Evelyn nodded understandingly, and flashed a small smile to the younger girl. "I guess that's true. I've had more than enough people freak out because they thought I could read their minds, so I sort of know the feeling. I can't actually read minds, but sometimes what people assume you can do is enough..." She felt like she was wandering in circles with the conversation, and pushed her hair from her face again. It was more of a nervous gesture than something necessary to help see or anything like that.

She listened as Serena continued, and nodded slightly. "Well I guess that's encouraging. Any progress controlling your powers is good. I've always been a mutant, but I don't really know how much my control has grown. My Echoes seem to have a mind of their own. But at least yours is something you can grow with like that." She mused out loud. The clock chimed on the wall and her brain scanned her memories to sort out what time it was sounding.

Early. That was just far too early. Another night gone, sleepless again.

Serena had thoroughly enjoyed the conversation with Evelyn, she thought that the woman was incredibly nice and also very perceptive, although it may have been heavily influenced by her mutation, she still had a keen intellect and was very good conversation.

Serena smiled in response to Evelyn, her smile showing her fatigue, her eyes beginning to feel slightly heavy, her muscles started to slow, She was clearly very, very tired.

Warding off sleep as she did often ended in her beginning to simply pass out after a certain amount of time she had spent keeping the sleeps embrace away.

Serena smiled at Evelyn once more. "Right, Evelyn, it has been wonderful meeting you and you have been very pleasant conversation, thank you for keeping me company in warding off sleep... But as I feel as if I'm going to pass out any minute, I shall have to head for bed, Good night, I hope to see you around again soon." she said with a sleep, but fatigued tone.

And with that, Serena returned to her room, falling asleep almost instantly, content after having such a wonderful conversation with Evelyn and making her as a new friend.
