The X-men run missions and work together with the NYPD, striving to maintain a peaceful balance between humans and mutants. When it comes to a fight, they won't back down from protecting those who need their help.
Haven presents itself as a humanitarian organization for activists, leaders, and high society, yet mutants are the secret leaders working to protect and serve their kind. Behind the scenes they bring their goals into reality.
From the time when mutants became known to the world, SUPER was founded as a black-ops division of the CIA in an attempt to classify, observe, and learn more about this new and rising threat.
The Syndicate works to help bring mutantkind to the forefront of the world. They work from the shadows, a beacon of hope for mutants, but a bane to mankind. With their guiding hand, humanity will finally find extinction.
Since the existence of mutants was first revealed in the nineties, the world has become a changed place. Whether they're genetic misfits or the next stage in humanity's evolution, there's no denying their growing numbers, especially in hubs like New York City. The NYPD has a division devoted to mutant related crimes. Super-powered vigilantes help to maintain the peace. Those who style themselves as Homo Superior work to tear society apart for rebuilding in their own image.

Tses' emotions were going haywire; she felt happier than she had ever felt before, just being there in the arms of someone she cared about. But she also felt more terrified than she had ever felt before, her heart on the line along with everything else. For now, she tried to bury the fear, and just fall asleep. She'd have to deal with the emotions eventually, but rest needed to come first.
The pulse of pain in her head had let up a little, but she still felt weak and drained. She listened as Ty spoke, and sighed, starting to fall asleep, but before she did, she said one more thing, in a calm but collected voice. It was a moment killer, probably, but that was just how Tses tended to be. "I'd enjoy being here while you can.... if you're still laying here when I wake up though, I'd watch out." It probably didn't sound threatening in the half asleep murmur, but it was a subtle reminder of how volatile their relationship could be. Cute one moment, deadly the next.

Ty's emotions were finally calm. This felt so perfect, so...amazing. The reminder didn't surprise him; it was part of why he left the first time he'd spent the night here. He was afraid she'd snap again. But this time, he merely nodded.
"I'll be back on the couch by then, I promise," he whispered. "Just let me enjoy this. It's...nice," He held her as she fell asleep, just feeling her breathe, watching her. She was so peaceful at this time. So beautiful. But he felt himself starting to doze off, which could be a bad thing if the coin lands wrong tomorrow. Carefully, he took his arm out from around her, and let go of her hand.
Ty sat up, leaning down and softly planting his lips against hers before he got up and made his way back to the couch. But sleep didn't last long. For some reason, he was restless now. After a couple hours, he arose and put his shoes on. The pain in his leg was better, for the most part, and he walked out.
But he didn't stay gone. When he came back, he had assorted groceries, and made his way to her kitchen before lying down again. But when dawn broke through the window, Ty was up yet again, only this time the smell of coffee, pancakes, and bacon filled the apartment. Ty sat at the table, sipping a cup of coffee, waiting for Tses to awake. She's either gonna love this....or kill me.
As Tses started to wake, her brain registered things that didn't quite make sense. For one, she smelt bacon, and that was something she'd only encountered a few times in restaurants. Growing up, no one ever cooked, so the smell was something pleasantly unique. She muttered slightly in confusion, stomach grumbling, and felt her eyes finally flicking open.
The first thing she noted was there was no figure sleeping the on the couch. While she didn't really expect there to be, considering Ty typically snuck out before she could attack him with her morning rudeness, it left her still bewildered by the smells she was still registering. Swinging her feet to the ground, and standing slowly, she turned and saw Ty sitting at the table, sipping what she assumed was a cup of coffee. Her eyes narrowed, and she stared at the cup, mouth pulling into a confused frown.
"I have a coffee pot?" She muttered in confusion, and glanced over towards the stove where several pans were on burners. Her face grew even more bewildered. "And.... I honestly don't think I've ever turned that dumb thing on..." Her face pinched into a fighter frown of bewilderment, then she flinched and carefully touched her forehead. There was no real bump, but she could feel the prickles of a bruise, and she quickly swiped her bangs over her forehead. Like a sleepy child, she shuffled to the table, and plopped next to him. In the mornings, she looked more like a child than anything else.

