Abby was making her way to the pool again. While the water felt uncomfortable to her skin with the cold weather, there were very few quiet places in the mansion. Finals were coming up causing many to find time for the library and study groups in rooms with open doors and hallways. The pool had been her quiet place during the cold months.
Entering the pool area, the small blonde made her way to one of the durable chairs. Sitting down Abby pulled out a new book her uncle had sent her. It was about sharks. Though a nice idea, it wasn't something the little shark mermaid wanted to read about. The only reason for it to be opened now was her impending trip home. Her uncle would ask about it; she was sure of that. Opening the book, Abbigail tried to get caught up in the facts it gave her.
Halfway through, Abby sighed and leaned back in the suddenly comfortable chair. No one would notice if she took a nap. She could finish the book later in the week. The little nine year old lightly dozed by the pool.

OOC: That's ok IC: Ted walked to the pool. In this weather it was rather chilly and he certainly didn't like the cold. It was around finals and he needed a break from studying. There were certain times of the year that he really didn't like. Finals was one of them. He'd spent much of his time cramming and making up work that he'd missed for various reasons. Teddy wanted to get away. He needed to figure somethings out and it wasn't something that his doctor could help him work out. At least not right at the moment. Either way he turned the cold wind bit at his skin. There was no getting away from it. Well, not unless he went back in and put more clothes on. He had no intention of doing that. But wait... There was one way for him to get out of the wind. He concentrated on a creature that could to multiple things. He shrunk almost immediately and his body grew faux feathers and darkened. A gold patch grew on his chest, while the rest of his front turned white. His back became all black, along with his head. The penguin waddled the rest of the way through the not-so-biting wind and not-so-cold-anymore-weather to the pool. He needed to get some fun and exercise. That's why the pool was his choice. The stuffed animal shifter waddled to the pool slid in with a faint plop. The water didn't affect him, even though he felt a little like a sponge absorbing some of the water. But it didn't make him cold at all. When the shifter surfaced he saw a person napping on one of the chairs. It's too cold out to sleep out here. Teddy thought. He swam around a little, surfacing now and then much like a real penguin would. The only sound that came was from his submersion and surfacing.
