Riot Plot Pt.3: Let the Chaos Begin!

When it rains, it pours.

No one(Well, mostly no one) knows if it was by some act of inhuman mischievousness, deliberate sabotage, or just a horrifying coincidence, but on the same morning a news broadcast went out featuring a certain roughed up mutant news correspondent, two protests were scheduled in the middle of time square.

One was a pro-mutant rights rally, and the other, and anti-mutant rights walk. The NYPD was on the scene, attempting to get everything under control; they almost succeeded when the video of Maxine Ralls being assaulted popped up on the advertising screens. Soon after, all hell broke loose.

Some say it started with a gunshot into the crowd, some say a mutant attacked the barricade. The only thing that was certain, was that the riots had begun; For better or for worse, they would play a hand in shaping the way the world looked at the "mutant issue."

Would it stand as proof to those who were mistrustful of mutant kind that they were truly as dangerous as it was feared?

Would people look back and say that the lashing out of an oppressed people was justified?

All of that was yet to be discerned... For now, there was only chaos.

Part 3 of the Riot Plot is finally here! Let's go over he details, shall we?

Over the last few months, the tension in the air has been thick between the humans and their mutant cousins. It all started when a video of a young mutant, Gina Schuyler, was brutally assaulted by several NYPD police officers. After their acquittal, protests started on both sides of the issue.

That leads us to where we are now; A week of rioting in New York city.

Will you join the MRC, X-men, and NYPD in trying to maintain order?

Speaking of Order, will you join the mutant extremist faction as they sew the seeds of chaos?

You have a week of IC time in which to plot your character's path through the ordeal, though OOC, you can take all of the time you need. Threads will be posted up for plotting, and linking threads for the archive!
