(Under construction) Ghosts of New York (Clay's Ghostly NPC's)Call died during an arrest gone wrong and is one of Clays best friends and a sometimes reluctant partner during his investigations. She was around thirty when she died and always appears dressed in the jeans, black boots, dark top and red leather jacket she died in. Her hair is dark, long and pulled back into a loose ponytail. Around her neck she wore a badge marking he as a detective for the NYPD. Her death wound is a bloody gunshot just above her heart. She can make it come and go but it usually appears when she is upset or nervous. Or when she wants to annoy Clay. She has no bias toward mutants in general but disapproves of the X-Men, seeing them as vigilante. The ghost of a homeless man who died in his sleep while sleeping on the streets during a particularly cold New York winter. Robert is a short homeless man with a thick beard and overly ambitious nose, his tattered clothes still covered in the damp snow and ice that had killed him. He is rude, unforgiving and stubborn as a brick wall. He looks out for the ghosts of New York and will remind Clay from time to time that the reason so many help him is because he promised to do what he could to help lay them to rest. A little girl of seven or eight in a pretty white dress and bright red shoes. She died years ago but wont pass on without her sister who is currently ninety’s years old. She gets board sometimes and wanders around the city while he sisters asleep. Bell sometimes does favours for Clay but will disappear and reappear at random times as the mood takes her. Rules for Ghosts.I know there are more mutants than Clay that can see/interact with ghosts, but here are my rules for ghosts. - They are made of ectoplasm, smoke and memories. All their colours are muted and they flicker in and out of visibility with wind currents. They glow very faintly in the dark but are harder to see in daylight.
- Ghosts are their own people, Clay cannot force them to do anything or demand their help. Sometimes they will ignore his requests for help or wander off.
- Clay cannot touch ghosts or affect them in any way. The reverse is also true. But ghosts can affect each other to a limited extent.
- They cannot be seen, heard or felt by humans/mutants that don’t have a mutation that affects the dead. But they do create cold spots where they stand which anyone can feel.
- Gravity only affects them when they want it too. They don't need light to see and they can walk through walls like they aren't even there.
- They can only appear in the clothes they died in. The wounds that killed them can appear and disappear with their changing mood. They can also summon small things such as cigarettes, weapons or other items, things they knew well in life. But any objects they manifest can only affect themselves, nothing else.
