ooc: this thread is continued on from theultimatexmen.proboards26.com/index.cgi?board=northamerica&action=display&thread=1196563540The song I'm using (I like making song posts) is by Ben Folds. Cuz I love that guy. The melody itself isn't quite as sad as I'd like, but I thought the lyrics were very true to the Raina/Rupe situation. ic: Raina was escorted back to her cell and saw that Natalie was not there. Without thinking she sat down on the younger mutants bed. She stared at her hands blinking. It took her a moment to realize she was crying. I know that you're in there I can see you You're saying you're ok I don't believe you
And now that the gig is off The spell is broken The fat lady sung The president has spokenShe began to sob until her collar kicked in and the sobbing subsided. She sniffled and slumped her head. She'd barely seen his face but she knew it was Rupert. She'd know him anywhere. It was her own fault the situation had gotten as bad as it did. Afterall, Rupert made it clear his feelings about mutants... it wasn't fair of her to think he would change or do anything less than what he thought was right. These days that you were waiting for Will come and go Like any day Just another dayShe stood up suddenly feeling anxious and began to walk through the small room, pacing back and forth. She absentmindedly put her hand to her stomach. After 7 weeks the pit of emptiness had never left the small space. There's never gonna be a moment of truth for you While the world is watching All you need is the thing you forgotten And that's to learn to live with what you areHer lips began to tremble as she thought about the baby she would have had. She changed her thoughts back to Rupert. It wasn't his fault she decided. He didn't know. He didn't know she was pregnant. He didn't know she was a mutant. She should have been honest from the get go. She sat in the middle of the room on the floor completley overwhelmed by the situation. So freak out if you wanna And I'll still be here Don't call me for years and when you do Yeah, I'll still be here
I'm not saying the effort is a waste of time - but I Just love you for the things you couldn't change Though you've tried These hours of confusion they will soon expire Like everything DoesThat's when it hit her and hit her hard. It didn't matter how angry she was him, with the situation either. She'd even lost a child. He'd hung up, he'd ignored, he'd been here this whole time and never once reached out. But it didn't matter. It didn't matter. she knew she still loved Rupert. She hated herself for it. Sometimes Everything you've ever wanted Floats above He's sticking out his tongue and laughing While everything Anyone can ever need Is down below Waiting for you To know this There's never gonna be a moment of truth for you While the world is watching All you need is the thing you've forgotten And that's to learn to live with what you are
You got to learn to live with what you You got to learn to live with what you Are
She rocked herself back and forth like a child trying to calm themselves.
