The X-men run missions and work together with the NYPD, striving to maintain a peaceful balance between humans and mutants. When it comes to a fight, they won't back down from protecting those who need their help.
Haven presents itself as a humanitarian organization for activists, leaders, and high society, yet mutants are the secret leaders working to protect and serve their kind. Behind the scenes they bring their goals into reality.
From the time when mutants became known to the world, SUPER was founded as a black-ops division of the CIA in an attempt to classify, observe, and learn more about this new and rising threat.
The Syndicate works to help bring mutantkind to the forefront of the world. They work from the shadows, a beacon of hope for mutants, but a bane to mankind. With their guiding hand, humanity will finally find extinction.
Since the existence of mutants was first revealed in the nineties, the world has become a changed place. Whether they're genetic misfits or the next stage in humanity's evolution, there's no denying their growing numbers, especially in hubs like New York City. The NYPD has a division devoted to mutant related crimes. Super-powered vigilantes help to maintain the peace. Those who style themselves as Homo Superior work to tear society apart for rebuilding in their own image.

Michael didn't so much as flinch as the Stalker decloaked. He'd grown acustom to assuming that the things would always follow potential risks, and a mutant the size of Red over there without a bracelet certainly qualifide as a risk. Now time to see how Red took to having the same restraints.
Michael watched closely out of the corner of his eye. How Red decided to play this should tell Michael a lot about him.

"May I inspect it?" Ayesac reached out for it... "Humans... and their fear of the unknown and different" he shook his head from side to side... "This does not impress me... but if it is a method for you to feel more secure, and safe, then just by my word...” he took the device from her..”If I wanted to hurt you, I would have...” he put the bracelet on his wrist... "If this proves to be a hindrance to my abilities to function as a guard, then something else will need to be thought up...”
Jeminai let her shoulders relax a little bit now that Ayesac had the contraption on his wrist. At his request to inspect it she shrugged. “There may be consequences for looking too close.” She warned. Warnings were fair. “But it will be on your wrist so I don’t see anyone fully stopping you.”
”If I wanted to hurt you, I would have...”
Jeminai gave another nod. “We need to still be careful. This is also part of the new law.”
Now all that was left was the uniform. “Ummm….” Jeminai trailed off glancing to the other guards for help. How was she supposed to go about this?
Sonya/Doug smirks at Red’s “humans and their fear of the unknown” line and subsequent dismissal of the shock cuffs, all of which she dismisses as pure brag… though she has to admit he carries it off well. With just a little bit of imagination, she can almost make herself believe he’s an alien visitor from some fantasy world filled with serene and philosophical dragons, instead of a New Yorker with an exceptionally blatant case of DNA alteration.
Still, she can’t entirely bring herself to blame him, either. Hell, if I looked like that all the time, I’d probably act like I was from outer space myself. I wonder if those wings even work? That would really suck, to be born with wings but too heavy to fly. “The atmosphere was denser on my planet”…
> “If I wanted to hurt you, I would have...”
Now that, I believe. If this guy is serious about defending the camps, the Resistance’s job just got harder. Which makes it Sonya’s job to figure out what his deal really is. So when the guard who brought up the uniforms issue looks around for help, she takes the opportunity.
"Ah, come on; you know they ain’t gonna have anything in his size. Tell you what, I’ll take Barney here over to the laundry, see if we can come up with something from the irregular stuff they don’t pass along." She steps forward, disregarding the now-visible Stalker, and shoves the door open. " You keep an eye on things here, ok?" she tells one of the other guards, then without waiting for a response adds "Come on, let’s get moving here! "

Ayesac nodded.. "First of all, Barney is a F*cking Dinosaur, that some retard made up to entertain children, but the manner of which, desensitizes children to danger.." he looked at the stalker..."you guys couldn't find me.. Until I gave myself up.. I done a better job of that, when I was in Michigan, getting my training to track and retreave run away mutants from the lab they had there.. A bloodhound has nothing on me.." he really didn't like his jewelry..
Moving to follow the Sonya/Doug (does Sonya mimic scent also?) he sniffed the air a little.. werecat was here.. he could smell her.. "Where to?"
"Ah, come on; you know they ain’t gonna have anything in his size. Tell you what, I’ll take Barney here over to the laundry, see if we can come up with something from the irregular stuff they don’t pass along."
There was a relieved look that went across Jeminai’s face. Few. Now all she had to do was file his paper work and send the forms out to whoever the return to sender address went to. “Right, that works for me.” She said gathering the paper work.
“Good luck.” She offered as the new big red guard and Doug disappeared down the hall way. Alright then.
> "First of all, Barney is a F*cking Dinosaur, that some > retard made up to entertain children, but the manner of which, > desensitizes children to danger.."
"Barney don’t look no more like any kind of real dinosaur than you do, Red. But, yeah, you got a point about the desensitization thing… next time we get invaded by giant purple monsters, I bet a whole generation of kids’ll get themselves killed inviting them over for picnics an’ stuff, ‘stead of coming after ‘em with shotguns."
Privately, she wonders what he’d actually meant by the “desensitizing” business – did he really mean to suggest that people who look scary are necessarily dangerous? – and hopes her teasing will poke him into explaining himself further.
> "you guys couldn't find me.. Until I gave myself up.. > I done a better job of that, when I was in Michigan, > getting my training to track and retrieve runaway > mutants from the lab they had there.. A bloodhound > has nothing on me.."
"That so? Man, you’re gonna hate working here then. Not everybody’s all that clean, know what I mean?" She files the background information about the mutant-imprisoning lab in Michigan away, hoping for an opportunity to discretely ask more about it.
(( OOC: Yup, Sonya mimics scent. More generally, mimics all physical and some mental attributes. See post #11 on this thread for details. ))
(( OOC: Waiting a little before shuttling you to the Laundry, in case anyone currently on this thread wants to keep you… ))
(( OOC: OK… moving Sonya/Doug and Red over to the Laundry Pool. Anyone who wants to weigh in with anything before we leave, go ahead and I’ll edit accordingly. ))

Michael hadn't missed a second of what had passed. Big red had failed to impress him. The guy was overconfident, especially when he questioned the bracelet. He thought he was in a position to make demands then he was very much mistaken. This was the humans show, like it or not. If they wanted the big guy to tap dance for them red would have two choices, tap dance or solitary.
Still, hopefully he'd keep some of the guards attention on him as opposed to Michael, allowing him to go about his buisness with less hassel. One thing was for sure, Michael was not going to be looking to get all chummy with the new mutant guard.

Raina had watched everything in utter surprise and couldn't help but latch on the Micheal a little out of fear. She wanted to ask them if any of them would be doing the community service but her previous encounter with Rupert made it very hard for her to talk.
She watched as Doug and the red thing went away and she let out a sigh of relief. Even though they were all mutants, Raina couldn't help but be a little nervous around someone so blantantly different.
The arrival of the big red guy shocked Nika as she looked him over. Her first thought was that maybe it was Abyss. That thought quickly vanished when she got a better look and saw the distinct dragon like features. What shocked Nika more was the sudden appearance of the sneaky robot. In fact she could almost swear she could feel the claws slashing into her again. A quick placement of her hand on her side revealed she was fine, but obviously had emotional and mental scarring as well as physical.
There was a brief exchange of words between the new guy and the robot before the thing vanished again and the new mutant gaurd was shown off elsewhere. Nika looked to the others and saw Raina clasped to Michael.
"Well, things just keep getting more and more interesting around here don't they?"
It was very apparent that she was being sarcastic but that was her personality.
