter's smile turned to a toothy grin as the girls fist made impact with his. It felt like hed gained her trust, or at the very least found a stranger who wasn't totally afraid of him. He rose to his feet and looked about.
"Where to captain?" "It's supposed to be in Mott street." She replied.
Mott street... He'd walked through there before, he was sure of it. At that moment, they stood at an intersection between Canal street and Mulberry street; where he'd just come from to buy the dumplings. "Bingo!" he pointed straight ahead. "We just continue down this path and take our first right, and we'll be on, uh... Mott street?" He glanced back down with a slightly puzzled face, he was never really good with names. he began to walk, but once again took notice of the crowd before looking back down at the little girl.
"On second thought maybe i should hold your hand, just in case..." He was familiar with the somewhat belittling gesture of having a grown up hold your hand, but he didn't want to lose her in the crowd. He held out his hand towards the child smiling. "You can call me Peter by the way"
"Okay" she replied taking his hand in hers. "I'm Abby and im 12" Peter could hear the light growl from her stomach. "And hungry." She giggled.
He smiled back at her "don't let go."
And so the pair walked hand in hand down the street, a few awkward stares fell down on the odd looking combo. The giant polynesian and the tiny blonde girl. But Peter didn't pay much attention to it. For now he was focused on finding this 'Mott Street'.
=============
"This is the place." 'Big Wong Restaurant'. It was a hard place to miss, given the large yellow sign plastered atop the brick wall. "C'mon lets see if we can't do something about that stomach of yours"
The pair walked inside, and surprisingly the restaurant wasn't too packed. It was around 12pm on a friday, so he figured people just had better places to be. Lucky them.
Just then he realised something. Outside of that dumpling shop, he'd never really eaten at a proper restaurant on his own, and he had trouble with the ordering system in America. He looked at Abby trying not to make it obvious he was lost.
"Soooo..." He clicked his fingers as if he'd just come up with a brilliant plan. "Hows about you order the food, and your ol pal Peter will take care of the bill, my treat." He smiled intently from ear to ear. "Peter youre a genius" he thought to himself. "Order whatever you want..." He pulled up a chair closest to the door and sat down. "Just get me something with no fish in it" he asked, his ever prescent smile plastered firmly on his face.

Abby took what Peter said very seriously. She kept her hand in his the whole time. Sometimes even skipping to help her keep up. It was much funner than running to keep up. She barely noticed the other people looking at them. It wasn't any stranger than her teeth after all.
>>"This is the place."
Abby looked up from their feet to see the big yellow sign and the brick exterior. That meant outside. It was one of her vocabulary words.
>>"C'mon lets see if we can't do something about that stomach of yours"
Abby nodded excitedly. She was really hungry. It wasn't really busy inside though maybe they had missed the lunch crowd. It would explain the few dirty tables the blonde could see.
>>"Soooo... Hows about you order the food, and your ol pal Peter will take care of the bill, my treat. Order whatever you want... Just get me something with no fish in it"
Abbigail eyed Peter at his offer. "Um, are you sure? I can eat a lot," she warned. There wasn't really a way to explain her predator's appetite. She took the seat across from him and picked up the menu. "No fish. How hungry are you?" she asked. "There's some rice dishes, noodles, chicken, beef. I don't think we should get tofu." Abby paused then as a waitress came up to them.
"What drinks will you starting with?"
"Water, please. And an order of egg rolls and spring rolls."
Peter watched as Abby's facial expression changed to an almost puzzled look at his offer. "Are you sure? I can eat alot." She seemed insistant that Peter reconsider, but he wasn't really short on cash so he didn't mind. "That makes two of us." If there was one thing Peter was known for outside of his boxing prowess, it was his appetite.
"No fish. How hungry are you?" Peter's stomach grumbled at the question. "There's some rice dishes, noodles, chicken, beef. I don't think we should get tofu." Abby was abruptly cut off as the waitress chimed in.
"What drinks will you be starting with?" The waitress asked, her eyes plastered firmly on the notepad in her hands. "Water please. And an order of egg rolls and spring rolls." The woman was quick to jot down Abby's order. "And you sir?"
She was speaking to Peter, eyes still on the notepad. "Uh ill have a... Um..." Peter fumbled for the menu. He was quite hopeless at these sorts of things. "Youre drink sir?" He looked up to see her now staring directly at him. "Uuuh coke... And... A coke" "So you want two cokes?" "Yes! I mean no... Just... Yeah ill take two cokes." He dropped the menu finally giving up on himself.
"No problem ill be with you in a minute." And with that she was gone. Words could not describe how uncomfortable or stupid Peter felt at that very moment in time. He looked back up at Abby. "Im quite hopeless at this stuff huh?" He smiled, leaning his cheek on his fist.
"Sooo..." At that moment something clicked in Peter's brain, a look of shock falling upon his face. A 12 year old girl, in the middle of Chinatown, all by herself. "Oh Peter youre an idiot" he thought to himself. Still he put on a warm smile, as not to cause any unnecesary tension. "Um Abby, where are youre parents?"

Abby just watched Peter fumble with a soft smile. It had taken her a long time to get used to speaking to strangers at restaurants by herself. Eventually she accepted that practice could only help with her self-confidence.
>>"I'm quite hopeless at this stuff huh?"
Abby shook her head. "It takes practice. I've been here two years and I find it hard sometimes."
>>"Sooo... Um Abby, where are you're parents?"
The little blonde looked up from the menu at the question. "They're dead. My Aunt and Uncle take care of me... Sort of. I go to Xavier's Sister School. It's a boarding school." She took a long look at the menu before speaking up again. "How does beef congee, fried rice, and some lo mein sound?"
