The X-men run missions and work together with the NYPD, striving to maintain a peaceful balance between humans and mutants. When it comes to a fight, they won't back down from protecting those who need their help.
Haven presents itself as a humanitarian organization for activists, leaders, and high society, yet mutants are the secret leaders working to protect and serve their kind. Behind the scenes they bring their goals into reality.
From the time when mutants became known to the world, SUPER was founded as a black-ops division of the CIA in an attempt to classify, observe, and learn more about this new and rising threat.
The Syndicate works to help bring mutantkind to the forefront of the world. They work from the shadows, a beacon of hope for mutants, but a bane to mankind. With their guiding hand, humanity will finally find extinction.
Since the existence of mutants was first revealed in the nineties, the world has become a changed place. Whether they're genetic misfits or the next stage in humanity's evolution, there's no denying their growing numbers, especially in hubs like New York City. The NYPD has a division devoted to mutant related crimes. Super-powered vigilantes help to maintain the peace. Those who style themselves as Homo Superior work to tear society apart for rebuilding in their own image.

”Maybe I will?” Sam asked angling a smirk in Maya’s direction. ”Doubt you’d work up the stones to ask her out anyways, already have one who obviously likes you and ya do nothing about it.” Doc slammed his hand on Sam’s burn and Sam winced. His chest started to get warm and his burn was quickly healing he also felt his ribs and other aches and pains melt away, the beauty of having a healer on staff. Sam looked from Doc to Maya who was busy pouting.
”Quit being a baby, I’ll stop bugging you about the girl.” Sam said only to add a quick smirk to Doc who was trying his best to heal Sam quickly, ”Just let me know if you are passing on Evee, so I can take her out... or red” Sam started to laugh but only ended it when Doc pushed his burn a little harder. ”Ow!” Sam exclaimed as Doc gave him a look, “Don’t think you need any more girl trouble.” Doc said only glancing over to Maya before he finished healing Sam.
Sam sat and let Doc finish before he hopped of the patient table and touched his bare chest before putting the shirt with the hand print hole and the burnt edges. Sam looked down to his shirt and nodded ”Think it gives the shirt some character” Sam shifted his gaze back to Maya then added, ”Round two you ready to go?” Sam asked hoping he wouldn’t have to find a new means for transportation.
>>”Maybe I will? Doubt you’d work up the stones to ask her out anyways, already have one who obviously likes you and ya do nothing about it.”
"Obviously..." Maya muttered, folding her arms. Sam, once again, had no idea what he was talking about. People loved him that way.
>>”Quit being a baby, I’ll stop bugging you about the girl. Just let me know if you are passing on Evee, so I can take her out... or red”
"Be my guest. Maybe you can distract her from destroying Manhattan."
That would have been a feat for a superhero. Epic Charisma, here we go. She did not comment on Eve. The thought just bugged her in a way she did not want to pay attention to.
>>"Round two you ready to go?”
"Yeah let's go." Maya nodded, ignoring DocProf's signature eye roll as she slid off her seat and joined Sam by the mirror.

Maya didn’t say much and Sam didn’t make any more comments about Eve or the redhead. It was clear Sam was getting under her skin at this point and even though he loved getting under her skin Sam knew when to stop he didn’t always though but this time he did. Hopping into the mirror world was always an odd experience for him. To think that a thin piece of glass was capable of a large complex highway system to all the other reflections, Sam kept his wonder to himself and then started to move back towards the city.
Sam’s earpiece buzzed and he looked to Maya, ”Looks like we got another hit another robbery…” Sam said trying not to sound irritated. It seemed there were a pair of thugs in one of his favorite watering holes an adult one and they were holding up the joint. Why anyone would rob a strip club Sam didn’t know they would mostly get small bills and singles.
Sam started to move in the direction of the club without telling Maya where they were going. ”Ever go to the artic lounge before?” Sam asked Maya as he turned down a side street when they hit the city. He had skated this way and drove in the direction of the club enough times to get there in his sleep. Lately he had been going there quite a bit. Sam stopped before they were there, ”Not a word of this to anyone else.” Sam said as he turned back towards the large neon sign of a few penguins and a large iceberg with the name, ‘The Artic lounge’.
Deciding against a direct approach and just entering the club the old fashion way Sam decided to keep in the Mirror world and enter it through the reflections just incase these guys who were robbing it were serious. Once inside the club Sam spotted a few of the girls he had seen before dancing on the stages as a few men were sitting around staring at them.
Sam blinked once then realized that a few of the girls movements weren’t fully natural it was like they were almost being forced to move certain ways that was when he heard a somewhat familiar voice. One he hoped he’d never hear again. “Places ladies, I head he comes here often and with all the chaos going outside we want to make sure he has a good time right?” said the familiar and all too flamboyant voice. “Now, 5, 6, 7, 8!” Sam spotted a all too familiar get up. ”He is still wearing that ridiculous costume?” Sam asked to Maya as he shook his head and jumped out of the mirror world onto the bar. ”I thought you were still in prison?”