Ty chuckled, looking at her. He'd left his jacket draped over a chair, so he was wearing his tee-shirt from the day before. "Morning~ Yeah. I found it tucked in a corner, covered in dust. But after a good cleaning it still works. And the oven took awhile to fire up, but it's decent too." He smiled, motioning to the food.
"Help yourself~ Thought I'd surprise ya this morning." On the table was a bottle of syrup, and aside from the pans on the burners, the kitchen was still pretty much clean. Though he was the one who cooked it, he was waiting on her to fix a plate first. "I know we've both had it a bit rough, so I hope this helps you some, ya know?" He looked at her hopefully.
Tses blinked at him, her expression still slightly bewildered. It was an odd look for her. Her pigtails had come down, and her hair was just past her shoulders and slightly messy, and her eyes were slightly side. Without the scowl on her face, she looked much prettier, but there was no way she would believe it if you told her. Shrugging her shoulders slightly, she got up and found some paper plates, plopping them on the counter and spooning some of the food out onto it. Then she got a cup and looked at the coffee curiously, like it was some foreign monster. With a frown, she put water in the cup instead, and put her stuff on the table. then she snatched Ty's cup before he could say anything and sniffed the coffee smell curiously.
"I don't want to waste a cup. You should let me try yours." She said, sticking out her tongue and scooting out of his reach. Her bare feet pattered on the cold floor, the bandages muffling the sound a bit. Without waiting for his approval, she took a little sip, and quickly made a face, almost spitting it back out. She moved back over to the table, shoved the cup back in his hands, and downed her own cup of water.
"Ok, I've decided you have no taste buds. That is atrocious. No wonder I never used that dumb pot thing." She grumbled, and shoved a piece of bacon in her mouth. The taste was sweet and tangy, and it knocked the frown right off her face. A little smile glimmered on her lips, and she plopped down and started eating without further commentary.

Ty chuckled as she snatched his cup. Okay, now this was what he saw as stereotypical behavior. Strange coming from her, but he had to say he liked it. Alot more than she liked his coffee, apparently. Ty chuckled again, brushing his hair from his face and grabbing a plate, fixing it with pancakes and bacon.
"Sorry. This is what gets me up in the morning," he replied, sticking his tongue out at her before taking another sip of coffee then tearing into his breakfast. "So, you like the food, at least?" He smiled, thinking of how pretty she looked with a smile. He loved it. So much that it made him smile. "Hey if you don't want it, think I can take it back home with me? I need one in my room," he said, half joking.
Tses nodded her head when he asked about the food, and swallowed before answering; a mildly considerate action for her. "Yeah, I think it's great. I've never had bacon outside of a restaurant before. Heck, I never eat anything unless it's been cooked by a restaurant. That stove has never seen this much love." She laughed, and with all the delicacy she possessed she scarfed the rest of her food. She couldn't help it. She ate like she was starving almost constantly. It was a street kid thing. You ate fast, or you lost your meal.
"As for that dumb coffee pot, I'd say yes, but then what would you use to get coffee here?" The comment came out before she could stop it, and then her face got a little pink and she quickly got up and went to the sink to get water. "I mean, if you ever get stuck here again. Not that you really spend that much time here... or should, that is." For once, she was slightly frazzled and lacked her composed nature. Well, not that she was ever completely composed. She just masked it behind a catty personality and a snarky smile.
Ty gave a small smile as he continued eating. "Then maybe I should do this more often, show my girl and her stove some love," he teased lightly. "Though you have a point. I'm not stuck, maybe I kinda like spending the night. You know, we have some of our best times right here." Ty stood to his feet, putting his plate in the trash and taking his empty cup to the sink. He began putting the food into ziplock bags, and stowing those in the refrigerator.
Then, he began washing what little dishes he'd left behind, which was pretty much the bowl he'd mixed the pancakes in, two pans, and his coffee cup. After that he even dumped out the coffee, washed the coffee pot, and began cleaning off the stovetop and counter.
"It's not as good left over, but you can eat on that for a little while. Just pop it in the microwave and it'll be almost good as new," he said softly, walking with a less noticeable limp before sitting back down in his spot next to her.
"You know, I'm glad we get to do this. I'm rarely fond of the circumstances, but I love the outcome."
Tses rolled her eyes a little when Ty called her his girl, but she let it pass. Arguing over technicalities was rarely worth the effort with him. She watched as he started to clean, and debated trying to help. She started to move and her head gave a small throb of pain, and she thought against it and took another sip of water. Ok, so she wasn't completely feeling better. Just mostly. But as he moved, she noted he wasn't limping as much as before, so he was doing a bit better as well.
"Leftover anything is great for me." She said, finishing off the last of her food, and blushing slightly as he made the comment about staying over sometimes. She fidgeted awkwardly, and pushed her hair out of her face, glancing away as he sat down again. "Well, as much as you like it, don't expect to always get away with your cuddly stuff." She said, sticking her tongue out at him. Although, part of her inwardly hoped it wouldn't always take some tragedy for her to be ok with the boyfriend/girlfriend stuff. It just took time, and while she was ok with holding hands, it would take a very long time for anything like kissing to be acceptable.

Ty chuckled, leaning back in his chair before getting up to grab another cup of coffee, then rejoined her at the table. He shot her a goofy grin, which faded as he gave a nod. "I know...I just take whatever I can get," he said. "I just wish I could get away with it without having to wait on some disaster to happen for you to open up to me," he said honestly, looking down a little. "I mean I do like when we can cuddle, or kiss, but..." he let out a soft sigh. "it seems like the only time I can safely do so is if something happens to soften ya up first."
He didn't make eye contact with her. In fact, part of him was prepared to hop out of that chair and bolt for the door, just in case he'd set her off with his honesty. Hey, anything was possible, right?
Tses' smile slowly turned into a frown as he talked, and she picked up her spoon and flwapped him on the forehead with it, glaring. While her action was reflexively violent, it was more defensive than anything else. Inwardly, she wanted the same thing, but pushing those feelings away was easier than trying to deal with them. "Hey, if you keep complaining about it I'll make sure it never happens, disasters or not!" She glared, and then dropped the spoon in his cup of coffee, and standing up moving over to the sink with a huff.
"I'm not normal, and I hope you don't start expecting me to be." She snapped, fishing in the drawers for a towel to dry off dishes.

"I'm not EXPECTING you to be!" he yelled, dumping his coffee in the sink after she dropped the spoon in it. He didn't even want it anymore. "Maybe sometimes I'd like to feel like I'm spending time with my girlfriend instead of walking around like I'm trying to cuddle a freaking PORCUPINE!" He let out a long, heavy sigh.
"You say I mean alot to you, and that I'm your boyfriend. But ninety percent of the time you treat me like I'm just some perv trying to get into your pants. I feel like I'm playing Russian Roulette with one bullet missing..." He plopped back in his chair, resting his head on the table.
"Maybe I should just shut up and stay at arm reach...at least. Would that make you happy? If I just shut up and sit on my freaking hands all the time? At least then I won't have to worry about setting you off....Hopefully..."
Tses turned, towel in hand, and sputtered slightly with irritation. While she hadn't expected him to yell back, the fact he had set her off more. "I told you, I don't know how to be your girlfriend. I'm freckin' tryin, ok? The only person that ever came near me that wasn't trying to beat the crap out of me was my baby sister, and that was 13 years ago. You'd be skittish too!" She snarled, watching him dump out the coffee and glaring as he sat back down. "I'm sorry if you think that's how I'm treating you, but everytime I feel like we make progress, I feel like you're just pouting because it's never enough." She tossed the towel in the sink, and watched at is soaked up diluted coffee. The gritty drink stained the towel quickly, just like the negative emotions were staining her mind.
"I don't know what to tell you Ty. I don't want you to stop trying, but I don't want to keep making you miserable when you do." She flipped the facet on and watched the water start pushing the dark liquid down the sink.

"Wrong. We make progress, then we freaking go backwards! The only time I can safely kiss you is when you're a-freaking-sleep!" he grumbled. "Skittish, and hostile are two completely different words. I'm doing the best I can, but right now I'm not even sure where this relationship even stands. Every time I try something sweet, I fear for my own safety, but I try anyway because I'm doing it for you...." He kept his head on the table, starting to sob a little.
"I never complained. I'm just being honest. I actually feel most comfortable when we're yelling...because at least then I know we're on the same page...." he murmured. "I finally get through those walls you put up, and then you explode on me for trying to act like your boyfriend in the most innocent ways possible. I mean yeah, if I was only after sex or something then by all means bite my head off...But I'm not like that. Then again I am scared of even trying for a kiss so...." He shrugged, hands resting on top of his head to tangle in his hair.
Tses turned off the sink, and glared at him, hands shaking slightly with frustration. "I'm not the only one whose hostile! You're the one who put a hole in the kitchen wall!" She snapped, pointing at the evidence over her shoulder. "You act like you're the only one whose ever trying, whose ever doing anything. Give me at least a little credit! We have good times, and we have bad, but you just keep bringing up the crappy stuff and that really kinda makes me not want to have more of the cute moments because what do they matter if it always ends like this!"
She shoved a still damp cup in the cupboard, and dumped the silverware in the drawer. She didn't even care if they splattered water anywhere. She just needed something to take her frustration out on, and the utensils were once again the closest thing.
